Moisturizers -Clinique - Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moisturizer
Nanna1972 7/1/2007 9:34:00 AM
The cream is great for my skin - Iīm usually allergic to avobenzone, but in this formular I works without any irritations at all. You canīt feel itīs a sunscreen and itīs lightweight enough for my skintype. A big minus is the packaging, though. Therefore I didnīt give it 5. Why donīt they make this in a tube? Itīs watery enough to work fine in a tube, and itīs very unhygenic in a jar. Plus itīs a see-through-jar which isnīt the best to protect the effectiveness of the antioxidant and the sunscreen. So far I havenīt found a better daytimesunscreen though, so Iīll probarbly stick with this one. I have the combination/oily version, but I might get the combination/dry version for wintertime.
This is my HG cleanser. It does take make-up off and it is not too drying. Am now on my 7īth bottle and havenīt yet found something better. Could be a bit more moisturizing though.
Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella- Eau de Parfum

I just love it! I has grown on me since I started wearing it, and now I prefer this to Stellas summerfragrance (which I initially bought a year ago). It makes me feel both like a girl and a woman. And my bf also just loves it!
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Star Secret Aishwarya Beige
Nanna1972 4/30/2007 3:47:00 PM
Finally they launch the color riche star with the Aishwarya beige in nothern Europe - I was really looking forward, because of all the raves here at the board. I have Penelope red (was in the european starting launch), and just loves it. But I was really dissapointed about this one. On my lips (Iīm olive, medium brown skin, brown eyes and fairly pigmented lips) it is just a plain, rather boring, kind of light brown (or should I say muddy?) lip conditioner. It doesnīt show up very well, so why bother? Itīs not at all beige looking on my lips (as it is on the photos of Aish), so I was rather dissapointed.
Great product so far! I bought the Dry/Combination formular and is quite happy with it. It does provide my face with just enough hydration, when my skin is not overly dry (as it can be during winter time). Love the tube! At last Clinique has a tube with a great cream. The tube packaging makes sure that the great anti-oxidants stays effective. A bit pricey, but not that much more than other Clinique products (like e.g. Moisture on-line). Am definitly going to buy again and for winter Iīll be the formular for dry to very dry skin. The dry to very dry formular contains petrolatum, so it should take good care of winter dehydrated skin.
As far as I can see, this new product doesnīt hold a candle to the former Day spf 15 light moisture. One reviewer stated, that there was zink oxide in this formular to protect against the sun. That is not so. It does contain zink oxide, but there is not much in it (it is stated as one of the last ingredients on the list) and therefore there is not physical sunfilter of importance in this formular. Also, the active sunprotection ingredient is, as far as I know, not the best and doesnīt protect both against A and B rays of the sun. And it is only chemical. Yes, the texture is fine, yes, the bottle is great but the formular is not at all good for protecting against the sun (and by that, wrinkles, sundamage and cancer) and therefore, in my opinion, really useless.
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color riche star secrets - Penelope red 710
Nanna1972 12/31/2006 6:53:00 AM
Iīve been looking for ages for a true red color, that suits me - and now Iīve found it! Penélope Cruz is the star that endorse this LE color riche lipstick for LīOreal. The color itself is a true red with a warm, kind of orange undertone to it - though the orange is just a hint, like red colors with blue undertones. It truly is a true red, which looks absolutely fab on me. And my teeth doesnīt look yellow with this color, as it sometimes does when Iīm wearing red. Iīm like Penélope a brunette with brown eyes. I think my complexion is a bit more dark and olive than hers. The texture is really nice and creamy, but donīt expect the color to last for ever. Since this color is rather pigmented it does keep some of its color for quite a while, though. Itīs a must for me now, and Iīm wearing it for parties and when I want a simple eyemakeuplook but still want to look sophisticated. How sad itīs a limited edition!
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Star Secrets - 714 Blush Scarlett
Nanna1972 12/31/2006 5:57:00 AM
Iīm a brunette with olive skin and fairly pigmented lips - not at all like Scarlett, but this color really looks nice on me anyways. On my lips I get a skincolored/slightly pink color with fine (not to much) silver shimmer in it, that doesnīt look unnatural, and can be worn during daytime. The color looks very natural and downplayed (in a good way) on me. I dont like the lipstickcontainer. It actually broke the first time, so I had to replace it. It also look a little cheap and has Scarletts signature written on it. I wouldnīt buy again, though, but thatīs because it will probarbly take me for ages to use this up. I donīt wear lipstick on a regular basis. All in all a nice, downplayed color that suits many skincolors.
After all the raves, both in here and from friends, I decided to give it a try. Bought Shadowy Lady and Charcoal Brown. Both a total matte shades, since Iīve been looking for nice colours with no shine. Anyways, the colours are beautiful, but the application is just not very good. It tends to clump very easily. It seems like Iīve found the trick, that will do it: I simply just "pad" the eyecolour on with a eyeshadowbrush instead of "painting" as you usually do. It kind of removes the clumpiness, but still Iīm not really satisfied. Maybe the frosted colours do apply easier and without clumps? Also, the shades doesīnt last all day. And for that amount of money (though not really expensive) I think they should at least hold op for more than 5 hours. Iīm not going to rebuy any of the matte shades again, and Iīm kind of dissapinted, because MAC does offer really nice colours.
Fragrances -Oscar de la Renta - oscar de la renta intrusion
Nanna1972 10/17/2006 2:35:00 AM
"This fragrance isn't for everyone, but for those who enjoy a fresh floral scent with a hint of mysterious musk, it's perfect!" - written by another reviewer, and itīs just so true. I bought a huge bottle on sale for a girlfriends B-day, and didnīt really think it was more than an ok fragrance. But somehow it grew on me (and her), and now we both adore it! I ran down and got myself a huge bottle of Intrusion, and since then it has been my HG during summertime. Itīs too light for winter, I would say, but for a summernight party this is just right. And now we got all our other friends to wear the scent, too - and they love it as much as we do!
Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella Sheer Eau De Toilette
Nanna1972 7/4/2005 5:35:00 AM
I did not like the original Stella, but somehow I like the sheer version. It is romantic, light and smells fresh in a very "sweet" way. Itīs great for warmer weather, where you would like something sweet and romantic yet not cloying or offensive. I will not buy again though, because the bottle is huge (100 ml), and usually I get tired of fragrances half way through an ordinary 50 ml. But I definitly like the scent, and it will be my new daytime favourite for now.
I really like this scent! I think itīs a foody smell, but not cloying like some foody fragrances can be. The fruit in it makes it more fresh, and definitly suitable for warmer weather. I was out to find me a summerfragrance, which still has the vanilla and musc, which I love so much on my skin. Carolina seems to do the summer job both in a pretty and wearable way. The container is not my favorite, though. It doensīt come with a cap, which I tend to prefer. Also, I think it looks a bit old-ladish, which suddenly not is the way it smells IMHO. Could have more lasting power; seems to kind of disappear in only 4-5 hours on me. But all in all I really like this fragrance.
Moisturizers -Avene - skin recovery cream (US name: cream for intolerant skin)
Nanna1972 4/20/2005 1:16:00 PM
As some other reviewer said, itīs not as rich as I had expected...which is good in my book. I have dry ski, but not overly dry, so this one fits my skin perfecly. I also like the fact, that most of the ingredients is "safe" to use. The only backdraw is the lack of antioxidants, as one other reviewer also noticed. So I pretty much switch too. But itīs definitly a cream, that I would buy again.
Great scent! Was out to find me a nice, summery scent, and tried this on. At first I wasnīt totally crazy about it, but as it developed, it just got very nice and clean smelling. As some other reviewer said, it smells a bit like a granny perfume (but in the very good way). It reminds me of the 40īs, and how I visualize the every day woman must have smelled back then....the good looking ones, that is ;-) EDIT: never used it very much - itīs not a light perfume, which I thought it was in the beginning. Boring and not very clean smelling on me. Sadly.
Cleansers -Yves Rocher - Pure Calmille Cleansing Gel
Nanna1972 4/10/2005 7:25:00 AM
Great cleanser! Takes good care of cleansing makeup and also eyemakeup without the use of an additional eyemakeup remover. Highly recommended! And it cheap too....couldnīt be better!
