Blush -MAC - So Sweet, So Easy
NikkiDagger 8/12/2011 12:35:00 AM
I don't hate So Sweet, So Easy. It just doesn't suit my C5/NC42 coloring AT ALL. The only reason why I'm writing this review is to caution warm toned people AND people who are darker than maybe NC35 to steer clear. I gave it 4 lippies because that seems to be the average & I didn't want to ruin it's rating.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Marine Ultra Pigment
NikkiDagger 7/25/2011 4:05:00 PM
Not the easiest in the world to blend and you have to use a tacky/sticky base (unless you use a mixing medium), but the color is so gorgeous that it's well worth it. I don't find it chunky at all and I like that you can quickly get an amazing bright blue wash or build up the intensity, if you so wish. I would highly recommend this to my fellow brown eyed girls, as well. I'll definitely re-purchase.

Lipstick -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick
NikkiDagger 7/19/2011 12:29:00 AM
I have a mini Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick in Athens and LOVE it. The color looks beautiful against my warm/neutral C5/NC42 skin, the taste is pleasant (exact same taste as a MAC Plushglass) and the product itself plumps my top lip just the right amount. If you have thin lips and are looking for something that will make a significant difference, keep looking. But, if you have decent sized lips and want them to look a bit plumper or have a more full look, then this is for you. Athens seems MATTE (maybe SATIN), btw. I have no idea if all Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Sticks have the same finish/texture, though. I got mine in the "Travel In Style" set with a mini Monica Lip Polish & whenever I want a glossy finish I put Monica over Athens. They go perfectly together!

Lipstick -MAC - Style Warriors- Brave New Bronze [DISCONTINUED]
NikkiDagger 6/30/2011 1:29:00 PM
I'm C5/NC42 & this is my new HG nude. Freckletone previously held that spot, but I must admit that I had an issue with its Lustre finish. Because, it wasn't quite opaque enough & the slight glossiness kept it from looking exactly the way that I wanted it to. I MUCH prefer Brave New Bronze's Satin finish. It blends in beautifully with my skin tone, without looking like I have concealer on my lips. I have CHERISH (which is permanent) and it's a VERY CLOSE DUPE. So, if you're desperate for BNB, I'd recommend getting Cherish.

Lip Gloss -Guerlain - Divinora-DUO GLOSS Gorgeous Diamond 502
NikkiDagger 6/19/2011 3:43:00 AM
This is gorgeous, just like the name says! I wish that is was less expensive, but it's so smooth and pigmented that I'd say that it's worth the price. I also wish that is wan't LE. If they ever re-promote, I will definitely repurchase. Whenever I wear this I put the fuchsia shade all over and the light goldeny shade in the center of my lips. I am MAC C5/NC42 for reference and I always get complimented when I have this on (^.^)

Lipstick -MAC - Victorian
NikkiDagger 5/16/2011 2:24:00 PM
I LOVE Victorian. Which was honestly a complete surprise to me. I always think that pinks look good on other people, but never thought that I could personally pull off a pink lip. Victorian is a light true pink with a yellowy-golden sheen. I do not own, nor have I ever seen a single lippie anywhere close in color. I think that the yellow/gold in it warms it up just enough to be really flattering against my C5/NC42 coloring. But I'm very confident that cooler, fairer complexions can easily pull this off, too. FYI, whenever I want to gloss it up, I use Virgin Kiss Lipglass on top. I'm definitely going to snag another one if MAC ever re-promotes it!

Eyeliner -MAC - Eye Pencil in Fab Orchid
NikkiDagger 3/20/2011 11:15:00 PM
Fab Orchid is a super pigmented, inky purple that glides on beautifully. I just wish that MAC made the same color in a Powerpoint or Pearlglide. Because, I have oily lids and this transfers when I use it on my top lash-line, unless I use a sealer. And, of coarse it's rubbish on the waterline. Which is why I took off 1 lippie. The only way that this would have ANY staying power whatsoever on the waterline, is if you set it with an eyeshadow. But, you would have to have a shadow that was the exact same color. It makes an AMAZING BASE base for purple shadows or any shadow with purple in it, though. So I'd definitely consider repurchasing.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Loud & Lovely
NikkiDagger 3/15/2011 5:57:00 PM
Loud & Lovely is a beautiful shade of pink against my C5/NC42 skin. I love it. BUT... colorwise, it's almost an exact dupe for Pink Poodle Lipglass. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. It's a good thing, because when I run out of Loud & Lovely, I don't have to spend $18.50 again. All I have to do is go and spend $14.50 on Pink Poodle. It's a bad thing, because I had to pay an extra $4 to find that out. LOL! Loud & Lovely isn't sticky at all and Pink Poodle is only slightly sticky, so it's pretty much 6 of one and half a dozen of the other, IMHO.

All I have to say is, Perversion is long wearing and the blackest black ever, so I am in LOVE!

Eye Shadow -Sugarpill - Poison Plum Pressed Eyeshadow
NikkiDagger 3/4/2011 11:33:00 AM
My Poison Plum is not at all dry. So, I can only assume that those who complain of its dryness got their's from a bad batch. I purchased mine in mid-2010 and as far as I can tell, the "dry" ones came from late 2010-early 2011. I really REALLY love mine. As much as I Iike MUFE #92, I think that Poison Plum suits my warm/neutral MAC C5/NC42 coloring a bit better. I have and will continue to suggest this to purple lovers, especially those with warm/neutral skin tones and I'll definitely repurchase when mine finally runs out. Also, I have to mention that the service was excellent and shipping was relatively quick.

Lipstick -MAC - Impassioned (Amplified)
NikkiDagger 2/26/2011 12:33:00 AM
I LOVE Impassioned. I wanted it after seeing Nic from Pixiwoo use it. Although it's on trend for Spring/Summer 2011, it's not just a trendy color. Because, bright lippies are in every Spring & Summer. I'm C5/NC42, so I wasn't 100% sure that it would look good on me. I wished for it anyway, though. If it was super opaque and as bright on as it looks in the tube, I don't think that it would be very flattering on me. BUT, the Amplified finish gives it the perfect opacity to look amazing (IMHO). I have never had a lippie that comes close to this color, so I can't think of any dupes and will definitely be repurchasing when I run out.

Lipstick -MAC - So Scarlet
NikkiDagger 2/8/2011 7:55:00 PM
(C5/NC42 for reference) I've been on a red kick lately. So I've tried this, Ruby Woo, Dubonnet, Red Hot (which looks like a SATIN Russian Red), Brave Red, M•A•C Red, Lady Bug & Russian Red. Guess which one is my favorite. LOL! I am so in love with So Scarlet. It looks the way I expected Dubonnet to. Ruby Woo is my HG pin-up red, but I think that So Scarlet may be my HG red PERIOD. Although, I have to mention that it's not a TRUE red. It's more of a berry red. All of the pics that I've seen online just don't do it justice. This is definitely a lippie that you HAVE to see in person to really appreciate how gorgeous it is. FYI, in the tube it's looks darker & brownish. I received mine in a swap. So when I opened it, I thought to myself, "Why did I want this?" But when I tried it on, I fell in LOVE! I actually didn't even know that it's LE until today. Which makes me sad, because I would definitely repurchase. I really hope that it gets re-promoted before mine runs out.

Lipstick -MAC - Retro Matte - Ruby Woo
NikkiDagger 2/6/2011 5:26:00 PM
I think that I've finally found my HG pin-up red lippie! I thought that Dubonnet was close, but seeing Ruby Woo next to it, I realize that it's just not. IMHO Ruby Woo seems like Russian Red for warm/neutral skin tones. Compared with Russian Red, my experience with Ruby Woo is the opposite of other's experiences, because Russian Red looks a bit more cool against my C5/NC42 coloring. I honestly didn't think that I would like Ruby Woo very much. But as I said, I really feel like this may be my HG pin-up red! It pairs perfectly with MAC's Cherry Lip Pencil and I'm so glad that it's not LE, because I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lipglass in Russian Red
NikkiDagger 2/5/2011 9:48:00 PM
I really like this & I kind of didn't expect to. For some reason it's more flattering against my C5/NC42 coloring than the lipstick. Plus it's more opaque & less sticky than most lipglasses, which was another pleasant surprise. It works well alone or on top of RR and other red toned lippies, so I will definitely repurchase.

Lipstick -MAC - Cream Lipstick in Dubonnet
NikkiDagger 1/3/2011 12:44:00 PM
After trying Russian Red & feeling a bit... underwhelmed, I turned my attention to Dubonnet. I'd been lemming it for weeks & when I finally got my hands on it, I didn't waste any time in putting it on. It's actually slightly darker than I'd expected, but gorgeous none the less. I wouldn't say that Dubonnet is my HG red, which I have yet to find, but it's certainly the closest I've come to date. I am C5/NC42 for reference and I'm pretty sure that warm/neutral toned people NC30 & up would look AMAZING wearing Dubonnet.
