Very nice peachey taupey shade with some sheen. VERY similar overall to MAC's All That Glitters IMO but not quite it's dupe. This is a tad warmer chapagne compared to ATG more pink shade. But you can't tell unless you look really close! Now that I just swatched on my hand, I will continue to buy Mink and not ATG because of its warmer bronzier shade. For reference I am C4/NC35-40 range.
I really like how the untinted version fared and thought this would be much better for my current needs. It's summer now and a little warmth plus spf is perfect! I only use a small amount and apply lightly and pat all over my face, especially my cheek area where I want to hide my pores. A tad exepensive at $30 but this will last a very long time since I only use half a pea size. I love the warmth and that this has SPF in it compared to the original. I'll continue to use even after the warmer months. Check out my review for the original version.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
Olive143 6/18/2012 4:28:00 PM
I adore this lip treatment. I also received mine like many here for my Beauty Insider b.day gift. Yes, it is expensive. Also it melts during warm weather stored in my purse so be careful when applying or it'll just break off. However, it's unlike any other lip balm I've tried. I guess that is why they label it as a 'lip treatment'. It gives me the perfect base before applying lipstick. My lips never peel or get dry as they always seem to when I use lipstick. I never use to like lipstick but I'm a convert since trying this. So for me this really works. When I exfoliate with a sugar scrub it gives me the same effect - all that dry gunk from my lips disapper. It's similar when I use this. I no longer have that unflattering dryness any longer...in a pretty little tube.
Treatments -Neutrogena - Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Serum

I have sensitive skin so I don't use too often. Maybe 3 times a week if that. When I do, what an improvement. I'm a chicken when it comes to putting things like this on my skin. After educating myself, retinol will improve your skin and help with aging. Anyway, my skin feels supple, plump, less dry and more youthful after using. I'm in my late thirties and feel this is one anti-aging product I will continue to use until I find something better. Plus, this doesn't seem to have any parabens on the ingredient list compared to RoC, but retinol seems to be lower on the list compared to RoC. I still prefer Neutrogena!
Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface
Olive143 2/15/2012 7:23:00 PM
I received this in a kit with another one of Tarte's product. I love everything about this blush: doesn't break me out, smooth application, cute packaging and it lasts all day. However, the color on my C4/NC40 skin is just too light for me. I feel like I need to pile it on for more color. But that's just my preference. It may work for others who have the same coloring as myself. I'm glad I was able to try it out though. I wouldn't mind trying the other colors they offer.
Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips Gel Creamliner - Brown Eyes
Olive143 2/15/2012 6:59:00 PM
How cute is the packaging for this cream eyeliner! For brown eyes there's a pot in brown, black and purple. So far I've only used black. I'm very impressed by how soft it shows and not a harsh dark black. I realize you have to unscrew the top as oppose to lifting it off. The brush is quite small and a bit awkward for me to use. The tip gets a little stiff after use so be careful when you dip it in the pot. I found I got too much on the tip. I typically use an angled brush for cream/gel eyeliner application so I just need to get use to applying it this way. Purchased at Target for about $6. Not too shabby for 3 pots of cream eyeliner!
Primer/ Corrector -Too Faced - Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer
Olive143 2/15/2012 5:51:00 PM
A super helpful SA at Sephora gave me a sample of this. The pores on my cheeks seem very visible even after putting my BE primer. So it was time to switch. The application of my blush lately has been patchy too. Needless to say not a good combo! I needed a good primer that minimizes pores. I love the results after applying this! Not only does my makeup stay on all day but no more pores!! You have to look very closely to see the tiniest amount. My blush is looking pretty nice too! The ingredient list justifies the $30 IMO (Retinol, Vitamin A,C,E). Me happy.
I never thought I would ever have to use a bronzer but I got this in a kit with Tarte's Dollface 12 hr AC blush. Why not give it a try? I've been using this every day since! It's winter and want a bit of warmth to my C4/NC40 coloring. Very natural.
I did some research for best box color for dark hair and for covering greys. I must agree with the positive reviews here! Don't let the price fool you because although it's under $4, the quality of the product is very good. The results were that it covered ALL greys, removed all the unwanted highlights and a very natural black shade. Only in the light can I see a touch of brown on me. After styling, I kept looking for greys or maybe color I missed and found none!
Has got to be my HG eyeshadow right now. For a daily, neutral, no fuss eyeshadow wash. Love the warm, goldy, peach shade plus brightens this brown eyed girl instantly. Love it! I find that applying it over Rubenesque paint pot that it stays on all day.
Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Brightening Prime Time
Olive143 1/4/2012 8:05:00 PM
Please, don't bother with this if you are comparing it to the original Prime Time. Also, this has no illuminating or brightening effect. The nozzle clogs up and the product is no longer liquid during colder seasons. I have to cup my hand for the product to not splash all over the place. I prefer the original. But I don't mind using this up until it's done. The product in itself is fine for oil control.
Lotions/ Creams -Cetaphil - Restoraderm skin restoring moisturizer
Olive143 1/4/2012 6:38:00 PM
This has to be the best hand/body lotion I've ever used. During winter I get a bit of eczema patches between my fingers. This relieves it like no other. My son's pediatrician gave me samples due to his constant itching and dry skin from swimming and summer heat. Works like a dream for us. It comes in a somewhat smaller bottle compared to what I'm used to which is a bit of a bummer. Some of the brands I've tried: Vaseline Intensive, Equate, St. Ives, Lubriderm, Aveeno, Gold Bond, Eucerin, Suave, Palmers. Many of the drug store brands.
I love the results of this product! I use as a heat protector and to smooth out my coarse asian hair. My hair almost touches my waist and half penny size is all I've been using. I concentrate mostly towards the end and tips of my hair. The fragrance fades as soon as I finish styling. Ulta has the trial size that come in a set with the Iron Guard. I've repurchased 4-5 times already and know I love this stuff. I finally bought the full size!
It's a pretty decent water proof mascara. It definitely lifts my lashes but it doesn't give it too much volume. It's very natural, jusk ok mascara. Does not flake which is a plus for me.
I use this every day after I apply my concealer. I use on my under eye circles. It erases all the darkness around that area. It's a pinky shade and works well with my C4 skin color. I apply lightly, blend and set with powder. My makeup would not be complete without this handy pencil.
