Blush -MAC - Golden Kitty and Primpin Duo
MACgirlie 6/22/2005 10:58:00 PM
Definately one of my fav blushes of the moment!! The warm raspberry side gives my NC30 skintone a healthy flush and the shimmery gold side is a perfect highlighter. Make sure you use a light hand with this or apply in the sunlight where you can actually see how much you've applied b/c it is easy to go overboard. Don't be afraid of these colors...they are truly gorgeous on!!

Bronzers -MAC - Bronzing Stick - Rose d'Or - Belle Azure
MACgirlie 6/16/2005 5:49:00 PM
I don't really consider this a bronzer, it's more of a blush or e/s on me. I've used it as a blush, e/s, and on my lips with clear lipglass. It's an extremely versatile product, and even though it is LE..it will take me forever to use up. It really makes my blue eyes pop when used as an e/s, and it doesn't give me that "pink eye" look like some rosey/pinky colors do. I have oily skin, but it still works as bronzer/blush for me..makes my skin look so glowy and healthy. Overall, great product!!

Lotions/ Creams -Asquith & Somerset - coconut and banana all over body moisturizer
MACgirlie 6/11/2005 12:38:00 AM
I picked this up at TJ Maxx for like $5..great find:) I love anything that smells like bananas or tropical, and this definately fits the bill. The banana smell is more overpowering than the coconut, but it reminds me of relaxing on a tropical beach somewhere while sipping banana daquiris..yummy! I wish the scent lasted a little bit longer, but the lotion itself is very moisturizing without being greasy or heavy. Great for summertime!

Self Tanners -Clarins - Liquid Bronze
MACgirlie 6/11/2005 12:28:00 AM
I've tried numerous sunless tanners for the face, and this one is by far my favorite, so far. I have oily, acne-prone skin, and many sunless tanners leave a nasty greasy film on my face or break me out. So far..no problems with this one. It is kind of expensive, but you don't really use much of it. I prefer to apply with my fingertips since the cotton pad seems to soak up a lot of the product. It gives a very natural sunkissed golden glow to my MAC NC30 skintone, and it doesn't have that overpowering "funky" sunless tanner smell. I haven't really tried layering it yet for more color, but I'm very happy with this product so far.

Scrubs -MAC - Microfine Refinisher [DISCONTINUED]
MACgirlie 6/11/2005 12:24:00 AM
I got a small sample of this from my MAC counter, and I will definately be going back to get the full size. The MA told me to make sure and use very small circular motions when applying and only do one area at a time..otherwise, she said it would be like rubbing sandpaper all over your face. This stuff is definately very potent, but it leaves my skin feeling SO soft, it's unbelievable! I applied it to my damp face and massaged in little areas all over my face for a few minutes, rinsed, and followed with my PC toner. I do have somewhat sensitive skin, and it was somewhat flushed when I finished using it..however, the redness faded in a few minutes. My skin is super soft, more even-toned, and glowy now!! I LUV this stuff:) BTW..I have combo/oily, acne-prone skin.

Lip Gloss -Stila - lip polish in sparkle
MACgirlie 6/11/2005 12:17:00 AM
This is definately HG "your lips but better" color for me. It shows up a gorgeous berry/rosey pink with slight shimmer on my lightly pigmented lips, and I love it b/c it goes with just about any makeup look. It's just a few shades darker than my natural lip color. I work in a hospital, and my hours are pretty crazy..so this is the perfect gloss to always keep in my purse for brightening my face up and making me look more awake and polished than I really am..LOL. MAC NC30 for reference:)

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shiny-Licious in Coral Punch
MACgirlie 6/11/2005 12:06:00 AM
This shows up a pretty, shiny corally pink with slight gold shimmer on my lightly pigmented lips. It really brightens up my face, and it is one of my favorite drugstore products right now. I tried another color of the shiny-licious glosses, and it was total crap. I took one lippie off b/c the staying power isn't that great, but it's still a great color for my MAC NC30 complexion.

Liquid -Mary Kay - Medium Coverage Foundation
MACgirlie 6/3/2005 1:51:00 AM
Ok, let me just say that this is the ONLY liquid foundation that I have used and actually liked! I have oily/combo skin, and every other liquid I have tried either feels heavy/mask-like or turns my face into an oil slick. I actually use this foundation more like a concealer b/c I only use it on certain parts of my face that need more coverage under my regular powder foundation. It does not settle in my pores or feel heavy or cakey! I highly recommend this foundation for anyone who wants decent coverage without that nasty "mask" feeling. I use Ivory 200, and it blends well with my MAC NC30,Stila 40 watts skintone. This is one of the few MK products that I actually like and will repurchase. No breakouts from this one, either! This works great for spot covering as well as full face coverage.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Gitane Lipglass
MACgirlie 6/1/2005 4:00:00 PM
I kind of held off buying this color b/c I wasn't sure it was a must-have one for me...even though, I'm a MAC lipglass freak! Well, I will definately get a lot of wear out of this color..it shows up a pretty reddish berry color with some coral undertones and slight shimmer on my lips. It's not too bright, and I have a hard time pulling of some red colors..this one definately works for me, though. I'm a MAC NC30, and it really brightens up my face. Great color!!

Fragrances -Ralph Lauren - RALPH COOL [DISCONTINUED]
MACgirlie 5/31/2005 12:31:00 PM
I love this fresh, fruity scent for summer, but it doesn't seem to have much lasting power on me. I don't know..maybe it's just me that can't smell it?? I've gotten several compliments on it, though. I will try to use my little bottle up, but probably won't repurchase unless I figure out that it does last longer on me than I think?? LOL

Conditioner -Aveda - curessence [DISCONTINUED]
MACgirlie 5/31/2005 11:53:00 AM
I've been using this about 1X a week as a treatment after shampooing with either Kenra moisturizing shampoo or Tigi oatmeal and honey shampoo. It leaves my hair super soft and healthy looking. I have dry, damaged hair that is chemically straightened, and I will definately continue to use this as a treatment conditioner. Unlike other protein conditioners, I don't have to use a separate moisturizing treatment afterwards which saves a lot of time:) I plan on trying the matching shampoo, too. Overall, great product for dry, damaged hair!

Loose Powders -Clinique - Gentle Light powder [DISCONTINUED]
MACgirlie 5/31/2005 11:49:00 AM
I bought this at the CCO outlet on vacation, and I've been using it more as a highlighter than an overall powder. I bought the color 03 glow, and it blends well with my MAC NC30 skintone. I found that it was a little too shimmery to use all over on my shiny summertime skin. I do like using it to highlight under my eyes and on my cheeks. I don't use very much at a time..so it will last me forever!!

Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - Super Strong Daily Conditioner
MACgirlie 5/31/2005 11:20:00 AM
I used this in combination with the super strong shampoo, and they left my hair soft, shiny, and healthier looking. I have dry, damaged hair that I usually blow dry, and I think these products will help improve/maintain the health of my hair. The conditioner isn't heavy at all..I even recommended it to my mom who has fine, dry color-treated hair. My hair is pretty thick, but it gets weighed down easily. I will definately use this shampoo/conditioner on a regular basis.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Super Strong daily shampoo
MACgirlie 5/31/2005 11:16:00 AM
This is a good shampoo for my dry, damaged hair that I blow dry daily. It leaves my hair squeaky clean without feeling dry. It doesn't really have much of a scent..just light and clean. I used this in combination with the conditioner, and it left my hair soft, shiny, and healthy looking. I will definately continue to use these products!
