Treatments -Merle Norman - Luxiva Wrinkle Smoother
Juicy_TNA 3/26/2009 9:52:00 AM
I love this creme. I'm in my early-mid twenties and needed a creme to start helping me out with early signs of aging. This totally fits the bill!! I have oily skin that is prone to blocked pores (white/blackheads) and this doesn't break me out. Since using this for the last 2 weeks, my complexion has improved considerably. It also goes well under makeup and makes for a silky night cream. I will continue to use this and until I find something better, I'll be back for more. EDIT: Not moisturizing enough and I have not seen any long-term results. Will not repurchase.

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Chocolate Eye Palette
Juicy_TNA 2/17/2009 10:14:00 PM
I spent close to $80 on this palette at Holt Renfrew and I cannot say I am impressed. I have tried for a long time to make it work and love it but alas... I don't!! It makes my eyes dull and tired looking...lifeless. The hype got to me but at the end, this palette was a huge let down. At least it looks pretty amongst my MU collection...and the e/s duo-ended brush that came with it isn't shabby either. EDIT: I have learned to use some of the colors better - esp the silver shade which makes for a beautiful smokey eye. The darker browns are still a little difficult to work with....except as a liner perhaps? Still a worthy collection but I would not repurchase.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream Shaper for Eyes-Egyptian
Juicy_TNA 2/17/2009 10:10:00 PM
I do not remember the last time I used a pencil liner. For the last few years, I have been using either liquid or gel pots. After reading all the good reviews for clinique's cream shapers, I took the plunge and decided to give this a try...and I love it~!!! I am SO stoked about this pencil's staying power...I am absolutely amazed! And application is smooth and effortless. This dark mossy charcoal green is a very nice change to my usual black. I am keen on purchasing more colors off this line. 2 thumbs up :)

Eyeliner -Stila - Smudge Pot in Black
Juicy_TNA 2/8/2009 3:16:00 PM
I have cream liners from MAC, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, and now Stila. If I had to rank their formulas, I would say 1 - Clinique: gives a smooth, long lasting, easy application 2 - Stila: smooth easy application, fairly long lasting 3 - MAC: fair application, fairly long lasting but smudges after a full day of work 4 - Bobbi Brow - their formula dries out and is hard to apply, otherwise, its very long lasting on the eyes

Eye Shadow -Stila - Kitten
Juicy_TNA 2/8/2009 3:11:00 PM
Very shimmery golden champagne. Not the most flattering shade next to my medium olive skin. I prefer MAC Shroom or the shimmery side of NARS All About Eyes duo. Formula is nice and gives a smooth application. Wrong shade for me but Stila eye shadows are of great quality and wear.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Creme d'Nude
Juicy_TNA 10/21/2008 5:11:00 PM
I am a big fan of nude lippies but this one did not blow me away. Its like a light version of MAC Underplay with less orange undertone. I would describe it as a medium brown and not a nude. NARS Bell De Jour, Honolulu Honey, or Chelsea Girls lip gloss is more along the lines of a nude w/o the brown undertones. It looks fine on me and I'm an NC25-30

I hate this. Its sparkley and looks fake fake fake. I broke my NARS laguna and replaced it with this - a huuuuge mistake!! Incomparable and the proof is in the pictures. Uhhhg, stay away.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Forever and Ever
Juicy_TNA 5/4/2008 3:57:00 AM
UPDATE: Okay, I've been wearing this for a week now and my opinion on this has greatly changed. Apperently, this smells great on me cause I keep getting complimented on how nice I smell!! People are asking me what I'm wearing and where they can get it! I guess compliments helped changed my mind about this since now I've come to really accept it. Its a fabulous fragrance for Spring and Summer -- give it a try. There's nothing else out there like it :)
Now keep a bottle in my purse with me everywhere I go.
I got this off ebay cause of all the good reviews I read here. However, I guess scent is really a subjectional thing. CD's Forever and Ever is a very floral scent - its not a sweet scent. Personally, I'm not loving it on my skin. I really wanted to like this, especially since I dished out a lot of to get it. Hopefully, this will grow on me but for now, I'm just disappointed :(

Fragrances -Burberry - The Beat [DISCONTINUED]
Juicy_TNA 5/1/2008 10:01:00 PM
I smelled this while shopping and thought it was pretty good. So i asked the SA for a sample to try on for a while. I got great comments about it from everyone so I finally decided to get it. I got the 2.5oz one - the bottle is really simple yet stylish. I would describe the smell as summery sweet powdery and a lil fruity.

Blush -Cargo - Rome
Juicy_TNA 7/19/2007 3:14:00 AM
Wow, I bought this on a whim cause I found it for a very good price on eBay and was itching to try out CARGO blushes. I'm so suprised at how much I love this!! I have MAC Springsheen which I thought looked similar but this is in my opinion way way wayyyy better. It makes me look so fabulous in photos! FYI: NC25, brown hair/eyes. I'd say that my skin is fair-medium.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Shimmer - Springsheen
Juicy_TNA 4/21/2007 8:52:00 PM
I love this blush. It gives me the most gorgous warm glow. I purchased this on a whim cause I found it for a very good price on ebay. I didn't think I'd love it this much! This has earned HG status in my book and I think everyone needs to go out and get this blush!! Whoever said NARS Orgasm is the shiz probably hasn't given Springsheen a try. It's so much better!!

Scrubs -MAC - Microfine Refinisher [DISCONTINUED]
Juicy_TNA 4/6/2007 8:37:00 AM
I'm so glad I read the reviews and purchased this. I had a really good feeling that this was gonna work for me and it did! I used it for the first time tonight. My skin has been really rough lately due to late night studying sessions and falling asleep with makeup on (something I don't usually do but i've been plain exhausted lately to the point where I just pass out on my bed). This saved my skin. This along with using the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. I can't believe how soft, supple, and smooth my skin is now. Incredible!
I do have to agree with the reviewer below that this is not a product for the faint hearted. It's got microbeads of sand like substance that really scrubs at your face. So if you've got sensitive skin, steer clear of this. Lucky for me, my skin looooves a good scrub. Two thumbs up for this and I will most definately buy this again!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 182 Buffer Brush (Couture)
Juicy_TNA 4/3/2007 1:03:00 AM

This is the best brush ever!!! I cannot stress enough how soft and plush this is against my skin. And its so dense and perfectly tapered as well! It was totally worth the splurge. During a visit to the MAC store (looking for Barbie stuff) I picked this up and used it to apply MAC's BPs. I was amazed at how well it distributed powder. After I left, I couldn't stop thinking about the 182. I finally caved and bought it a week later. And I don't regret it one bit. I consider this an investment :) I do wish that it came with a little velvet draw-string pouch to carry the brush around in. I can't bear to just throw it into my MU bag with the rest of my things!
