Eye Shadow -Chanel - Illusion d'Ombre - Fantasme #81

I really hate this. I am only using it because I paid so much for it. And also because I love the twinkling look you get, until it smudges down my face.... Pros: - Shimmering, beautiful, glittering effect - sheer deposits of shimmer alone as a base - can be applied thicker with the brush provided (or a brush you own.) for a glittering white look for inner corners, as an example Cons: - this severely smudges on me :/ even with TSFI as a primer - Started pulling apart after a few months from the jar, as it is a cream product My liner is usually halfway down my face whenever I use this (it's fine with other MU I wear), and the glimmers fall out as well. Pity, because I loved this for copying that coveted glimmering look the girls from Girls' Generation have in many concerts/music videos.
A scentless tiny tube of glue. It's pretty small, but I've never finished a tube of glue (even though I'm using my lashes almost everyday.) Note: This glue takes time to dry. It's slightly more wet than DUO for example. In comparison to KOJI and dollywink, which dries extremely quickly, the Shu gives you time to have wiggle room, per say, to push the lashes in the proper direction, unless you manage to apply them on properly every time! It dries really nicely as well, as in it really doesn't need that mattifying, darkening layer of liner or shadow atop the dried glue all the time. I do like this, it is my favourite glue for upper lashes. For bottom lashes, I do like the quick drying Koji. But a nice FYI again, not all glues smell! This one is smell-free! :P
I bought this as I was running out of a very expensive Lancome Whitening cleansing foam, and decided to purchase this instead at a local boutique... much cheaper than the Lancome. It seems to be fine on my dehydrated combination skin in both Canada and Asia, nothing out of the ordinary. While it is cheap, it does a painful sting to my eyes. This is the reason why I won't repurchase as there are many many cleansers out there that do not make my eyes weep. It does not do anything so spectactularly special that I would repurchase, other than the fact that it does not break me out.
Sunscreen -Shiseido - ultra sun protection lotion spf 50

I've found it difficult to find many cosmetic or skin-care or suncare due to the fact that I am allergic to Titanium Dioxide, a very popular physical sunscreen. Therefore, I was okay with this formula, which used mostly Zinc Oxide. It is a light formula, and it does stop from burning. (However I am not sure if I reapply enough to stop the tanning...) It is a liquid, and a white one that may cause a slight cast back in flash photography. I found that I looked extremely white in the sun, since 2mg is necessary for every 1mm of skin for suncare to be sufficient, reapplied every few hours if not rubbed off. So I did use this for the past week or two on my trip and I haven't noticed any obnoxious breakouts or anything. I try to remove this properly and it seems to be doing a good enough job for me to repuchase :D
A nice metallic silver, with flecks of gold rather than being straight silver. It is quite glittery, and depending on how you apply polish, you may need several coats. I picked this up on a whim after hearing about it on the boards, in duty free, and I didn't have a base or top coat (gasp) for once in my life. Usually polishes last for a week or two without chipping when I'm at home, but surprisingly, without any base or topcoat, this hasn't chipped on me at all for the week I've been travelling around and lugging around bags and whatnot. Quite impressed!
The red version of the shampoo makes my head itch something furious -- other shampoos from even generic lines don't do this. I have no idea why! The golden head spa oil conditioner works fine on me, but definitely not this! Will discontinue use.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Twisted Peppermint Body Cream

I put this all over my body, and it gives this tingly effect for a few moments and then it dies down. I also love the candied scent, and almost anything mint. It's a pity it's only a Christmas goodie, and I hope they bring it back yearly, because it's been years since I finished a body product this fast. (The shower gel, and this...) Loved this scent for approximately a few seasons and hope to bring it back! x
These have the sharpest, most foul scent when burnt, but if melted or simply smelled, it is fine... It's unfortunate that it's not the same when actually a burning candle! :(
Oh my goodies, a palette from Dior that I don't regret buying, and can somehow incorporate all 5 (if I must!) into one look. I ran into SDM, looking quickly for a palette. It seems that my purchases upon quick to no judgement or preplanning, are good purchases!? I was hesitant upon the medium-toned green on the bottom left, as I usually don't like colors like this but I can mix it in with the top and middle brown/taupes for a subtle sheen of green. The mint green is an absolutely lovely inner corner, which is a "must" for me, at all times. The pink sometimes replaces that for a softer look, but I definitely love 4 out of 5 colors for this palette!
This starts off as a very pleasant, but strong scent. For the night, if you will. It kept reminding me of something, and I couldn't quite pin point on it. Even hours later, when it faded to a very subtle powdery scent..... It finally hit me that it reminds me of SOMETHING from Victoria's Secret, not any scent in particular. It doesn't particularly smell "expensive", if you will, especially when it's a high end scent, however I find that if you like a scent, why does it really matter what brand/cost it is? I enjoy this one a lot for the winter seasons, but I highly doubt I would like it for summers (as I am a very seasonal person.) The bottle is a tad bit atrocious though... As I usually like the hearts, but this one is chunky and gritty!
Hair -Kiehls - Olive Fruit Oil Repairative Hair Pak
Heechul 1/23/2012 5:53:00 PM
Keeping in mind that my hair is extremely dry/damaged, this did not fit the bill as well as my Joico Kpak stuff did! I do not enjoy hair products that cause my hair to feel still damaged right after coming out of the shower, and I also do not enjoy it if my hair becomes extremely greasy within 2 days. With this, it resulted with both. D: I'm not sure how it compares to drugstore conditioners/hair masks as I use neither, but after I finish this (messy of a tub), I will go back to my kPak hydrator. Apparently, we are supposed to keep this in for 20 minutes as well! And it still didn't do as good of a job as my other conditioners that are only leave in for 3-5 minutes... And this is more expensive too so.. ;_;
I'm NC20 in this at the moment, and I haven't used any other MAC products lately so it's hard to say what I am color wise. This is a bit more yellow than my skintone, but I am uncomfortable with the NW as that turns orange on me.. :/ I love the formula of this, it applies on greatly (and I always use a brush) under eyes, on acne, for a nice quick fix. IT isn't horrifyingly dry like some other products I have been using lately, or slippery to the point where it will disappear in a bit. The only thing I dislike about this is that this has the weirdest scent in the concealer ! But it goes away after applied on the skin....
This has a nice scent to it, but that's not why I got this. I got this when I heard good reviews about it on MUA. It did not reach the standards that some MUA reviews mentioned, where it was life saving etc. This, I used as a conditioner (Maybe I'm not supposed to--- but...) I used this without the Deep constructor or whatever, and finished up an entire bottle. This left my hair feeling decent and not like hay, and did NOT grease up my hair after 2 days. That's a big factor for me, as many of those cheaper ended conditioners for me, left me greasy by day 2. I enjoyed this, and I first bought this at $24 from a salon. I did find a pack in Sears for 2 for $10 for Boxing Day, with the constructor (which I find doesn't do much for me) but at that price of $5, woohoo!
This review is for the Daily Care Conditioning Shampoo for normal/dry hair. I bought this at around $20 in SDM, and I'm sure you could find it for cheaper in other places... However! I bought this when the other shampoos in my life that I've been buying for $5 were just no longer cutting it. People recommended me the suave but I can't find it in Canada. I tried this one, and it had a funny bubblegummy scent, however, it did not lather like crazy, it cleansed my hair, without giving me the immediate greasy hair that sometimes happens when shampoos claim to be moisturizing. It did not strip my hair either... I finished the bottle recently, and moved on to one of my backup shampoos (Tsubaki in the red bottle) and I think I like the Joico more. I'll be coming back to this again!
Beautiful colors! I gave into hype way too early with this product, and thought since frmheadtotoe said it was similar to Dior's High Shines, that this would work for me, since Dior high shines are my HG favourite sheer lipsticks.... However, the only thing different is that after an hour or two these give me a tight feeling on my lips and usually end up with me being chapped :/ That is not something I want with any lip product, chapped lips, no thank you. I thought it was perhaps just the cold winter, but with trial and error of reapplication during 8 hour work shifts, I realize it is the lipstick, and not me. I got this in 5 colors, but I did love the pigmentation and colors of Candy Apple, Red Velvet, and Strawberry Shortcake. I also got Berry Smoothie and Sweet Tart which I had identical dupes for colors of with my old dc'd high shines! Great for those who don't peel with this lipstick
