I couldn't really seem to find this mask anywhere by me, but last night buying lotion I found it for $3! I heard raves about this stuff, so I've been wanting to try it for a while. I'm a Freeman addict so it was a little hard buying this, lol. However, this mask really does rock! It burnt horribly at first, but I let it sit for about 20 minutes and when it began to crack on my face, I washed off with warm water. When the mask dried, you could actually SEE the pores and blackheads. My skin doesn't feel too dried out and it feels pretty soft! I don't know that it did anything for my acne, but my blackheads definitely looked less visible. I'll keep using this mask for a while!
Liquid -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup
KandyKisses 7/18/2012 2:57:00 AM
Ugh, so many things suck about this foundation! I love love love Neutrogena, but they went terribly wrong with this icky foundation. Luckily I got this on sale, but still regret buying it period. It says it's oil-free and ideal for acne-prone skin. I have both acne-prone skin and super oily skin, so I figured it would be the solution to all of my problems! Wrong, it created MORE problems! This foundation is incredibly greasy in texture and I feel like it just slips off of my face. It's very wet-feeling, and takes forever to dry even just a little bit. It wears off if you rub your face a little - very faint coverage which was unexpected considering it's made for acne-prone skin... which means it should be full coverage! Not at all. It's very "sheer" even after piled on top of concealer and primer. You can still see all of my imperfections clearly, no matter how well you try to blend this foundation in. It gets worse throughout the day and makes my skin look incredibly gross. Not to mention it feels so heavy and wet! I've only used it about four times and I don't think I'll try it one more. Save yourself some cash and just buy NORMAL foundation.
I got one of Ulta's filled train cases as a gift and this was the first shadow I used. Already, I noticed a difference between Ulta and some other brands. This shadow was awesome! It was shimmery and made my eyes look bright. The color would probably look flawless with brown eyes - I have blue and it didn't exactly clash too well. Still, it's a light shadow with pretty shimmers. Really nice to wear every day! I will probably buy this shadow separate.
I bought this earlier today while the sale was going on because I've been watching tuts on how to make eyes look brighter and bigger. Well, this is my first eyeliner other than black, and I adore it! It's shimmery but goes on so smoothly, yet can be wiped away easily. It didn't really make my eyes look bigger, but it complimented my face and made my blue eyes pop! I'll probably definitely pick up a few more in Halo, I already bought Black - awesome product. Ulta is great quality and they often sell their brand cheap!
Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - Finishes Mattifying Moisturizer spf 15
KandyKisses 7/16/2012 2:26:00 PM
Okay, I do LOVE this lotion. I have an insanely oily face and this definitely keeps my skin dry for a few hours. The packaging is nice and sleek as well. That's about all the good things I have to say! It's pretty expensive for the small size. I guess you aren't supposed to use too much of it, but it doesn't moisturize that well so I have to use a lot to make sure it SOMEWHAT gets my dry spots... and even then, I have to use a different moisturizer for those spots (Nivea or Freeman) and the Clean & Clear lotion gets all icky when I rub another lotion on top of it. The worst thing about this moisturizer is it makes you look like a GHOST. I would not recommend this if you're wearing it alone with no make-up. Even with make-up, I have to wear much darker shades because of how ghostly and pale I look when I wear this. Either way, this is great at controlling oil and I have the cleanser as well. The cleanser rocks just as much, but they both have a not-so-nice smell. Kind of like clay, but with chemicals... not so pretty smelling. It would be so awesome if they worked on the smell - I would use this a lot more often. I probably will repurchase because this is one of the only moisturizers that claims to control oil and ACTUALLY DOES IT! Clean & Clear products rock my world, and I use many other. I hope this line stays available for us with the nasty oily skin!
Powder -Neutrogena - mineral sheers mineral powder foundation-fair to light
KandyKisses 7/13/2012 11:11:00 AM
I don't know what to say about this product. It kinda sucks. I bought it on sale and thought, hey, it's Neutrogena so it's probably awesome. Neutrogena make-up has failed me so far, though I love their acne-fighting products! Anyway, this was okay for a few uses. However, I realized that after brushing on the powder, there were bristle streaks all over my face. Not too much of a big deal. I had to shake the powder hard until it actually came out in small bursts. The packaging is horrible. The brush is unsanitary in my situation, with acne-prone skin I have to constantly wash brushes. I washed the bristles gently and they hardened into a sticky, tough shape. This is full of suck. I don't use it anymore at all, would never buy it or recommend it to anyone.
I just bought this in Think Pink for $2 at Kmart. I was desperate for a super cheap lippie as I just ran out of my Rimmel and only had a few bucks to spare. I thought I would regret buying this but... nope! I love it! It gives me super pouty pink lips, but stays pretty matte and lasts for a long while. I've only used it once so far, but I see it becoming a staple in my make-up routine!
I bought this mascara for prom a few months ago but ended up wearing fake lashes. Since I'm not skilled enough to put on fake lashes every day, I wear heaps of mascara to make my own lashes pretty. This mascara blew me away! It doesn't clump whatsoever. It's waterproof but comes off with soap and water. It dries quick as well! It wears down quickly, but initially makes my lashes pop. They look longer and make my eyes look much prettier. It has a scent that doesn't particularly bother me, but it smells a bit like roses. Interesting. I'm always open to trying new mascaras, but I think this one will most definitely be a staple and when I have nowhere to turn, it'll be back to Lash Stiletto!
This mask is insanely messy, but then again, I don't use honey. I use uncoated migraine pills mixed with water and I slather it on my face like no tomorrow, as I have severe acne. It ends up crusting and falling off within an hour, so I have to be extra careful if I want it to work. It works for sure, though. Nothing clears up my nasty zits more than migraine pills. They get rid of the redness and leave my skin bright and not so inflamed. Wonderful. I'm about to go use this mask now!
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
KandyKisses 7/12/2012 11:54:00 PM
I have mixed feelings about this product. I didn't buy it for myself, because I don't have the money to buy Clinique, but my aunt usually gives me the smaller gifts with her normal Clinique purchases. She gave me a bunch of these lotions. I used them extensively for about two months and I loved it - yeah, there was a dramatic difference! Overall, my skin seemed to improve in being brighter, softer, and less acne was arising. However, I stopped using it for another product that broke me out horribly. Once I picked it back up to use, it made my skin terribly oily and sometimes wouldn't moisturize as much as I needed it to. It has a great texture and it isn't really scented. It feels great on the skin but I guess results depend. I still use it from time to time and always take it on the go. It's still a nice product.
Lipstick -Revlon - Matte lipstick in Mauve It Over
KandyKisses 7/11/2012 9:36:00 PM
Love love love this lippie! I bought it a while ago, thinking I liked the color and later realized I didn't like the stick's color, but I gave it a try anyway. This might be a let down to some, but the mauve turns out light pink on my lips and the color is just adorable! A lot of people complain that this lipstick is drying, but I can put foundation over my lips and wear this and yes it dries, but it's matte. What do you expect? Matte isn't sheer, so you're not going to get super glossy, moisturized lips. If it's drying, you might want to use chapstick underneath. However, I can use it alone and I love the matte feel. My lips always feel silky and soft, and because it's matte it lasts MUCH longer as I'm not rubbing my lips together. I applied this lippie about four hours ago and it's still going as strong as when I applied, after food and drink! I think I'll definitely buy the "Sky Pink" once this tube runs out, as I love this lippie's effect! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good, decently priced matte lipstick.
Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Pink Grapefruit Refreshing Lip Balm
KandyKisses 5/19/2012 4:21:00 AM
I love Burt's Bees. When I heard this balm came out, I went straight out and bought it. It smells so summery and bright - certainly refreshing! It doesn't feel like the beeswax balms, it's a lot more smooth and light. Still makes your lips feel wonderful and pretty, plus it smells so yummy!
I didn't like this balm at first, but I've fallen absolutely head over heels for it recently! I got sick of the generic lip balms making my lips feel sticky and clammy, so I tried this balm that I had sitting in my drawer. It's sooo delightful. I use it constantly throughout the day and always before applying a lippy. Even on hot summer days, it's nice because it cools your lips and DOES NOT stick! I now have about four of these (not including the other flavors!) and keep them everywhere. ;)
I don't really know what I think about this product. I got it on sale and I got it in a bright, light pink - I don't remember the name. The first time I applied too much gloss because I didn't see any color, and I got TOO much color. It starts to appear when it dries. It dries really fast, but it's REALLY sticky if you don't cover every crevice of your lips with the balm (I actually use Maybelline's Baby Soft balm over this). The color really does last hours - through drinking, eating, licking lips, etc. However, it gets REALLY dry. It cracks your lips, and looks really desert-like and unattractive. However, I will continue to use it and I'll just have to stick with applying balm constantly. Very nice lasting color and pigmentation!
Styling Products -Schwarzkopf - Zero Frizz - Corrective Hair Serum
KandyKisses 12/1/2011 9:19:00 PM
OMG! I freaking love this product. My mom uses a lot of hair styling products, and if she doesn't like them, she gives them to me. This was one of them. She said she liked it, but it was too greasy when applying. This is true - it makes your hands greasy but if you wipe or wash them it's fine. Anyway, you only need a little bit to go a long way, and I have really thick, damaged hair. I use this every morning and my hair looks beautiful, straight, perfect. I have a tendency to play with my hair during school, and running my fingers through my hair is fun. This product takes away all the knots and tangles. It just makes my hair so smoothe and soft. It diminishes frizzies and poofy hair. I'm running low, and I'm definitely going to repurchase soon. I recommended this to so many people! Oh, by the way the smell is nice. It can be overwhelming if you use too much, but it's pleasant.
