Lotions/ Creams -DERMAdoctor - KP Duty

I've only been using this product for two days now and therefore have not seen any difference in my KP, but I wanted to chime in and say that I think this tube will last me longer than some people on here have been saying. I only use a small dollop when I get out of the shower, but I find that the lotion spreads very quickly and evenly so that I don't have to use a ton of product. I also don't smell anything medicine-y here, when it comes out of the tube I don't notice any smell at all, and only after I have it on my arms can I smell anything at all (even then only if I actually put my nose to the skin of my arm and take a deep whiff). I've been using this in conjunction with the scrub, even though these products are expensive I'm willing to repurchase if they'll clear up the KP. I'll update this review once I've spent some more time with the products. Edit: *sigh* I gave this over 4 months to work. Used the scrub twice a week in conjunction with the cream morning and night, and although my skin now feels very smooth it has done nothing to reduce the redness and rash-like appearance of my arms. I would have happily continued to pay for this if there were visible results, but sadly this appears to be just another good quality, highly overpriced lotion. Won't repurchase.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Blackest Black

Years ago I tried Great Lash and thought it was absolute crap. It was thin and wet, never seemed to dry on my lashes, and would smear at the earliest opportunity. I got a real kick out of reading the reviews of this product, it was nice to see everyone thought it was as horrible as I did. It was The Mascara I Loved To Hate. And then I saw a tube of it in Target, called Blackest Black. I'm always looking for a really saturated black hue for my mascara, and the tube was only 3 or 4 bucks, so I figured why not? Here's what I learned: 1. The mascara is much, much better than it used to be. It dries quickly and doesn't feel so wet and goopy. It didn't flake on me or cause any irritation. 2. The applicator is beyond bad. When you put this on your lashes, you will have three giant eyelashes that will make you look like a freak. 3. If you have a little bit of time to spend, this mascara could be your new best friend. My routine that I've finally perfected is: curl one lash, apply mascara, and then take a good quality lash separator (not one of the plastic ones, it has to have metal teeth) and comb the lashes from root to tip. This will result in an even application of mascara with fairly minimal effort. If you don't have the time to do this, don't even bother with it. They made the brush so bad on this thing (and the packaging is so tacky I'm embarrassed to be seen with the tube) that you'll never be able to use it without help. But I am really happy to discover that I can now get a great mascara for next to nothing, when I have been paying upwards of $15 per tube for the better brands.
