Mascara -Chanel - Mascara Base
rated 4 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 10:53:00 AM

This is one of my favourites both as a a lengthening base, volume up the lashes as well as using it at night time as a treatment serum. Yes! You can use this at night on its own, it contains Vitamin B5 to build up and strengthen lashes. I felt this weights down my lashes. Thus i need to use Fix mascara to "fix" the curl on my lashes before i plump and lengthen with this precious find. It is white color, thus need to be careful to cover up with mascara to prevent the base from peeking out.

Mascara -Chanel - Cils a Cils Lash Building Mascara
rated 3 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 10:41:00 AM

Firstly, Cils a Cils is discontinued when Exceptionel came out as its sucessor. I love the big big brush, and the buildable formula lets you coat layers and layers of the clump-free formula. The down part is you need some longer lashes first as this did not lengthen as much, more volume only. Still on my search for the perfect mascara!

Mascara -Chanel - Sculpting Mascara Extreme Length
rated 3 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 10:30:00 AM

I have a love-hate relationship with Chanel's mascaras. Sculpte Cils has a tiny tiny brush for small short lashes and is able to lengthen the lashes. This did nothing for me, made a mess as the tiny brush could not reach the base of my lashes and when they did, smudged my lash lines. This is not waterproof nor smudgeproof either. My lower lids looked like panda eyes after a couple hours. Will not repurchase... Maybe this works for some but just not me.

Eyeliner -Chanel - LE CRAYON KHOL
rated 5 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 10:23:00 AM

Le Crayon Khol is a semi-soft powdery pencil suitable for the waterline. Comes as a pencil with a Chanel pencil sharpener in the retail box. Texture wise it is soft, easy to glide onto both upper and lower eye lids. Staying power is good for the upper lids but if you tend to have watery eyes, it may not be as long lasting on the lower waterline. Intense as the name depicts, the colour can be varied from lighter smudge of colour to full on intensity by layering drawing over the line several times. Price is reasonable SGD$32 with sharpener. MAC powerpoint costs $25 and is much shorter.

I love this on days i want to have a softer looking eye makeup. Easy to glide on even ontop of eyeshadows, and also use as a base for smoky eyes to create the contouring first then layer eyeshadows ontop for a cleaner, higher definition. Also does not stick to contact lenses when applied to the waterline. I have watery eyes so this did smudge a little but it does not bother me too much.

Noir is nice and intense, I find myself reaching for this more often compared to Stylo Yeux waterproof. To make it last longer and prevent smudging, set it with powder eyeshadow after. Also use this as a "base", for smoky eyes draw your eye contour and shade to fill in the color, after put your eyeshadows on it. The khol base will "grab" onto the shadow and also gives a cleaner, higher definition compared to creating the contours from powder themselves.

It does not look as stark as white penil Blanc 65. Chanel got this spot on! Thank you for listening to our feedback for a softer nude pencil!

Fragrance -Chanel - Allure Homme Sport
rated 5 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 10:07:00 AM

This is my DH daily staple. Even I myself uses this on a hot day when i wanted something more refreshing. This has uplifting citrusy notes as opening to energizes the spirit and a slighty woody base to make it a hint more manly and long lasting. This has a sensual factor to it and developes very differently on individuals. Best to go to the stores to spritz it on and wait for it to develop and see if you like the scent.

Fragrances -Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle
rated 5 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 4:28:00 AM

Coco Mademoiselle is a more playful, younger version of Coco, more light-hearted compared to Coco who is a little bit more mature and serious. Fresh sparkling notes of orange blossoms open this fragrance and the heart of rose and jasmine give it the long lasting edge in combination with sweet vanilla notes. I love the fresh and light scent of the EDT as it is more citrusy than the EDP. I dash of this on and you will feel more vibrant and engergetic to be on the go!

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance Eau Tendre
rated 3 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 4:23:00 AM

My bestie uses this and it developes perfectly on her, a soft feminine floral. But when I sprayed this on me, this is a bit artificially sweet almost saccharine sweet. I do not seem to have much luck with the spin-offs from Chance series. It does remind me of a sea of pink florals, sweet and girly... Not really my cup of tea.

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance Eau Fraiche
rated 3 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 4:19:00 AM

This is a very generic smelling scent, with citrusy notes that waft up your nose. Nothing really outstanding and worst part it is like a cologne, not even an EDT concentration as it hardly lasted more than an hour or so. Quite a disappointment. I was hoping for something that will be more unique and longer lasting.

Fragrances -Chanel - Cristalle
rated 5 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 4:13:00 AM

A burst of fresh florals with a crystalline notes! I love Cristalle as a different approach to floral-based scents. Created in the 1970s, this has been a long-lived classic among the sea of floral-based fragrances that dominate the market. The heart of Cristalle is honeysuckle which imparts a soft sweetness that is far from cloying. The opening of fresh citrus awakens the spirit and the long lasting base makes me keep smelling myslef thru the day. True the EDP is longer lasting but the EDT has a lighter and fresher opening compared to the EDP which is a bit deeper.

Fragrances -Chanel - No.5
rated 5 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 3:39:00 AM

Chanel No 5 is for the woman who wants to be smelled. A woman who is strong and powerful, yet feminine at heart. This is still the world's best selling fragrance even if it is close to a 100 years old! Can't imagine that from 1920s this scent can stay so modern till today it is still so widely accepted. Not many fragrances crafted from the 1920s still exist and selling at this point of time. The heart of May Rose and Jasmine is brought to life with the opening of aldehydic notes. It may smell soapy to some and yet powdery to others. The base of iris (woody) and sandalwood brings about a sensual factor to the scent. The EDP is a joy but the true beauty lies in the Parfum extrait. The scent developes very differently with the Parfum, the scent of roses and iris much more heightened in this concentration. I do not care that many says this is Grannyseque or for the older ladies. A fragrance is an indivdual expression and if the "pants" fits, go for it!

Fragrance -Chanel - Bleu de Chanel
rated 5 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 3:25:00 AM

I was waiting for a new Men's fragrance from Chanel as DH has been using Allure Homme Sport for ages. This is a great change without much deviation from what he will enjoy using. The bottle cap is magnetized to "lock" into place thus without the usual fumbling to cap back the top. The blue color glass bottle is very pleasing to the eyes and makes me dream about ocean and aquatic notes. The fragrance itself has a fresh and citrus opening with a hint of more sensual notes to reveal. Just like a sexy man who will reveal more to yoou as time passes by. The drydown starts to be a bit woody mainly due to the sandalwood and incense. Very manly scent. Cant wait for DH to spray this on and react with the body chemistry to see what it will develope into!

Treatments -Chanel - Sublimage Masque
rated 5 of 5
GabrielleCoCo 9/7/2010 3:17:00 AM

Got this with the Sublimage Fluid and this is much much better performance than the moisturizer it self! A heavy gold glass jar holds the creamy peach-colored cream masque. 50ml cost SGD$280+. In the box, there is a kit with a pearly gold spatula to scoop out the masque as well as a black handled white nylon bristles brush for you to spread this expensive masque onto the face. With the unique Vanilla extracts as well as moisturizing Shea butter as key ingredients, this masque soothed my tired features and gives superb radiance to the skin. Prep with a lotion after cleansing the face, I spread a thickish amount onto the skin adn leave on about 30mins. By the time the masque is absorbed, it is clear colored and i gently massage the excess into the face before rinsing off at the basin. The skin is very soft to the touch and very brightened! Followed with the lotion again to "seal" in the goodness and a night cream follows. The SA shared that if during very dry and cold winter climates that any regular moisturizer cannot do the job, I can use this tick mask as a moisturizer also! Double Duty!
