Crème -Pure Luxe Cosmetics - Whipped Creme Foundation

What a horrible product! This stuff looked creamy in the container but when applied it dried almost immediately to a dry powder on your skin. It was hard to spread so I got strikes everywhere. Skin looked like powdery perkament. It feels thightened and dry, like wearing an itchy mask. I couldn't also find a perfect match for my skin(NW15).

Moisturizers -La Prairie - Cellular Time Release Moisture Intensive Cream

After reading so many positive reviews here on MUA I got some samples from the company and tried them for 2 weeks. This moisturizer did really notting spectacular for my skin. My skin felt greasy after some time (even when I used a little amount)and my pores were more visible. The Texturizing Booster also disappointed me. I really saw no improvement. After 2 weeks using these very overpriced products I tried the aspirin mask (aspirins soluted in warm water). A "miracle" happened. My skin felt so soft and polished! Save your money and buy some aspirins!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Mask
rated 5 of 5

Unbelievable! After reading so many positive reviews on MUA I decided to give it a try. I mixed 3 aspirins with some warm water in my hands. I put it on my face and after a few minutes my skin started to tingle. After 10 minutes I had to rinse it off because I felt a mild burning. My skin was smooth, soft en polished in an unbelievable manner! The last 2 weeks I also used La Prairies Texturizing Booster and de Time Release Moisturizer but I saw absolutely no noticeable results. In fact the moisturizer made my face greasy! The aspirin mask is by far the best product I have ever used for my skin and I have tried a lot!

Mascara -Lancome - Cils Booster
rated 5 of 5

Never used a primer under my mascara (Lancomes Flextencils and Defenicils) but this stuff gives my lashes an extra boost in combination with the Shiseido eyelash curler. Holds my mascara perfect the whole day!

Treatments -L'Oreal - Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Hair Treatment
rated 2 of 5

Because of so many raves on this board I wanted to try this. I bought 2 mega tubs on Ebay and paid $35 (22$ shipping costs). When I rinsed my hair it felt really smooth and it did a great job detangling my hair! But when my hair was (air)dried my hair felt so coated (a bit sticky) and the top layer looked dry. Horrible!

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation
rated 3 of 5
Judith 8/6/2004 4:21:00 PM

Yes, I LOVE this unlike all the other low/highend covering foundations I tried the last 15 years! I bought this 3 months ago after a long search in Belgium because this brand isn't available in The Netherlands (Europe). After reading the reviews of this product on MUA I wanted to try it by myself. I got this in shade 20, a neutral very pale color, a bit too dark but I correct it with a pale pressed powder on top. This foundation is buildable in the amount of coverage you want and the best part is that it doesn't cake. Not while applying it and also not after wearing it for hours! I really liked Max Factor Performance but MUFE gives me the same coverage without feeling (and seeing) wearing a "mask". After applying I set it with a compact powder because I like to have porcelain matte skin. Another positive part is that the foundation doesn't set in my pores and make them look almost invisible. Edit 2007: This foundation is too dewy for me and I realized that #20 was to dark for my skin. I bought #38 but alsno not a HG. Since 4 years I use L'oreal Solar Expertise SS as a primer, some concealer and an ultrapale pressed powder from the brand "Manhattan" (www.manhattancosmetics.com). Great coverage and looking more natural, not like wearing obviously liquid foundation. No touch ups required because of oily t-zone like with most liquid foundations.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous lipgloss in Glossy Rose [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Judith 8/6/2004 3:56:00 PM

I am pleasantly surprised with this gloss. It is thick and very sticky in the container but spreads nicely and even on your lips. Super shiny/glossy with a subtil hint of colour. A very nice plum pink shade that goes very well with my pale complexion. I like the packaging: it gives a "click" at opening/closing the container. Won't leak! Also very easy in use for touch ups. Don't need a mirror to apply!

Mascara -Christian Dior - Maximeyes [DISCONTINUED]

Today I wanted to see if my Láncome definicils (and Flextencils)is still the best lenghtening mascara for me. I went to the store and tried one eye with Maximeyes and the other with Definicils. I saw the difference and even the saleswoman saw, without telling her, a huge difference. Lancome did the best job!

Cleansers -Dr. Hauschka - Cleansing Cream
rated 4 of 5
Judith 5/22/2004 1:44:00 PM

An earthy "scrubby" substance in a tube. A strange smell. I didn't expect much from this product. But I was amazed about its qualities when I used it. Soft, smooth skin with a rosy glow. My occasional zits left and now after 4 weeks use they never have been coming back. Fabulous stuff so I ordered 10 tubes of this stuff in Germany for $7 each. Yes, what a bargain. The trick with Dr Hauschka is that it really works when you use in combination with the other products. After cleansing I use the Clarifying Toner (another absolute favorite!) and then the quince cream or the daily moisterizer. Edit: Although still a good product I prefer Weleda and Garden of Wisdom over Dr. Hauschka for natural skincare in general. Both are working better for my skin.

IMO it's a shame that Chance is released because it smells like Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle! I don't like both..

Skincare - Face -Garnier - Synergie Pure Sebum Control Moisturizer
rated 3 of 5
Judith 10/24/2002 11:19:00 AM

This creme leaves a very, very matte finish. Like you have lightly powdered your face. Contains clay, Zinc and Salicyclic Acid that keeps your skin under control! Update November 19th 2002. This whole line broke me out! Probably the Salicyclic Acid. When I stopped my skin recovered almost immediately!

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Purezone skin clearing gel cleanser
rated 2 of 5
Judith 10/24/2002 11:05:00 AM

WOW this stuff rocks. The blue gel comes in a transparant bottle with dispenser (in Europe the name isn't Loreal but Garnier). My skin smells superfresh (menthol) and is so clean (must be the Salicyclic Acid/anti-bacteriel). Update November 19 th 2002: The whole line broke me out very badly. I stopped using it and within a week my skin totally cleared up!
