I made my friend buy these as she needed some staples for her make up collection. She bought a brown/pink combo and a plum/beige combo (or vice versa...) I then proceeded to try them out on her and myself and OMG! these eyeshadows are amazing! such good value and with a primer or a MAC paintpot underneath their intensity lasts all day woo wee if I didn't have too much eyeshadow already I would buy every single damn color!!

soft soft soft! absolutely beautiful brushes! my favs are the foundation, blush and powder brush, am going to get the kabuki brush soon (I have been banned from buying cosmetics and/or associated items for a while due to my recent ridiculous haul, no, seriously, I FILLED a new and massive make up case...in a couple weeks) I have taken off a lippie for the failings of the eyeshadow brush (I have reviewed it separately) Best of all, no animal hair and cheap cheap cheap!

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - bamboo eye shading brush

I love most of the other ecotools brushes and if you need a basic set for basic everyday make up then this one is acceptable, however if you want to blend, use pigment or create a dramatic look, this is not the eyeshadow brush for you. The brush is not stiff enough to pat on dramatic color and not soft enough the blend in the crease etc. what it does do is sweep on some color for a subtle look or applies concealer or primer well :) I do like using brushes that can guarantee no animal hair has been used however...

Foundations -Bourjois - Brush Foundation (Pinceau)

I bought this today and am wearing it as we speak, it is such a beautiful light texture and has excellent coverage. I find the shades are a bit limited I am a NC25ish and ended up with medium, but could have gone either way really, especially since it's summer here and I am currently recovering from a post music festival burn... It is probably more of a winter foundation as it the product is a little oily, I wouldn't wear this on a really hot day because it has the potential to get shiny! I absolutely love love love the coverage however and the fact that it has a brush attached, great for the purse and saves carting around a foundation brush I also have the brush concealer in the lightest color and it is amazing! no more dark circles for me! these two babies are a great combo, I can't believe I didn't discover Bourjois earlier! xx

Mascara -Bourjois - Volume Clubbing

I can't believe so many people dislike this product! it is the best thing for a clutsy girl who cannot do false eyeashes to save her life, they make my eyelashes so long and big! however, there is a technique to it which I was lucky enough to witness on MUG (Angelina Jolie tutorial) before purchasing so I am going to plagiarize here and re-emphasise Conny's (down below) instructions because if you are going to get any success with this product you need to know this; 1) Wipe off excess product on the rim on the tube (this is soooo important and if you don't do this, you WILL get clumpy, messy mascara) 2) Use flat side to apply mascara 3) Use the side with the bristles to comb in short, sharp strokes. I also twist the brush as I apply the mascara starting with the thicker side facing upward I use the brown and it is my everyday mascara

Eyeliner -Prestige - Waterproof Eyeliner

YES YES AND YES! after wasting my money on the prestige soft kohl pencil I realised I had actually bought the wrong type of eyeliner, so I went back after reading these reviews and picked one up in brown.... amazing! I can now do my lids on the train on the way to work with one hand as I don't have to stretch my eyes to apply a even straight line. It glides on so well and wait for it... applies to my water line! woohoo! I am yet to try UD 24/7 I have the little pack coming in the mail shortly so will report pack and confirm that this little beauty is in fact a good duplicate

Highlighters -Prestige - Skin Loving Minerals Sunbaked in Pure Shimmer
rated 4 of 5

Because I live in Australia I had to fork out over thirty dollars for this product so on that note, reading the other reviews I think I will be buying online next time... Besides the stupid price tag (I actual could have bought MAC for around the same amount) it is a really good highlighter, gives a healthy glow and is great to carry in your purse and dab and blend with your fingers if you are feeling a little dull... It is a really really nice power well pigmented and moist however I wouldn't recommend wearing it without a primer as it seem to accentuate my pores without it. I am impressed that it is wholly mineral based and Talc free which is more then I can say for MACs mineralise skin finish Besides that it really needs a mirror in the compact!

Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Modelista Eyeliner Pack

I got this on special at Target for AUS$5.00 and it is awesome for that price! the colors are vibrant and go on fairly smooth and the variety of colors you get is fantastic! they don't go on the waterline very easily but they do have long lasting wear. This set is no equivalent to Urban Decay's 24/7 kit but the price is right and the colors are fun!
