I wanted so badly to love this and I did at first. However, it makes me break out on my face and neck. Perhaps I can use it on my body, but not my face area. So sad.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes - waterproof

I am beyond pleased with this product. It's a throwback to the old Voluminous mascara of the early 90's. It holds a curl in my lashes, which must be curled now because I'm getting older. It adds build-able volume. It doesn't make my lashes crunchy, and it's not hard to remove. I've had mascaras which weren't waterproof that wouldn't budge, even with baby oil. And no flakes!!! Love it! Had $30 mascaras that didn't perform this well. Will definitely purchase again and again.

Mascara -Too Faced - LashGasm

I'm shocked by the bad reviews. This is a one-coat wonder for me. I got a sample size at Sephora for whatever reason and didn't use it for a long time. Love it!!! My lashes are long but don't show up without mascara. This is lush and doesn't flake at all. I will likely purchase in the future. Edited to say: It looks great when first applied. It does not flake. It does not hold a curl beyond the first few minutes. I like Million lashes better. Won't purchase a full size.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer

I'm sadly disappointed with this concealer. It's thick. I'm approaching 40 and while it covers, it draws attention to imperfections. It's not worth the money. I can get something that works better in many places. It was my first Bobbi purchase.

Palettes -Unlisted Brand - Z Palette-Large

I'm just not crazy about this. I thought I would be and wanted to love it. The top got shattered somehow, though I won't blame z palette for that. I realize that one must be careful with it. I just don't like that I can't keep it clean. I'm happier keeping my products in their original packaging. If I purchased pro products from Mac or another company, I'd likely use their pro palettes. I'm not likely to do that as I prefer to keep the items separate so that I can keep them neat and tidy. Otherwise...makeup everywhere!

Foundations -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15

I love this foundation. I prefer to apply lightly with the Tarte brush which comes with the set at QVC. The coverage is remarkable and it doesn't look like I have on a mask as long as I apply lightly with the brush. It is also a good value compared to many other brands. LOOOOOVE it!

Bronzers -Laura Geller - Baked Body Frosting - Honey Glow

This must be a love or hate product. I absolutely hated it. I tried using it a couple of times in different ways (to highlight my face and used it on body as well). If someone likes to use a shiny bronzer on their face, they might like this. I prefer a matte bronzer on my face. For use on the body, it's hard to apply evenly if you use moisturizer at all. Once it's on, it absolutely WILL transfer to clothing. I couldn't picture hugging anyone without this stuff getting everywhere. The one time I did use it on my decolette for an evening out, my husband told me my skin looked really dry. As he never makes remarks like that so it was obvious what was different about my routine. I'm late thirties, with pretty good, albeit fair skin, and this made me look like I was a dried up piece of leather. Sorry, Laura. I like your products, but not this one. Going back to the store. Edited from 1 lippy to 5! I don't know what I was thinking about this bronzer. It looks better on my face than any other I have. I still think it looks ridiculous on my body as I have very fair skin, but used correctly on my face...I look fresh-faced and younger. Best part? I got it for free in a Beauty.com GWP last year after I returned one to ulta that I had paid for. Didn't plan that, but, score! Maybe it was because it was free that I gave it another chance. I will likely not run out for a couple years because it's huge. That's the only thing I don't like...the box is crazy big.

Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Natural Eye Palette

I really like this little box of pretties. I have brown eyes and I can wear every color in the box. The middle three colors are my favorites. And the matte brown. Highly pigmented and application is easy. The mattes are a bit harder to work with, but all mattes are harder to work with.

Mascara -Fresh - Supernova

I am currently in love with this mascara. It is not perfect, but have yet to find one that is. If I could give it a 4.5 I would. My only complaint is that it straightens my lashes a bit. I must compensate by curling them for an extra second or two. This mascara goes on beautifully, does not flake, and lasts a long time. It is everything I thought YSL would be but just isn't. Sometimes I like to use the brush straight from the container. Sometimes I wipe off the excess before application. Either way, I like the way it goes on and wears throughout the day. In addition, this mascara is very conditioning. That has been an unexpected benefit. I will purchase this again. I'm so over the drugstore mascaras that flake within 10 minutes of application.

Primer/ Corrector -Mally Beauty - Poreless Face Defender

I like this product to touch up the oilies during the day. But...it's useless as a primer. And there are likely products on the market now that can be had much cheaper. And the sponge, case issue...obnoxious. I hate carrying the sponge around in my bag, but I find myself doing it anyway. At least until I've used up the product and then I'm moving on.

Concealers -Mally Beauty - Cancellation Concealer 3-piece system

This concealer is just so-so. The packaging is also cumbersome. I found that the concealer does not cover as well as it should. It's ok for undereye if you don't have really bad discoloration, but it is useless to cover sun spot discoloration or blemish discoloration. You can get something from the drugstore that covers way better than this. When used with the powder, the concealer also tends to accentuate lines and flakiness.

I don't care for this color at all. It's very muddy looking on my skin. It's ok if I use just a bit, but I'm thankful that I purchased in a palette. I would never spend the money for this color in a single.

I love this product. It is designed for a blow-out, not leave in scrunchy messes. My hair is baby fine and this product delivers volume without weight and washes out clean without residue. I love it! Lasts a long time too since my hair isn't really long.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Fresh Foaming Cleanser

I like this cleanser. It does smell a little "dish soap-ish," but it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and doesn't irritate my eyes. It's efficient at removing all my makeup, which is more than I can say for Philosophy Purity or many other cleansers I've used. I also like to use oils for cleansing, and this is a good follow-up to those as well. I've used it by itself and after oils. Works both ways and I'm pleased with this budget-friendly product.
