Mascara -Rimmel - Lash Accelerator
HeatherlyBreezes 4/15/2011 3:24:00 PM
I've been using this about a month, and have noticed no change in length or condition of my lashes. I also don't find it to add much length on application. I have it in Extreme Black, and it's without a doubt THE darkest mascara I have ever used, so that may be a plus for you. It's not clumpy, the brush is kinda' harsh I've found, and is a traditional type. I wish there were a "Maybe" option to buy again, as I do like the drama of the color, but the effect is lacking with this one.

Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Eye booster eyeliner + serum
HeatherlyBreezes 4/15/2011 3:17:00 PM
I've been using this for over a month and haven't noticed any change in my lashes, BUT this is a GREAT felt tip eyeliner - the best I've ever used. Stays put all day long without flaking, smudging, or fading. The tip is perfect for tightlining, and it's wide enough at the base to use on it's side for a wider line with great control. $10 is a lot for a drugstore liner, I think, but this one is worth it. If it gives you longer lashes - BONUS!

Conditioner -TRESemme - Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner
HeatherlyBreezes 4/15/2011 3:08:00 PM
I like this a lot, but don't love it, and won't call it HG-worthy. It has a nice texture, great slip. It's a really good detangler, but I don't find it particularly moisturizing or conditioning, but it works for me, and it's silicone free. I would give this a try if you have oily hair but still need detangling or if your hair is very fine and you want to weigh it down. If your hair is processed or just really dry, you probably should look elsewhere. Very reasonably priced at about $4 bucks for 16 oz, I'll buy it again if I don't find something I like more. This reminds me a lot of a former HG for me, Nexxus Humetrectress before they f-d it up with a bunch of silicones and other cheapo ingredients.

Highlighters -Hard Candy - Glow All The Way
HeatherlyBreezes 12/16/2010 10:22:00 AM
I have this in Glamazon Bronze in the gold tube. Thus far I have used it quite sparingly on my cheeks, eyes and collar bone. I've not worn it for more than four hours at a time yet, but it did not cause a break out. It's shimmery and irridescent, but not glittery at all - very subtle sheen. Very reasonably priced, as you need very little, and there is a lot of product in the tube for $8. I would purchase again - and will try this out as a bronzer in the warmer months when a touch more sun looks more natural for me. I think this would very pretty as either an all-over face bronzer added to moisturizer or to add a bit of sheen to the body added to lotion. Edited to add that I have now tried the Doll Face in the pink tube. I like to use the Glamazon to contour cheek bones and Doll Face on the apples - it works really well and is very subtle. I also use UDPP Sin all over my eyelids, Glamazon in the crease, and Doll Face as a highlight on my eyes for a nice, subtle glowly look. Very pleased with this product!

Lips -Sephora - Lush Flush Wine Lip & Cheek Stain
HeatherlyBreezes 12/8/2010 2:00:00 PM
I have this in red wine, and it's a really nice, neutral red. I found this not to be drying and to have better lasting power than the other stains I have tried, although they have all been the marker types; this is the first gel that I have used. I did get the tell-tale extra pigmentation around the rim of my lips with this, but it wasn't too noticible with a sheer gloss over it. I think $12 is a bit expensive for this, but again, it delivers as promised, so I would buy again I didn't test this as a cheek product - just not my thing.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Defining Marker - Blackest Black
HeatherlyBreezes 12/8/2010 1:50:00 PM
This was a fail for me. I was looking for something for tightlining my lash line that would require a bit less precision than the liquid I had been using. This worked great for that the first time - and I mean the very first - the tip was only able to deliver product to one eye. The sides still deliver product, and thus can do a thicker-lined cat-eye for you, but I prefer gels for that. This did stay in place well over Primer Potion and removed easily with soap, water, and a bit of Neutrogena eye makeup remover. I can't complain about the price, especially since I got it BOGO free. Not a bad product, but not the best felt tip I've used either - Prestige beats this hands down. I owe NYC Liquid Eyeliner an apology for looking elsewhere simply for ease of application; I doubt I will stray again unless forced to. :)

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Curly Hair Solutions - Curl Keeper
HeatherlyBreezes 11/2/2010 10:44:00 AM
This does work for me. I resisted trying it for a very long time, but found that I needed to resort to something more to help tame the frizzies and give me a smoother curl. It was Curl Keeper or silicones as far as I could tell, and the Curl Keeper wins for me. It's a little pricey, and I hate that I can't find it in a brick and mortar, as I'm trying to reduce buying the products I use regularly online; I'll buy the liter next time. I use a fair amount of this, but it has lasted awhile for me, as I have a lot of very fine hair, rather than thick. Hopefully in the cooler, less humid months I will need less. This is not a curl enhancer for me and doesn't provide hold, just keeps the frizzies at bay without weighing me down, so not at all a stand alone product in my case. I use this with PM Round Trip and Jessicurl Confident Coils for more curl, and ORS Lock & Twist Gel for hold. Use requires a bit of experimentation, but the videos helped a little. I'll continue to purchase, and I can recommend for anyone that wants to tame frizzies without silicones.

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Eye Makeup Remover Lotion
HeatherlyBreezes 10/13/2010 1:45:00 PM
My fav thus far. I preferred this to liquids. I just place it on the cotton ball - where it does NOT get all absorbed into it, and swiped the waterproof mascara right off my eyes. Not irritating, not a lot of residue left behind, and relatively cheap.

Lips -Palladio - Lip Ink Extra Long Wearing Lip Stain
HeatherlyBreezes 9/10/2010 8:56:00 AM
I have this in Rose; it's not as red as it appears in the pic on the Sally website; a very muted rosy pink. These applies well, is slightly buildable. Not at all moisturizing, in fact a bit drying, and lasts for a couple of hours. I wish it faded more evenly, but that may be due more to the fact that I am a 40-something ex-smoker. It is what it is - nothing spectacular, but I do like it and I would purchase it again unless I find something better. I liked this much better than the Cover Girl, and haven't tried the Revlon or the Mark.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Organic Root Stimulator - Lock & Twist Gel
HeatherlyBreezes 9/10/2010 8:47:00 AM
This stuff rocks! For the record, I am the whitest of white girls with long, wavy (2a) hair that tends to frizz. I love this gel. I took off one lippie for the packaging quality, 'cuz I'm sure lots of people wouldn't like having to dip their fingers into it, but this is too thick to be able to be in a squeeze bottle. Not sticky, doesn't flake, no crunch, helps combat frizz, moisturzing, smells nice, but not at all an overpowering scemt, and cheap as hell. I couldn't tell you how well it works for its' intended purpose, but it's a perfect finishing product for me. Also no silicones. 13 ounces!! for $4 bucks!!! Ingredients Water (Aqua) , Coconut Milk (Cocos Nucifera Extract) , Soybean Oil (Glycine Soja) , PVP , Polyquaternium 37 , Propyl Paraben , Methyl Paraben , DMDM Hydantoin , Propylene Glycol , Fragrance , Sucrose

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
HeatherlyBreezes 7/21/2010 4:07:00 PM
I have used this mascara twice, two weeks apart, and have zero issues with it! I liked the formula of Colossol, but had issues with the packaging and gave up on it. I like this brush better; I think it provides a lot of control. I got good volume and length with this, applied two coats with no clumping, and three wtih minimal. I would definitely repurchase for $5. Do I look like I'm wearing Falsies? Yeah, but I'm a redhead, and my natural lashes are literarlly translucent. YMMV if you're naturally blessed with long, thick, dark lashes. This is definitely not a natural look for me, and I'm happy with the results.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion
HeatherlyBreezes 5/14/2010 2:11:00 PM
WTF? I was hoping for Lash Blast with some lengthening; this does NADA. No problem with clumping after 3 coats, but no real effect either. The best thing about this mascara is that it DOES rinse off with water - but that must be why it flakes off damn near immediately after you put it on. Fail. I rated it 5 for expensive, but it's not worth $1.00, much less $10!

Treatments -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Oil Free Gel AHA 12 1/2
HeatherlyBreezes 4/28/2010 4:47:00 PM
I have been using this for about three weeks, so I'm hoping it's safe to go ahead and review. I like this, and it has worked well for me. I don't feel much of anything at all when I apply this, and I expected to have some flushing as I have rosacea. It does smooth my skin out a little, my breakouts are reduced, and my rosacea has not flared. it adds some moisture. I use another serum on top for added moisture, and will add a drop or two of oil come winter. I hate the packaging. The spatula is just weird and unsanitary, and I see no reason why this cannot be put in a pump, although those make it hard to get all the product out. It's a bit pricey, but not over the top. I'll purchase again, but I'm always looking for new and better skin products. :)

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Last Salon Nail Color - Disturbia 217
HeatherlyBreezes 3/24/2010 4:10:00 PM
Gorgeous, deep blackberry color - definitely purple; doesn't look black at all in any light, no discernible shimmer. It needs two coats to cover and not be streaky, but not three. I had no problems with the brush like the previous reviewer, but I do recommend using the method of loading it and swiping one side clean. I would definitely repurchase if I happened to finish it and all the other eggplant nail polishes I own. Dirt cheap and readily available.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - 424 Black Creme
HeatherlyBreezes 3/24/2010 4:07:00 PM
Best black evah! Completely covers in one coat (even at 75 mph on the interstate!). Cheap, readily available. It is chiptastic if you don't use a base and top coat. Brush is average, but I have no problems with it. Shiny! creme finish. Definite repurchase as a staple forever.
