ITA with the above-mentioned reviews! This masque is awesome!! I usually leave it for longer than indicated on the package and the results are amazing: this masque does exactly what it claims. Does not strip my color treated hair either. Will r/p. Only qualm I have is that I wish it came in a bigger tube.
Treatments -Ion - Color Defense - After-Color Sealing Treatment
Product_Junkie 1/28/2012 12:34:00 PM
Pros: seals in color; makes hair shiny; affordable; easy to apply. Cons: smells weird, doesn't really moisturize the way I wanted it to. Overall: I prefer color sealing conditioners/masques since I find that they moisturize very well, while preserving color.
Treatments -Ion - Color Defense - Leave-In Protector

I found this product to be above average but not amazing, however it is quite effective. For some reason, serums work better on my hair when I blow dry straight ( I use the Ion oil free glosser) ; when I use this spray my hair has a lot of body and shine w/out buildup, but I find it is not moisturizing enough for my fine, naturally curly hair...I have only used it twice thus far, so maybe it will work better after time and I should probably use more of it. Given the price point and the ingredients though, this spray is far superior to other ones I have tried in the past (both low end and high end). That said, I am not sure if I will r/p or not. Overall, good product.
Love this deep conditioning treatment!! It makes hair moisturized, soft, shiny and smooth minus the buildup. This treatment also makes my hair feel and look stronger; the scent is quite flowery and pleasant too; this treatment also does not strip or fade my color-treated hair. Definitely worth the price-great quality and lasts a long time. 5 lippies.
I am impressed with this conditioner, as it does it exactly what it claims: softens hair; adds shine; moisturizes;preserves haircolour; does not leave buildup; and is non-greasy. I leave this in for about 15-20 minutes, even though as per the instructions, they say to rinse out immediately. My hair is very easy to comb and is more manageable and has a good amount of body and bounce afterwards. This conditioner is quite pricey though (around $22 CAD), but seems to last a good amount of time, since the consistency is quite thick. Will r/p.
I found this to be a great colour;it is nicely pigmented and brightens my face. I initially was turned off by the colour, seeing it in the tube, but once I applied it, the shade suited me-I usually pair it with spice lipliner and I like the results! will r/p.
Love this shade of red !! The quality is awesome, doesn't chip;doesn't clump; and lasts a long time. Will def. r/p.
Treatments -Wella - Brilliance Treatment for Fine to Normal Colored Hair
Product_Junkie 11/6/2011 12:13:00 PM
Came across this treatment at my salon when I was getting my hair re-coloured. The scent is amazing (somewhat fruity yet not overpowering); the texture is thick but not gloopy. This treatment comes in two versions: one for fine to normal hair; another one for thick to coarse hair. My hairdresser and colorist recommended the fine to normal one, even though my hair is naturally curly, thus is naturally prone to dryness. After using this mask a on my hair after getting it coloured at the salon, I loved the way my hair felt and looked so I purchased the mask. When I tried it at home, I left in on for more than the recommended time (5 minutes as per the label), as I usually leave treatments in my hair for 15-20 minutes + since I blowdry and flat iron regularly. My hair was soft, shiny, and moisturized-I found no oiliness or dryness. The mask itself comes in a small tub, that is the only qualm I have, but it works very well for me. The price is about $13. Overall, good product, will be repurchasing after this tub is done. 5 Lippies :-)
Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Zotos Diamond Shine Shampoo for Color Treated Hair
Product_Junkie 11/6/2011 11:58:00 AM
I found this shampoo to be wonderful-it does exactly what it claims: preserves my hair color;adds strength and shine; moisturizes and smells wonderful (somewhat fresh and apple-like). It does not leave my hair dry or greasy either; the texture of the shampoo white and creamy-it lathers and cleans thoroughly w/out stripping my hair colour. It is available at Sally's for about $8.99; I managed to find it a local salon on a whim for pretty much the same price. The price is good and quality amazing, IMO/IME. Will definitely be repurchasing. 5 Lippies :-)
I am impressed with the lipgloss from MAC...I agree with most of the reviews re: the lack of colour, as I thought this one would be more pigmented like the other plushglass l/g that i already have (Power Supply and Ample Pink). It looks very glittery and sparkly in the tube; once applied on my lips, it leaves more of a sheer "stain" with a subtle pink/berry tint. Although sheer, the colour still is nice and paired with lipliner, I find the colour looks better. Overall, I like this product, but I wish it would be a little more pigmented.
Pros: nice texture; affordable; easily available @ SDM. Cons: overpowering scent, greasy. Overall, this conditioning treatment is not bad per se, but it is not great either. Will not r/p.
Wow!! I never thought that I would find another serum that works just as well, if not better than Zero Frizz!! I bought this at Sally's. I tend to be quite picky with serums because either they are too oily, heavy or leave buildup. This one has 2 silicones and ethylhexyl methoxicinnimate, (which, I think is a UV protector), as per the ingredients on the package;there doesn't seem to be any oil or alcohol. A little surprisingly goes a long way. When I first tried it on damp hair after shampooing and conditioning, my hair was soft, smooth, manageable and shiny minus the buildup and grease;my hair was not weighed down. Moreover, I found this glosser to help keep my hair from frizzing in humid/rainy weather. The shine is wonderful; it's not a greasy shine; doesn't leave a sticky film on my hands or hair either. On dry hair it also works very well w/out being heavy. This product doesn't have a scent per se. Just works really well. I still like Zero Frizz but on dry hair it makes my hair feel tacky after a couple of hours; Ion oil-free glosser does not. That said I give this product 5 lippies :-) UPDATE: I am liking this serum more and more...I used ZF serum just to see if it was better, but I realized the Ion oil free glosser is much more effective in eliminating frizz.
Lotions/ Creams -Beyond Belief - Skin Firming Body Lotion
Product_Junkie 10/1/2011 2:14:00 PM
Wonderful body lotion-does what it is supposed to. The scent is fresh, the texture is non-greasy, but moisturizes very well.;leaves my skin feeling silky soft. This lotion also claims to help with cellulite;I am not sure about that, though since I don't have any, however, as far as softening goes, this lotion is a winner-it doesn't leave my skin feeling tacky or greasy-price-wise, it is around $5-$6 and works much better for me than St.Ives and other d/s body lotions. Beyond Belief firming lotion, in my opinion & experience seems to have more of a spa quality to it. Overall, affordable and effective. 5 lippies :-).
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Roux 233 Treatment & Shine
Product_Junkie 10/1/2011 2:00:00 PM
LOVE this product!! I picked it up at Sally's. I use it on my hair before blow-drying as well as on my hair when it is dry; this spray also works really well as a "refresher" for my hair in between washings; the scent is great; the product itself is lightweight, doesn't leave residue or greasy,is non oily, but very moisturizing and adds shine and makes hair super soft. As usual, with Sally's array of products, I am very pleasantly surprised, since this product works so much better on my hair than other leave-ins I've tried in the past (low-end or high end). Overall, this treatment leaves my hair manageable, soft and shiny...Since I blowdry and flat iron my naturally curly hair which is also color-treated, Roux t&shine definitely keeps my hair in good condition. That said, from my experience, this product does exactly what it says; the only drawback is that it is not available in stores.
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
Product_Junkie 7/31/2011 12:17:00 PM
This review is for the LTR new formula shampoo. I find that the shampoo works really, really well; my hair is medium-long...can't say if this shampo makes the hair grow longer or not, however, it works really well at maintaining the overall health and length of my hair, in that the shampoo moisturizes and adds shine, detangles and cleans thoroughly at the same time w/out feeling greasy or dry. The scent is fab too, along with the texture. I was actually surprised, since I wasn't a big fan of HE products in the past. That being said, I am so glad Clairol launched this new formula--I truly was not expecting LTR shampoo to work just as well, if not better than salon grade shampoos...Haven't tried the matching conditioner yet though...Overall, I give this shampoo 5 lippies. UPDATE/EDIT: I am knocking off 2 lippies (I really wanted to like this product); Over time, I found my hair to be more weighed down and slightly greasy, however when I washed my hair with LTR shampoo, my hair felt so clean and smooth and the scent is amazing, but two days later my hair was flat and somewhat greasy. Will not r/p
