Lipstick -NARS - Schiap
rated 3 of 5

Why can't there be an unsure or maybe for buying again? I am on the fence. I don't really wear loud lip colors but I am trying to just go for it. I sure did pick a bright color. I wouldn't say neon but I'd say darn bright pink. The Nars description is right it's shocking pink. Nars is usually accurate with their swatches but I don't think this one is even close. It is more like the color swatch they have and not the actual swatch.
the texture is matte but not drying.
I've not worn this color out of the house because I am worried about the reaction because as I mentioned it is bright.
I am thinking of toning it down by blotting and adding a different sheer color on top. For someone that is use to wearing loud colors my description will seem too much to you but for those who only dabble in it or not at all you can understand what I mean when I say it feels a little clown like to me.
I am NW25 in MAC and LLL on the foundation chart.

Lip Gloss -Christian Dior - Addict Lip Gloss- A Lick of Taffy-151
rated 5 of 5
HaileyCosmic 8/28/2007 6:50:00 PM

This is my HG. I can't live without this gloss. It is a girlie sheer pink with a green duochrome. That might sound odd but it is beautiful. I woudn't say this is a universal color at all. I can see it washing out many different skin tones.
The texture is light and not sticky.
Semi ok wear time.
There is a smell to it but it's not really strong. All Dior products to me have a perfume smell. Usually I can not tolerate any type of smell but once I get it on the smell goes away fast.
I am NW25 in MAC and LLL on the foundation chart.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Painterly
rated 4 of 5
HaileyCosmic 8/28/2007 6:44:00 PM

I would give this a 3 1/2 if I could so instead I gave it a 4.
I am not completely sold on the paint pots. The texture is nice and I can get a more even application in less time but I have had creasing. I can use the paint tubes with no creasing. I have very oily lids.
This color is comparable to Bare Canvas. However, I was told by the live MAC chat that Bare study is much closer. For me Bare Canvas is less pale. I never really noticed shimmer in Bare canvas but I guess it has a little where Painterly has none.
I only use paints as a base so I have no idea how this would match up on it's own.
I put that I would buy this again but only if they discontinued the paint tubes
I am NW25 in MAC and LLL on the foundation chart.

Lipstick -NARS - Damage
rated 4 of 5
HaileyCosmic 8/28/2007 6:37:00 PM

This is a wonderful mauve berry color that can go pinkish on some people. Nars describes it as muted grape. That can mean so many different things as the color range of "grape" is pretty wide. It is a muted color so that could be why it washes out some people.
I personally loved the color as I don't wear bright colors on lips often. My only problem was the lack of moisture. It applies nicely but not enough moisture to keep the lipstick on my lips. It didn't dry out my lips.
If you want something in a similar color but leaning more towards the berry go for MAC plumful. Almost exact color but it has more berry to it and it's a lustre so plenty of moisture.
I put that I would buy this color again because after all I did like it and would get again if MAC discontinued plumful.
My coloring varies but I am mostly NW25 in MAC and LLL for the foundation chart.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Gold Spill
rated 3 of 5
HaileyCosmic 8/22/2007 1:58:00 PM

I am still on the fence with this MSF. I got one that has a nice mix of the colors but there is the chunky glitter to deal with. This also happened with my Nothern Light and I replaced it with another that had less glitter. As a large pore gal I don't avoid shimmer but I do avoid glitter. Still, this color is beautiful in the container and when I swatch but it doesn't show up much on my face as a hightlighter. I was thinking it might be nice to use on my shoulders and chest area but I don't dress up that often. I would hate to return it only to see pics and wish I still had one. MAC seems to have made different batches of these and some do not have the chunky glitter. If you can get a smoother one I say go for it. Otherwise it's a pass.

Lip Gloss -MAC - 3D Glass
rated 2 of 5
HaileyCosmic 8/13/2007 3:50:00 PM

Not a fan of the 3D glosses at all. I am a sheer gloss wearer for the most part and these are nice and sheer but after just one smack of the lips together there is no color at all. I don't even get a long wear out of the gloss I as I do with other MAC products. It's really a shame because in the tube the colors are beautiful.

Someone else pointed this out but thought I would mention it as well, the brush is super skinny and does not make application easy.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Northern Light
rated 3 of 5
HaileyCosmic 7/18/2007 5:31:00 PM

I wish there was a maybe option for buying again. I am still on the fence. I disagree with the other reviewer as mine does have chunky shimmer. It's texture is similar to New Vegas and Naked You. It's not as smooth as my Lightscapade. Upon comparing mine to a friend's it seems that for some reason MAC has made this in varying textures and even the colors are different. Her MSF does not have nearly as much chunky shimmer as mine and her color is far more bright coral. The color is a pinky/light coral with tan/brown veins. I sold my Stereo Rose because it went orange on me so when someone compared it to SR I was worried. Due to the high volume of pink this does not turn on me. The chunky shimmer tends to fall off when I apply it but I still keep the color away from the center of my face where I have larger pores. I have to say that either MAC is losing their quality or just did not think this color through because the past MSF collections were outstanding. I couldn't give it a 31/2 so I gave it a 3. It's not bad but not WOW I need more either. Needless to say I am not all that impressed due to the varying coloring and texture. I have included my pic. http://img.makeupalley.com/7/1/7/5/714564.JPG

Lipstick -Revlon - Shiny Sheers
rated 4 of 5
HaileyCosmic 6/10/2007 2:10:00 PM

Some on the boards have said these are similar to MAC Slimshine. Let me just say they are only similar in that both are sheer products. The comparison stops there... I have both (MAC & Revlon) and I personally like the Revlon one much better. MAC's last all of 10 mins on the lips and then my lips feel dry and started to chap. While Revlon's is not completely moisturzing it was so drying that it dried out my lips. I only have only color and it does contain shimmer. The shimmer is not gritty. You get much more product from the Revlon packaging and a better color selection. Now if you want something with a bit more color, better texture, long lasting, moisture, and great scent try L'Oreal colour juice sticks lipstick. For now I am happy with my one Revlon color but I am sure I will be more in future.

Lips -Revlon - Shiny Sheers - Sheer Afterglow 810
rated 4 of 5
HaileyCosmic 6/10/2007 2:04:00 PM

This color is wonderful! It's the perfect glow for my deep medium pink lips. The shimmer is not gritty at all. I really can't image any person not being able to wear this color. It is very sheer. I like this color much better than their gloss by the same name. I can't wait to get more colors! These are not drying but they could be a bit more moisturizing.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Juice Sticks
rated 5 of 5
HaileyCosmic 6/10/2007 1:42:00 PM

The price is really not all that bad. I mean if you are use to buying WnW products sure it's a high step. As for me most of lip products are mid to high end. I was more than happy to finally find a drugstore brand lipstick that suited my needs. I am not much for wearing lipstick and wearing gloss in the summer feels to heavy. These are perfect! I own 4 colors right now but I am going to be buying my 5th one soon. The colors are sheer but not so sheer that you can't even see the color. As a matter of fact only one barely shows up on my deep medium pink lips. When applied it looks more like a shiny lip stain but feels like a balm. You get tons of product for the price and they each smell like their name.

Lipstick -MAC - Slimshine in Bare ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
HaileyCosmic 6/6/2007 1:00:00 PM

I think it must my already dark medium pink lips that makes it look more brown than pink on me. It feels a bit thicker than the TLC's but not by much. I was not impressed at all with how fast it vanished on my lips. To top it all off the amount you get is so small however the packaging is very nice. At least you have less of chance of breaking the stick if dropped. MAC's site describes it as: Slimshine Lipstick, Bare Shade description: Light neutral pink with subtle gold pearl (Frost) I see no gold in it at all and it's more of a pink/brown. I would consider this more on the warm/neutral side.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Sultana of Soap
rated 5 of 5
HaileyCosmic 5/30/2007 5:08:00 PM

Ingredients: Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Dried Apricots (Prunus armeniaca), Dried Currants (Ribes rubrum), Titanium Dioxide, Dried Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon), Olibanum Oil (Boswella Carterii), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate
One of the most moisturizing soaps I have ever used. At first I didn't like the smell. At first it reminded me of incense (which I can't stand) but then after my first use I was hooked. It is this clean smell but not a soapy clean more of a dried flower clean if that even makes sense. Despite all the dried fruit it does not smell like fruit. You need to keep this soap dry while not using or it will vanish fast.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Honey I Washed the Kids soap
rated 4 of 5
HaileyCosmic 5/30/2007 4:58:00 PM

Ingredients: Honey Water (Mel Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, Beeswax (Cera alba), Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Aloe Vera Extract (Aloe barbadensis), Aloe cupensis), Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Titanium Dioxide
I love the smell. It's a light sweet honey smell but the smell does not stay on your skin. I don't get the purpose of the honeycomb thing on the top. It's very rough on my skin. Keep this soap dry otherwise it won't last but a few washes. I can't say it's the most moisturizing soap I've used but it does help heal the skin.

Shampoo -LUSH - Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo
rated 5 of 5
HaileyCosmic 5/30/2007 4:44:00 PM

Ingredients: Irish Stout (Beer), Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocoamide DEA, Lauryl Betaine, Yeast Infusion (Yeast betaglucan), Fresh Lemon Juice (Citrus limonum), Cognac Oil, Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
Lush description: We don't make an organic stout and lemon oil shampoo because we can; we make it because it works. It gives weight, shine and condition to frizzy hair, and keeps fine hair under control and kink free. For control, body and extreme shine.
My thoughts:I LOVE this shampoo. I got it just for the fact that I wanted to all the Lush hair products. I only bought the small bottle and after a week I had to buy the largest size. I love the smell. I thought "uh Cognac and Irish beer oh this is going to be interesting and stinky". The smell is more of a guy type smell but oddly I love it in my hair. I wish they made a conditioner that smelled just like it.
My Hair type: Fine baby hair but I have a full thick head of it. Oily scalp with ends prone to dryness. Light wavy when it is past my shoulders but otherwise it's straight. Virgin hair, not color or had any chemical application.
The effects: It leaves my hair super shiny and the fine hair in control but still with some body to it. No matter what shampoo I use I always follow with a conditioner.

Blush -Stila - Color Push-Up in Pink Flash
rated 4 of 5
HaileyCosmic 5/30/2007 4:33:00 PM

This is a true bubblegum pink color. It's much brighter in the package than it is on the face. My only complaint at all is it can be a bit sticky. That's the only reason I gave it a 4 for the overall rating. This is a wonderful look alive color for me. I am a light skinned gal with red/pink undertones.
This comes in a twist up container and is easy to apply and carry with you if needed.
I was a bit taken back by the small size but then when have I really used up a blush...
I think they have discontinued this color.
