Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)

Coconut oil is not what I expected, I expected it to be very moisturizing/heavy. It's interesting. I purchased Jarrow virgin coconut oil, it smells amazing and it solid when refrigerated and has to be chipped away at. I've been using it as a hair treatment, and unlike other hair treatments which don't actually improve the condition of your hair, this does. It's a pain to wash out, but when used over time, it makes your hair very shiny and silky and makes your hair ends less crunchy. Don't expect immediate results. As for skin....I have hormonal cheek acne and it's been especially bad lately. I put coconut oil on my face and thought, well my skin can't get any worse. This is actually a little drying on my face, I've been putting it on for 20 min after washing my face in the morning/evening and it seems to fade my acne scars a lot and prevent new acne.
GODSEND for my hair So I have lots of fine, stick-straight hair. It is very slick & silky, so it falls flat and is so prone to oil. I have absolutely 0 natural texture. My hair looks pathetic in a bun or ponytail. Enter this product. I use a large dollop, like the size of 1.5 quarters, on my armpit-length hair. I concentrate on the roots and really squeeze/scrunch it in when my hair is wet but not dripping. I don't blow dry my hair. When worn down, this gives my flat straight hair some serious oomph, it makes it look thick and prevents it from being plastered against my scalp. It makes it not shiny, but that can be added back in with another product. Now, I am terrible at curling hair, but for those of you who have straight hair that doesn't hold a curl, this would be wonderful. It gets rid of the slickness and gives your hair grip so that it can actually curl, although you should still probably set it with hairspray. This also makes my hair look much better in a bun, braid, and ponytail. It makes my twerpy little buns look voluminous, it makes my flat ponytails look more energetic, it makes my scrawny braids thicker. And, it doesn't weigh down my hair. And, if you screw your hair up, then just re-wet it and the texturizer still works. It is kind of drying, so don't use it every day. I highly recommend this to my flat-haired comrades.
BEAUTIFUL RED! So I have pale, neutral toned skin (MUFE HD 117) and many reds look screechy on me, with either way too much orange or blue. This is 1 of 2 reds that looks good on me. The other is Jungle Red, which is a coral based, young, summer-y red. This is a Russian spy, vintage movie star red. It is ever-so-slightly blue toned and very rich looking, but not bright or obnoxious. It is just luscious looking. I bet this would work on everyone who can wear reds.
I love NARS lipsticks...but this is so not my color. Looks extremely garish on me. Some brights (such as Jungle Red) look beautiful, but this looks TERRIBLE on me. I am pale with neutral undertones, blue eyes, and light brown hair
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I am still figuring out this foundation. To start with, I have never been able to find a foundation to match my skin. My skin is quite pale with a neutral undertone. Many foundations are too pink or orange. Shade 117 matches my skin perfectly. (If you are shade 117, get shade 4 in the concealer) This is kind of hard to work with. The first time I used it, I hated it. I applied 3 pumps with my fingers, it settled into all my pores and was a cakey mess. The next time I tried it, I used a damp stippling brush to apply 3/4 pump and that was much better. My skin is oily but prone to flakiness, and I have large pores. My skin tone is even with a little redness around my nose, and I have hormonal acne on my cheeks. This lessens the appearance of the hormonal acne, and coupled with the concealer it looks much better. I'm not the best at applying foundation, I'm still experimenting with it and will see if I find a better method. 8-18-12 UPDATE: Upgraded to 5 stars. I found it to work even better with half a pump, really evens out my skin tone. What got it to 5 stars is that I can apply it around my mouth without it going cakey, and it hasn't exacerbated my breakouts. I am still in awe at how exactly it matches my skin.
Mmmmmmmmm I think I have weird chemistry. Many perfumes that work for other people smell nasty and screechy on me. This smells divine. It has a bit of a body odor note for the first few minutes, but then it leaves and I'm left with a creamy, gorgeous scent.
RIP OFF! The argan oil thing is a gimmick. This is a silicone product with a little argan oil, and a hugely jacked up price. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself real argan oil.
Very good deodorant, you know how some leave your armpits smelling grody because you can smell the sweat underneath the deodorant? This doesn't do that. This smells lovely, it smells creamy and soft. And it leave you non-stinky. Even through a muggy NYC summer.
I love perfume, but I am very picky. I don't like fruitiness, I don't like sugariness, I'm not a huge floral fan, but I also don't like spicy scents that much. I love this. I don't know much about notes, but it smells creamy, warm, and maybe a touch floral-y? It stays close to the skin, which I like. Some perfumes smell screechy on me, this smells....natural. Like it fits in with my skin. However....lasting power on this sucks. It's gone in an hour or 2.
For my pale self, this blush is a disaster. For my dark-skinned friends, this blush gives a beautiful healthy glow.
BEAUTIFUL blush I am quite pale & neutral toned. Many blushes look garish on me. This one looks natural and glowy, like I'm not even wearing blush. Desire is too dark on me, and this looks on me how I wanted Desire to look.
I am pale & neutral toned, and most corals/oranges are AWFUL on me. This is beautiful. It looks coral, but in a soft, not harsh way. It has a shiny finish and feels good on the lips. Love it.
The price on this is waaaaaaaay overinflated, you can get the same thing for much cheaper. I am reviewing this because this is the first argan oil I have used. I use it as a hair conditioner. I have lots of straight, fine hair that is easily weighed down. Many conditioners just sit on my hair and weigh it down. Not this. I put 3 drops on my hair at night, then in the morning after shampooing (with no conditioner), I add a drop throughout my hair. This leaves my hair extremely soft & shiny, but it doesn't weight it down at all and leaves volume.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15

This review is for the coral. I LOVE the color. If you are pale and have been wanting to try the coral/orange trend but everything is too orange and looks weird, TRY THIS. It is a beautiful warm medium toned pink with a bit of coral and orange so it has a corally look, but it still has flattering pink tones. It looks great on the lips, some lipsticks highlight lip lines, but this makes your lips look luscious and keeps them moisturized. I like the packaging, it is pretty & hefty, which makes it feel luxurious. Why 4 stars? Well it is very expensive for what it is. The coral color is worth the money, the plain variety, I don't think so. Also, don't put this on chapped lips. It helps to keep already moist lips moisturized, but it doesn't do anything for dryness.
Excellent color & formula. The formula is matte, lightweight, and very long lasting. It's a touch drying and it stains the lips, but it looks amazing on. The color is a bright fuchsia pink, but it has a lightness to it that prevents clown mouth. Schiap looks weird on me, but this looks just right.
