Concealers -Yves Saint Laurent - Anti-Cernes Multi Action Concealer #1
Marils 3/31/2005 9:41:00 AM
Love this concealer. Use the colour 2 one and its great for my skin tone. It's a really creamy, easy to blend, concealer thats great to cover blemishes, spots and under eye cricles/bags. Whilst is doesn't completely cover my massive black circles it does a pretty good job. The packaging is fabulous. It doubles as a mirror when I take it out. The only minus is, that when dumped with everything else in my bag, the gold packaging scrapes off a bit and when in contact with skin, the glitter type speck is difficult to pick off. But it's a great product. I have and will continue to repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Praline Glossimer
Marils 10/15/2004 2:38:00 AM
FANTASTIC lip gloss. It is the ultimate YLBB/MLBB shade. The colour is just perfect for natural looking lips - rose/pink-brown colour. It's easy to apply, isn't sticky and lasts well. Fabulous!!

Styling Products -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - C-System- C-Curl- Curl Enhancing Cream
Marils 10/15/2004 2:28:00 AM
LOVE this!!! Actually enhances my curls really really well. Creates loads of natural curls. The curls look like the effects of a swim at the beach. Doesn't make hair shiny. However, if too much product is used then you will get stiff hair. Best results are achieved when the product is used immediately after the hair has been washed. The twist pump bottle makes is extremely easy and non messy to use - you can twist the top of the bottle 'off' so there won't be any leakages etc. I think I prefer this to Sebastian Potion 9. This is a must-have HG for me now!! Although lots of bugs seem to be attracted to the product when you have it on your hair.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream
Marils 8/28/2004 12:36:00 PM
Don't like this on my face at all. It is too thick, heavy and leaves the skin quite greasy. Being unfragranced I find that it has a really strange unpleasant kind of smell. For me, the smell and texture reminds me of PVC glue. Would only ever contemplate wearing this at night if my skin was severely dry/dehydrated. However, I highly doubt I'd ever use it again on my face. I will just use the rest of this as a body moisturiser, as my skin is quite dry.

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in Antibes
Marils 8/28/2004 12:16:00 PM
Antibes is a shimmery pink/berry/lavender shade. Texture is less creamier than my other multiple and hence doesn't glide on as smoothly. I've only tried this on my cheeks. A little bit of this product = a natural looking yet shimmery flush, however just the slightest bit more of it makes it a bit freaky whore-ish on my skintone. Staying power isn't too fab and the shimmer part seems to stay on longer than the colour. Very portable for touchups.

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in Maui
Marils 8/28/2004 12:03:00 PM
Multiples are great. For me Maui is a very natural pinky-coral tone. Creamy texture leaves skin with a natural flush. Extremely easy to apply and blend in. Staying power is pretty good but not fantastic, howeber it's easy enough to carry around for reapplication. Possible repurchase but I don't think it will EVER run out. Will definitely try other Multiples.

Blush -Stila - Color Push Up in Rose Flash
Marils 7/30/2004 6:03:00 AM
A creamy, warm pink blush (I only use it on my cheeks). It gives the cheeks a natural glow whilst being extremely easy to use. Again, as I find with other cream blushes the staying power isn't too great. I don't think I'd ever run out of this but I wouldn't it repurchase anyway (I want something that lasts).

Styling Products -Sebastian - Potion 9
Marils 7/30/2004 5:53:00 AM
I LOVE this stuff!! My first ever HG I think. I put it through my hair after I've washed it and it defines curls fabulously!! Whilst it doesn't eliminate frizz completely, it does take a lot of it out and make my usually crazy bushy hair nice and wavy. It is a bit freaky coming out of the (rather bad) tube orange and sticky but once it's in the hair it doesn't weigh it down, make it stiff or sticky and it doesn't give that bad wet gel look either. The packaging could do with an update but this stuff is magic! Definite repurchase!!

Liquid -Revlon - Skinlights Diffusing Tint [DISCONTINUED]
Marils 7/30/2004 5:42:00 AM
Light foundation that gives light-medium coverage. I didn't find that this gave a glow like how the other Skinlights products do. I use a sponge to apply this and it smooths on quite well on top of my moisturiser. I have combo skin and don't like how this goes a bit oily/greasy during the day (not as bad as the Skinlight Lotions but still slightly greasy). Would not repurchase.

Loose Powders -Revlon - Skinlights Face Illuminator [DISCONTINUED]
Marils 7/30/2004 5:30:00 AM
I have this loose powder in 01 Natural Light. It is extremely sparkly so must always try not to get too much on the brush otherwise I'll have a shimmy disco ball for a face. Probably best for night use or summer. It's nice but I don't really use it too much because I hate the packaging it comes in. It is extremely messy to deal with and somehow all the powder seems to get everywhere. I don't think I would repurchase.

Highlighters -Revlon - Skinlights Face Illuminator Lotion [DISCONTINUED]
Marils 7/30/2004 5:21:00 AM
Have this in Pink Light, Peach Light and Golden Light. The Pink and Peach give a nice dewy glow to my skin. Whilst the Golden Light is just way to dark for it so ocassionally I use that on my legs (which is usually a disaster as the sparkle/glittery shimmer goes everywhere). SPF is good and I don't mind the pump bottle just that sometimes it seems stiff to pump out. Extremely sparkly/shimmery which I quite like and I don't mind the strange scent. Can get very greasy/oily during the day so I think I might try mixing it with my moisturiser.

Lipstick -Nivea - lip care pearl and shine
Marils 7/30/2004 5:06:00 AM
Hate this. It's awful. I don't really like the smell and the texture of it as well as the colour. The extremely frosty pink makes me look like a corpse. The tube isn't too fab either, the lid/case of it comes off very easily. Just ewwy!

Tinted Moisturizer -Ponds - Tinted Moisturizer
Marils 7/30/2004 4:24:00 AM
Have this in Beige and I guess it is a good colour match considering they only have 2 or so shades. It's cheap, blends well, contains SPF and a little bit goes a long way. Howver, would never repurchase as it's quite thick, gluggy, oily and greasy on my combo skin.

Lips -Prada - Shielding Balm SPF15/Lip/Tint 6
Marils 7/30/2004 4:19:00 AM
Same consistency etc as the other lip tints. Waxy and moisturising with the same weird scent. However I did not care for this red/brown colour at all. The colour isn't sheer like #6 but really shows up reddish brown when applied.

Lip Treatments -Prada - Shielding Balm Spf 15/Lip/Tint 7
Marils 7/30/2004 4:13:00 AM
This is a nice pale pink waxy lip balm. The colour is nice and makes my lips look very natural. Sheer and quite moisturising. It is good lip balm for summer as it has SPF. The smell/scent isn't very pleasant but I got used to it. The little tubes are cute but not very long lasting. One week or so and you've finished one already. Also very hard to actually find the darn thing in my massive bag.
