Concealers -L'Oreal - visible lift line minimizing concealer
InColor 4/14/2009 11:10:00 PM
I honestly thought this concealer wasn't as bad as everyone is rating it to be. It didn't cause additional dryness and like all concealers I've tried in the past, it did settle into lines after an hr or 2 after application but as i've mentioned already, I haven't found one that didn't. Concealers all tend to be thicker and creamier in consistency and if you have lines around the eye area, they tend to settle in them sooner or later. Applying a mattifying powder to set may help in preventing that situation but results do vary. In terms of coverage, I do admit it was light but buildable and it also didn't accentuate any dryness i have around my eyes. Thicker concealers have the tendency to make my dryness more apparent. It does however have too sheer of a coverage despite it being a concealer. The color however meshed well with my skin tone. Not the best, but def not the worst!

Misc Beauty Tools -Shiseido - Eyelash Curler
InColor 4/14/2009 10:54:00 PM
This is an incredible eyelash curler! I bought this a couple months ago to incorporate more dramatic lashes into my daily MU routine! and I was debating between this and the shu's but stuck with this mainly because it was cheaper and it came with additional rubber mushroom heads for 14$! I find it very well suited for my asian eyes and does not get caught in my eyelids. Curls beautifully as well! def recommend!

Treatments -Skinceuticals - Refining Night Cream With 1 % Pure Retinol
InColor 2/19/2009 3:06:00 PM
I have to state that this is an extremely potent product that can yield impressive results if used faithfully over a long duration. I've been using this for 2 days, and already my skin is peeling like a snake..a side effect commonly associated with retinol. It's odd because prescription retinoids are suppose to be a lot stronger..and I'm currently on tretinoin 0.5% which never made my skin this flakey. Normally an individual who has never been exposed to a retinoid should start off with a .5 strength. But, considering my skin has experienced supposedly an aggresive medication I figured it would have absolutely no trouble adjusting to this one! I am definitely surprised in a good, and bad way. I have a birthday party to attend to this fri!! I can't go with a flakey face! that's just inappropriate. On the flipside, at least I know it works! I'm really hoping it's not the alcohol that's causing this enormous wave of flakes because we all know..that can be damaging. A good thing that I purchased a cream to have on hand on my dry days...thank you super rescue antioxidant night moisturizer dry-combo! I desperate need some relief. I will however, edit this post once I've I've effectively tested the product out. =D

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Travel Size Set of 5 [DISCONTINUED]
InColor 2/19/2009 3:03:00 PM
Small, cute and your able to take it with you anywhere! in terms of staying on power, it's not too shabby as long as you don't apply around your waterline because it will not stay on. It's quite creamy, and glides on quite easily I really enjoy yayo and black. Overall, it's nothing spectacular but it will serve its purpose.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Rich
InColor 2/19/2009 3:00:00 PM
Not impressed at all...this eye cream causes rashes around my eyes..nor does it hydrate, or help with dark circles what so ever. Jar packaging which is always a nono for me. Definitely not worth it and will not be repurchasing.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer
InColor 2/19/2009 2:57:00 PM
I currently have this in 2 skin types. I have one for oily-oily combination as well as dry-combination. I use the dry combination for my eyes and for days when I need extra moisture from my dreaded retinol regimen and oily-oily combo for the other days. So far, this hasn't caused any breakouts. I haven't noticed a significant amount of difference in my skin condition but I suppose I'm still young, and I'm rather looking for maintenance rather than correction. I also use this during the day underneath my super age defense with spf 25 because they had a special promotion during xmas time (including the all about eyes rich which sucks!) they are a great combo though. During my flakey days..the oily combo tends to be not moisturizing enough! But I have quite the oily skin so it helps keep it at bay. I will continue to use this product although, I wouldn't consider it to my my HG.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense-Combo Oily to Oily
InColor 2/19/2009 2:48:00 PM
This is a great day time moisturizer. It doesn't cause breakouts for my sensitive and acne prone skin. It doesn't dry out my face either. Just the right amount of moisture. The only downside of this is the jar packaging. I really don't like dipping my fingers into my products for hygienic purposes as well for the stability of any present antioxidants. I really do appreciate the non irritating sunscreen that I can use on a daily basis! I'm on the fence about whether I'll be repurchasing due to its packaging but this will do for now =D

Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Creamliner
InColor 2/19/2009 2:42:00 PM
This is an amazing eyeliner for your waterline! I have extremely watery eyes and this lasted the test of time! of course it didn't last a long night of partying, but in comparison to most eyeliners claiming to have staying on power, this has outlasted all that I've tried including Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner, prestige pencil eyeliner, MAC pencil eyeliner as well as many drug store brands..It's a bit hefty considering it's 23$ CAD price tag but I think it's worth it. Remember to keep the plastic film and close the lid tightly after each use for it can dry up. Another lovely factor that it does not irritate my eyes~ =D This one is a keeper!

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
InColor 2/17/2009 5:29:00 PM
This is an amazing product. I've been using Everyday Minerals for the past 2 years..and I've noticed that due to the use of a retinol, my skin has always turned out flakey by the end of the day and powder foundations just seemed to accentuate the flakes 100X more. Ever since the transition from mineral foundation to this one, there is a huge difference in how natural the coverage looks. It blends unbelievably well, does not cause breakouts, and gives your skin a more natural look rather than looking like make up is there. Great buildable coverage. In terms of lasting power, it lasts just as well as mineral powder depending on the time of the month because some days I'm just oilier. I just need to find a loose powder that can tackle that problem. I'm definitely eyeing the shu uemara loose powder in that dept. Anyhow...I bought mine at Sears and it seems to be cheaper than Sephora. Last time I remember, Sephora was selling this foundation for 56$CAD! I paid 43$CAD at sears! As much as I love Sephora..how can there be such a big difference between prices!? Anyways...great foundation! love love love! I'm using the 140 and it's not exactly a perfect match because I coordinate with my neck but it's close enough! EDIT:Sephora now sells this foundation for the same price as sears $43 CAD but I still remember them selling it for 56$ coz they had a sticker over the actual listed price! ugh

Loose Powders -Everyday Minerals - Finishing Dust
InColor 12/20/2008 11:46:00 AM
This product leaves a white cast and the feel of my face is grainy once applied. I'm currently combating flaky skin due to dry winter conditions and once I apply this, it only accentuates the look of flaky skin. In terms of absorbing oil however is not bad,

Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - Skin Balancing Moisture Gel
InColor 2/21/2008 2:00:00 AM
This is a great LIGHT moisturizer. It leaves a velvety soft matte finish and does not cause breakouts..However, I felt that during the canadian cold winter months..the hydration aspect of the gel did not suffice and it seemed to exacerbate my dry flakey skin (I'm under a tretinoin regimen btw). This would be the perfect lotion during the summer months though, no doubt!
