Mascara -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara

I have been looking for a DECENT replacement for Maybelline's Lash Stylist which I was in love with. WHY it was discontinued I will never know, but anyway, I DO like this. I like the rubbery bristles that separate my lashes. I like the wet black coating it gives and the fact that I can do two coats with no clumping, flaking or making my lashes feel like straw. It CAN give you raccoon eyes, though I haven't noticed that until late in the evening when I've had it on for 14+ hours so that's not a big deal to me. I stays put during my work day. Until I find something identical to Lash Stylist I will stick with this because I like the softness and healthy feeling it gives my lashes. And for those of you that like Full N' Soft from Maybelline, in my opinion this pretty much makes your lashes feel the same way, but to me makes them a bit darker, fuller and more dramatic.
Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation
Leal18 6/2/2010 8:25:00 AM
UPDATE: UGH...so frustrated!! The Bismuth Oxychloride in this broke me out and made me oily and itchy. I am so sad. :( At the risk of jinxing myself, I am in loooooove with this. I HATE HATE HATE mineral foundation. It makes me itchy, oily, breaks me out and oxidizes on my skin. I have tried the higher end mineral foundations, like Jane Iredale, etc. so I was extremely hesitant to try another one, MUCH LESS one from Maybelline. But ooooooh my goodness I couldn't ask for more. It makes my skin look flawless, doesn't break me out, make me itch, make me oily or change color. I apply to a freshly showered face with my oversized powder brush. I can't find a negative thing about this product. Like ALL cosmetics, what works for one might not work for another, but for me this is a wonderful powder foundation and I HOPE I continue having a positive experience with it. : )
Nooooooooo.....this is WAY too....um...I can't say moisturizing, but just ICK. I don't feel clean when I use this I just feel like I have a perfumey FILM on my body. I will not use this again. Gag.
Lip Gloss -Physicians Formula - Plump Potion Clear
Leal18 4/7/2010 2:07:00 PM
This is most definitely my HG gloss. I am on my third tube of clear and I have stopped using all other balms/glosses from my arsenal of products. This plumps my lips (without burning or stinging), the shine lasts MUCH longer than any other gloss I've used, and I chew gum all day so this staying power is great. It is VERY sticky but that doesn't bother me in the least. The only time that's a hassle is out in the wind when my hair sticks to my lips ;) I will absolutely buy this over and over and unless something changes, I will use this exclusively as I have been for the past two months. I reapply during the day several times, but even with that, a tube will last me about a month. Love love love. : ) It's $9.99 at CVS which I would normally find a bit pricey for a DS gloss, but I think this is worth it.
I so wanted to love this line of products... Hands down, the worst line, for my hair, that I've ever used. I used this shampoo this morning for the first time after much reading, and excitement to try it. I bought a trial kit at Ulta yesterday. The smell of this shampoo, the texture, and the after effects couldn't be any closer to Pond's cold cream than if I had scooped THAT out of the jar instead of squeezing this out of the bottle. Honestly, I would swear it was Pond's. BUT, I pressed on determined to give it a go. I followed with the One Condition conditioner and although the smell was better than the shampoo, and had a bit more 'slip' to it, it did nothing to condition my hair. Once I was ready to step out of the shower, I aaaaaaaaaalmost grabbed my clarifying shampoo to get this crappy film off my hair, but I thought, "No...just finish what you started." So after leaving my hair up in a towel while I applied my make-up, I gently combed through it as I normally do only to find JUST as many tangles as always if not more. I followed with the AnGel gel which was thick, not runny, but once rubbed in my palms, felt more water based than gel based. Then I diffused it dry and followed with the Set It Free spray. The result...my hair is flat, feels incredibly greasy and coated, and STILL TANGLED. I had to wear it up today because I didn't have time to rewash. My scalp is itching and my hair feels disgusting. I have thick, but fine wavy hair....this is clearly in no way a good line for me....my search continues.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength Nail Colour in Diamonds

Love this. I have worn it over every color I own and it's just gorgeous. Haven't worn it alone, but I adore it over my reds, pinks, purples, and even my one bottle of black polish. When I paint my toes black and use this over the top, it takes the color from a flat halloween look to a very sparkly evening look and looks fantastic when I have on my black strappy heels. Just great. :)
LOVE this!!! I use it EVERYNIGHT after I cleanse my face. Smooth a small amount all over concentrating on my eye area especially. NO breakouts and it's cleared my skin and WAY reduced my oil production during the day. :) :)
Tinted Moisturizer -Kiss My Face - Tinted Moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]
Leal18 8/20/2009 3:27:00 PM
UPDATE: This was breaking me out so I had to stop using. :( Love, love, love. I classify this much more as a foundation than a moisturizer. Matches my skin perfectly, KEEPS MY OILIES AT BAY WHOO HOO!!!....and with some bronzer and powder, my skin looks better than it has in years. This gives me coverage withOUT making me look like I have foundation caked on. Love it.
I've been using this for about a week and a half and I'm shocked at how much I love it. UPDATE:...in the sun, this looks chalky and dreadful on me. Eh...no thank you.
Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Smooth Away hair removing pads
Leal18 8/5/2009 2:00:00 PM
Ok, NOT sure why I even ATTEMPTED to try this. Whyyyyy would I think SHAVING my legs with an oversized EMORY board would work. Mm-hmm...stupid. HORRID product. I'm surprised it passed the marketing team and even MORE surprised that I TRIED IT. I'll stick with the smooth results I get from shaving.
UPDATE: Well this over time was making my skin, especially around my eyes, insanely dry. I've stopped using. Knock on wood, so far this is just awesome. I have switched cleansers about seven times in as many months, and my skin continued to break out and act insane. I've used Neutrogena One Step, AHA foaming face wash, Dove beauty bar, Aveeno, Olay cleanser, Olay daily facials, Basis cleaner clean, you name it, I've tried it lately. But this is wooooooonderful. I use Dermalogica PreCleanse, then this citrusy cleanser and I am VERY happy. My breakouts have all cleared up and my skin isn't tight, dry, or over oily. Happy. :) I'll update if anything changes.
Skincare - Body -Alba Botanica - Hawaiian Kukui Nut Massage Oil
Leal18 7/2/2009 10:08:00 AM
I adore this oil. I dab a tiny bit around my eyes at night before bed. It absorbs beautifully. I can't say it reduces wrinkles or anything, but I love the feel and the way it just sinks in and nourishes my skin.
Cleansers -Olay - Deep Cleansing Daily Facials Cleansing Cloths
Leal18 6/17/2009 9:59:00 AM
Well, I don't know WHAT is going on with my skin, but I would say stress if I had to venture a guess. I am breaking out much more than normal for me. I am not happy with my Neutrogena One Step, OR my Alpha Hydrox foaming face wash, OR my Aveeno Creamy Baby Wash, OR the Dove Sensitive Skin bar, OR anything else I've tried lately. Last night I bought these Deep Cleansing daily facial cloths and I like them. It's too soon to say what they'll do to my sking, but I'll definitely update in a week or so. UPDATE: Eh...not impressed. I am now using Basis Cleaner Clean face wash. I am trying so hard to get my skin in good shape with the help of a decent cleanser, but so far, I'm not liking anything new or any of my old standbys. The search continues..... I'm fighting wrinkles AND some adult acne. Joy.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Auric Blends Egyptian Goddess
Leal18 5/22/2009 2:06:00 PM
Wooooooonderful sexy scent. I love this fragrance on me. I had a guy at work the other day come up to my desk and say, "I mean no offense, but WHAT are you WEARING?" I said, "Um...a roll on perfume oil." I was suddenly afraid he was going to say, "GAG." But he just smiled and said, "No, what's it CALLED?" I said, "Oh...Egyptian Goddess." He said, "Well, I'm getting it for my wife because it smells intoxicating." Deeeeeewd...thanks. :) I have gotten several compliments on it since then. It's just a very musky, vanilla-y sexy scent. I prefer this over my VS Heavenly which I thought I would never replace.
Lovely bronze color, but absolutely TOO much shine for me. Made me look oily and accentuated my pores. Way too much shimmer for me.
