Ditto all prior comments on acquisition, feel and scent. It's an amazing product with an astounding price tag. I say that I would but again but only if on sale. Sad to have finished it already.

Eyeliner -Tarte - EmphasEYES Aqua-Gel Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
MissBrittanyM 2/1/2013 9:52:00 PM

This is an EXACT duplicate of Avon's LiquiGlide eyeliner ( or that is a dupe of this). The big difference is the price, since you can buy half a dozen from Avon for the price of 1 from Tarte. Anyhow, this is essentially a gel eyeliner in pencil form... very soft and very wet. It does take a bit of learning to use but the color pay off is incredible. Very little product in the tube so go for Avon's.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
rated 4 of 5
MissBrittanyM 2/1/2013 9:43:00 PM

I got a deluxe sample of this from Sephora as a 100 point perk. It does seem to make a difference in the wear of my makeup and feels very refreshing. I would compare it to MUFE's setting spray and might buy it some day if found on sale.

Moisturizers -Trader Joe's - Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion
rated 5 of 5
MissBrittanyM 1/21/2013 10:12:00 PM

Oh my WOW! I am so in love with this moisturizer. I have combination, sensitive skin that is not prone to acne. I picked this up on a whim and have been using it for several weeks. My skin looks and feels great and is not at all greasy. This is a thick lotion or cream consistency that absorbs quickly. It contains broad spectrum sun protection and cost only 4 dollars. I definitely plan to repurchase.

Candles -Unlisted Brand - Scentsy Zepplin Wax Bar
rated 3 of 5
MissBrittanyM 1/21/2013 10:02:00 PM

Scentsy is a flameless/wickless candle system made of wax bars melted in electric warmers. Bars are 3.2 ounces of wax for $5 each (discounted in larger lots), that can be broken into 8 chunks of wax. Each chunk is supposed to last 8-10 hours. For the price per ounce, this system is cheaper than buying traditional candles from lines like Yankee Candle. Zepplin is described as "a complex combination of vetiver, citrus, sandalwood and sage". The scent when warmed is not citrus at all but very musky and incredibly light. It is indeed a masculine scent but not pleasant one when you are able to smell it.

Gels/Soaps -Trader Joe's - Tea Tree Oil Soap
rated 4 of 5
MissBrittanyM 1/10/2013 10:43:00 PM

I am very happy with this soap. 2 dollars for two 4 ounce bars. The fence is mild for tea tree oil and it lathers nicely. I have only used on my body and do not find it to be drying or irritating. I much prefer it to the oatmeal soap and would definitely buy it again.

Gels/Soaps -Trader Joe's - Oatmeal and Honey Soap
rated 3 of 5
MissBrittanyM 1/1/2013 8:08:00 AM

I saw YT review for this and assumed it was a creamy oatmeal and honey scent. I should have checked reviews first because it has a spicy bite to it that I really cannot stand... not just cinnamon. Lathers well and is very inexpensive but the scent has me giving away the second bar and I wouldn't repurchase.

Concealers -NYX - HD Photogenic Concealer Wand
rated 5 of 5
MissBrittanyM 11/20/2012 4:54:00 PM

Wow, wow, WOW! I am blown away by this little gem. $5.49 at Ulta and probably the single best concealer I have tried in the last 10 years. I thought I wanted a pot concealer from NYX, and when a new Ulta opened, I went looking for one. Luckily for me, they only had the HD in stock so I picked one up. I'm about NW15 in MAC and wear Revlon Buff daily and chose shade CW2 (which I believe is labeled "fair"). This is the second lightest shade in the lineup and a good 2-3 shades lighter than my skin, which is perfect since I got this for under my eyes. It's light but creamy, goes on smoothly and STAYS PUT for up to 10 hours (maybe more, but I've never really checked after 10 hours). I've had no milia, flaking, fading, etc with this product and wear it daily. The price is absolutely perfect, and considering all the deals and coupons Ulta runs, it can easily be had for less than $5. I am definitely repurchasing this bad boy.

Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Oil-free eye makeup remover liquid
rated 1 of 5
MissBrittanyM 11/20/2012 4:38:00 PM

I have to say, I got this nearly free at CVS because of sales and coupons, at a time when I was low on makeup remover. I hadn't researched it but figured with the steep discount, I'd try it. Wish I had my reciept because this is as useless as the Simple eye makeup remover... as about effective as water. This product doesn't remove even non-waterproof, non-longwearing, non-heavy/dark eye makeup. Rather, it smears it around and requires about 3 saturated cotton pads to remove roughly half of my light, regular eyemakeup. It doesn't even remove Almay mascara! Needless to say, I will not be repurchasing.

Mascara -Almay - Get Up and Grow
rated 1 of 5
MissBrittanyM 11/20/2012 4:34:00 PM

Well, that's what I get for buying a mascara based on a YT review and NOT on MUA reviews. Sigh. This mascara is yet another in a long line of disappointments. Barely noticeable with 3 coats, doesn't hold curl at all, and flaked and smudged all around my eyes each time I wore it. I can't tell you if it helped with "growth" (though I highly doubt it could), since I got rid of it after a week... which I think is a record, because I usually try to make mascaras work for me. Very unhappy with this product and would not buy again under any circumstances.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Bronzer Brush
rated 5 of 5
MissBrittanyM 11/2/2012 4:11:00 PM

This brush is truly incredible. Hands down favorite powder brush ever purchased! $13ish at Ulta. Super soft, dense, perfect for applying pressed powder all over. And it stands on its own, which is great since the handle is too thick to be added to my brush holder. Would love to have a few backups of this brush.

Powder -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Transparent 001
rated 5 of 5
MissBrittanyM 11/2/2012 4:09:00 PM

I picked this up after rave reviews from a YTer I follow and I'm SO impressed! $7 and it works great... mattifies and keeps my oily skin matte for atleast 8 hours. Never cakey or oxidized. My only complaint is the packaging, but as for the product itself, 5 stars.

Cleansers -Simple - Kind to Skin Refreshing Wash Gel
rated 2 of 5
MissBrittanyM 11/2/2012 4:05:00 PM

I didn't like the Simple brand facial cloths or the eyemakeup remover, so why I had higher expectations for this cleanser is beyond me. It's virtually fragrance-free, which is nice, but it doesn't remove my makeup well and kind of just slides around on my face instead of feeling like it's getting into my pores and truly cleansing my skin. I've actually noticed some acne since using it, because of its lack of cleansing power for a makeup-wearer. Would not repurchase.

Eyeliner -Jordana - Fabu Liner Liquid Eyeliner Pen
rated 4 of 5
MissBrittanyM 11/2/2012 3:57:00 PM

I am usually a pencil person and haven't used a liquid liner in so long that I'd never guess when or what the last one was... so I can't compare this to much. But the black is inky black, it wears well, and it's pretty easy to use. Super cheap, too! I like it well enough to buy it again.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
rated 2 of 5
MissBrittanyM 10/1/2012 3:55:00 PM

I have read about this mascara for years on MUA and finally decided to give it a go. UNimpressed. I had tried the "Full Definition" version previously and was disappointed in that as well, but forgot that experience before buying this. The brush is okay, and I like the packaging well enough, but the mascara clumps on the brush and my lashes more than most others I have tried (and I've tried 40 in the last 4 years). I'm constantly cleaning gobs off the brush and combing clumps out of my lashes, and I do get flakes by the end of the day. For a cheap volumizing mascara, I MUCH prefer Jordana, Avon SuperShock or Maybelline Volum' Express.
