Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - La Rose Du Petit Prince

I stumbled across this in the clearance section at Winners for about $7, so I figured, why not? I promptly forgot about it as soon as I got home, but a while ago I uncovered it and decided to try it out. I love it, it's a beautiful, light-ish rose scent on myself. Lasts forever, and makes me smell delicious. As an experiment, I spritzed it on my boyfriend one day. On him, it's a deeper, more musky scent, with the orange notes more prominent than when I wear it. He remarked that he thought he smelled like a forest when he wore it, and I quite agree. Also, the bottle is enormous, considering for what I spent on it. I'd definitely buy this again.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Smoky ShadowBlast
rated 1 of 5
Paramore 5/7/2010 10:48:00 PM

This product is horrible, horrible, horrible; hands down one of the worst things I've ever used. The cylinder of shadow falls out of the tube, for one thing, it creases like crazy, and it feels really greasy when applied to the lid. I honestly don't know why people would want to buy this in the first place.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Bright Duo - Flamboyant #538
rated 3 of 5
Paramore 4/30/2010 9:36:00 AM

These L'Oreal shadow duos have always confused me; I have three, and they all follow the same pattern of the left side of the palette being beautiful., rich and pigmented, while the right side is chalky, not very pigmented and hard to apply. This shadow duo is no different. The golden shadow is gorgeous and lasts all day, while the purple is just kind of blah. I'd give this a 3.5 if I could.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish blush in Berry Shimmer
rated 5 of 5
Paramore 4/21/2010 4:41:00 PM

Changing my review because of an amazing revelation; this blush is my favourite of all time. I own dozens of blushes - high-end, drugstore, online indie companies, but this $3 wonder is the best there is. The pigmentation is outstanding; I turn a dark golden colour during the summertime, and this blush makes my cheekbones stand out, even against my tan. You only need to put a little on the brush to get a nice, healthy glow, so it'll last a very long time. I bought this three years ago, wear it every day during the summer and still have yet to hit pan. The cool undertones may scare some of you warm-toned ladies, but don't be fooled! This blush looks good on everyone.

Mascara -Clinique - Lash Doubling Mascara
rated 1 of 5
Paramore 1/31/2010 1:12:00 AM

I got this as a GWP, and I am not too happy about that. First off, it is absolutely terrible at holding curls, which is something even most drugstore mascaras can do. It smudges like crazy when used on the lower lashline, and overall using it is just a bad idea.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Waterproof Mascara
rated 4 of 5
Paramore 1/31/2010 1:09:00 AM

I actually really liked this. It's a pretty basic mascara, only about $3 CDN at Walmart, and I got it in a darkish brown shade. It is waterproof as hell, I've gone swimming with it before with no raccoon eyes afterwards, and it holds curls surprisingly well. Not good if you're going for a dramatic look, but for everyday use it's pretty good.

Eye Shadow -Lime Crime - Magic Dust
rated 2 of 5
Paramore 12/20/2009 4:08:00 PM

I bought Circus Girl, and let's just say it's not the most pigmented shadow in the world. Seriously, I've bought better eyeshadows from Cover Girl than this, and for one-fourth of the price, and around double the size. Next time I order something I'll be sure to read how much I'm getting very clearly because dude, I think this amount is actually smaller than the "samples" from Fyrinnae. And like others have said, the lid is not tight enough to keep all of the powder in. This is going straight in the trash.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
rated 2 of 5
Paramore 11/29/2009 5:00:00 PM

Not gonna lie, this isn't the greatest moisturizer in the world, especially if you have combination skin, like I do. I would put it on my face fresh after a shower, and within ten minutes my nose would be shiny like a disco ball and my cheeks and chin (normally very dry) would have a greasy sheen to it. Also, it makes my acne look more red and inflamed than usual which is not good. The one positive attribute to this moisturizer is that if I fudge up my liquid eyeliner I can dab some of this on a q-tip and wipe it off. Other than that, avoid this like the plague, your skin will thank you for it.

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice n' Easy -new formula
rated 2 of 5
Paramore 11/8/2009 1:15:00 PM

This was pretty terrible, to be completely honest. I used the colour 132 Burgundy, and before, my hair was a lightish brown (originally black), and since the colour on the box was darker than my hair, I figured, why not? So I dyed it, followed all the instructions, and my hair turned out black with red undertones. WHAT THE HECK, THIS IS NOT AT ALL WHAT I WANTED. Even after shampooing it multiple times, my hair still smells like the dye, which wouldn't be too bad if it weren't so pungent. Definitely will not buy again.

Eye Shadow -Fyrinnae - Bombshell Bath Loose Eye Shadow in Fire and Ice
rated 4 of 5
Paramore 7/5/2009 4:51:00 PM

This is a really interesting eyeshadow, with tons of multi-coloured glitter; in the jar it looks dark purpley, but when applied it's so much more. Works great as a liner, and the sparkles in it gives smokey eyes a nice twist. There's a lot of fall-out though, so I always have to dust loose powder vigorously under my eyes before applying.

Eye Shadow -Fyrinnae - Eye Shadow Powder in OMGWTF
rated 5 of 5
Paramore 7/5/2009 4:48:00 PM

On Fyrinnae's website, the swatches make it look more green than it actually is in real life, but it's still a fantastic colour. As usual with Fyrinnae, fantastic colour pay-off, blends well, etc, etc.

Eye Shadow -Inglot - Single Eyeshadow
rated 4 of 5
Paramore 7/5/2009 4:43:00 PM

Nicely priced for the amount of pigmentation in these shadows. All three of the shades that I own are as vibrant on my lids as they are in the pan, last a decent amount of time, and blend well. My only complaint is that no matter how carefully I apply them, I always have a little bit of fall-out, and the twist-off lids get kind of annoying after a while, especially when I'm in a rush. Overall, I'm a fan, and would definitely buy again.

Fragrances -Lolita Lempicka - Lolita Lempicka
rated 5 of 5
Paramore 7/5/2009 4:38:00 PM

Oh, how I love this product. I'd been reading reviews on it for a while, but was never brave enough to purchase it until I saw a bottle on sale for $20. I figured, "Why not?" so I bought it. It's one of my favourite perfumes- I usually wear it layered over Yves Rocher's Vanilla EDT, although it's perfectly fine on its own. It lasts all day, and I always get compliments on how good I smell.

Fragrances -Yves Rocher - vanilla bourbon edt
rated 5 of 5
Paramore 2/22/2009 5:15:00 PM

I really like this product. To me, the "bourbon" part doesn't stand out all that much, but I don't really mind. It lasts for ages, and whenever I wear it I always have people telling me how good I smell. I got this 3.4 oz bottle two months ago for like, $6.50 (at the half-off sale), and only a small fraction of it is used up.

Palettes -Unlisted Brand - The Color Workshop
rated 3 of 5
Paramore 1/15/2009 2:00:00 PM

I got a HUMONGOUS palette for around $10, and some of the shadows are surprisingly well-pigmented, blendable, last long with primer, etc. BUT (and this is a big but) the ones that are not feel like chalk, have no staying power whatsoever, and little pigmentation. In my experience, it's the neutrals/glitters (silver, white, brown, tan, etc.) that are the best quality of the lot. Personally I wouldn't buy it again if only half of the shadow are usable.
