Lipstick -Christian Dior - Serum De Rouge
FiendGirl138 1/20/2012 10:29:00 AM
I have the nude shade and its quite nice. Very sheer with shimmer. Its a no lipstick lipstick, and can be applied without a mirror. The formula is balm like-smooth and ultra moisturizing. Think shimmery chap stick with a touch of color. Its overpriced but will last a long time. The staying power is decent for what it is, but this isn't by any means long lasting, I have to re apply ever 2 hrs or so. The shimmer stays behind after the color and moisture are gone. It feels wonderful on my dry lips and they feel much more moisturized after I've worn it for a day. The packaging is fabulous, of course, classic Dior blue quilting with silver accents. It clicks when rolled up or down. I like that it can be rolled back down so there's no waste if I accidentally get it too high.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking Mascara
FiendGirl138 1/20/2012 10:14:00 AM
This was a great mascara for about 2 weeks. Then it dried out so bad I had to toss it. The packaging is gorgeous, the formula reminds me of DiorShow but a little thicker maybe. Its very very black which I love. But this is the second YSL mascara I have spurged on and they both seemed to dry out way too fast. I've never had this problem with any other brand so I know its not something I'm doing. Save your money unless you have the luxury to purchase a new one every few weeks. I wish this wasn't the case bc I do love the formula, wand and especially the luxe gold packaging.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Doll Lashes
FiendGirl138 9/6/2011 2:58:00 PM
Let me qualify my review first by saying I have dark, thickish lashes. I tend to love mascaras that will take them to 'false lash' status. I love Diorshow, Benefit They're Real, YSL Faux Cils, Lancome Hypnose Volume. Oh, and Too Faced Size Queen! So yeah, I like drama. This is not that type of mascara. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was definitley a bit more ooph than this provided. That being said, I find myself reaching for this a lot more than I originally thought I would. The brush is nice, it applies the product evenly and it doesn't clump at all. It layers GREAT! Even with three layers, this refuses to clump. Do I like having to apply three layers? No, but for daytime its nice. I also find that going from day to night is fairly easy with this formula because even after it dries, I can add another layer(or two). I think with a name like Doll Lashes, it should deliver more dramatic results, but in general I'm liking it. I had planned to return to Sephora after my initial use but honestly I'm going to keep this as a go to for daytime....girls with lighter, finer lashes will like this formula a lot because it isn't heavy at all. Also stays in place very well!

Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base
FiendGirl138 8/30/2011 12:41:00 PM
Ok, so as a primer-not so much. Its too greasy to be effective on my oily skin. Plus it gives an odd green cast to my face. I honestly would rather spot treat my red patches with concealor. That being said, it didn't irritate or break me out. I like the smell (sorta like pickles) but then again I'm weird like that...... But here's the interesting thing: My toddler is potty training so she wears big girl undies for her naps instead of diapers. Yesterday she had an accident and I didn't realize she was wet until she woke up. By then her bottom was really red from being in her wet undies. Because she only wears diapers at night, we haven't had use for diaper rash cream in awhile so of course I couldn't find a tube. But I did have my Clinique Redness Relief Primer. Dabbed a bit on the rash and it worked like a charm! Redness and irritation totally gone! Normally takes a diaper rash cream a day or two to do what this did in one application (and trust me, I was using it very sparingly). So yay! This won't rot in my bathroom drawer after all :)

Treatments -Kate Somerville - Exfolikate
FiendGirl138 8/16/2011 10:25:00 PM
I have tried every exfoliating product out there to keep my large pores clean. This is the best. Its waaaay expensive ($65) but it takes a tiny bit to make my skin feel like silk. I actually have stopped reaching for my Clarisonic *gasp* since I added this to my regimine. Its the only non Perricone MD product I let anywhere near my super reactive, oily skin. It smells great- very organic and natural. It also looks natural-dark green black color that makes me think of algea- I know that makes it sound awful but its quite nice. I would rather ihave natural colors than dyed products any day! I hate perfum scented face cleansers (I'm talking to you Benefit!) because most fragrances break me out. No problems here, although if I use it too much it tingles a bit. I'm bad about over scrubbing so this keeps me honest. Worth the price, use I tiny bit and you will get your money's worth.

Lipstick -Shiseido - Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer
FiendGirl138 8/16/2011 10:14:00 PM
I have very pigmented lips so I tend to stay with sheer formulas like Dior Addict, Rouge Coco etc. This is my HG! I have the pink color and its just beautiful. Its what I wanted Nars Dolce Vita to be just a throw on, don't really need a mirror, goes with everything, my lips but prettier color. Looove the packaging, it feels so hight end and the price is great. Will nver be with out this again.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Regard Perle
FiendGirl138 8/16/2011 10:01:00 PM
What can I say-Chanel is just the best at putting together beautiful colours. I love this, its my go to for all kinds of looks, day and night. I have the American version and its perfectly pigmented, shimmery but in a subtle classic way.....The forrest green shade is best used as a liner and I layer it on top of my black pencil liner. I personally don't care for it on my lids or crease, but as a liner WOW! This is not a look-at-me quad by any means, its subdued but perfectly so. I just love Chanel in general but this get the most use out of all my quads.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Tipsy
FiendGirl138 5/4/2011 8:44:00 PM
The color is so pretty and I love the smell, but this just doesn't stay on! I've tried under primer, over primer you name it. It gives my cheeks a nice flush for about ten mins...then its gone. I also feel like I'm putting chapstick on my cheeks, and get the feeling its clogging my pores. I think i'll stick with my HourGlass Cheek Stain in Petal for lasting power. For the record, Tarte Cheek Stains seem a bit pricey at first glance but the container is HUGE and I can't imagine someone actually using the entire thing. So if they stay put for you, these are a great value and the colors are very pretty. Maybe good for someone with dry skin??

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Bare Study
FiendGirl138 5/4/2011 8:29:00 PM
I really like this as a base for my matte shadows on days I want a little shimmer from them. I also found a cool trick: mix a dab of UDPP and a dab of Bare Study on my finger tip then tap it over my entire lid- it makes a nice sheer wash that lasts all day, minus the heavy shimmer. It just kind of tones it down a bit and the effect is quite pretty. I love the texture of all the paint pots and this one seems to be a bit creamier which makes it easier to work with than say, Painterly.... Also tons of product for the price!! One of the more versatile Paint Pots, I use it all the time :)

Treatments -Perricone - Cold Plasma - Face
FiendGirl138 5/1/2011 5:17:00 PM
I wanted to add a review because I've read a lot of conflicting reviews about the smell of Cold Plasma. Here's my expierience: I got a sample from a rep at Sephora that lasted about a week. It stunk! It had an odd fishy, chemical smell that I found very unpleasent and gross. But OMG the results were unbelievable! In three days of using it morning and night along with the Face Clear Cleanser and Face Finishing Activator( both of which I have used for a while and love) my skin was much more even and bright and my under eye circles have all but vanished. Really! I also have rosacea in the corner of my nose and chin. In two uses it was compleately gone! I've tried everything imaginable to get rid of the redness and had come to accept that it would always be there. But the Cold Plasma healed both areas. For that reason alone I knew I would buy the full size and just find a way to cope with the smell, but it got better- my dark circles lightened and my skin just took on this radiance and clarity that I have never had before. My mom and husband even commented on how good my skin looked and that was all in one week!! So I ordered the full size jar(and one for my mom for Mothers Day) and there is NO SMELL WHATSOEVER in either of our full size jars. I can only guess that some batches smell stronger than others, or something about the production of the samples makes them stink?? I had warned my mom of the smell and told her the results would justify the stench(which they totally would!) But happily it wasn't an issue. My only complaint is that its packaged in a glass jar and I wish it was in a pump for sanitary reasons. I do use the plastic dip spoon that's included but a pump would be soooo much better. Bottom line-CP works and then some, no odor in the full sized jar, and I will never be without this again. Its my miracle product! My face looks better than it has in years. I'm only 30 but have had trouble skin since puberty...love love love the results I'm getting and will continue to use even if I get a stinky batch in the future. Can't say enough about how quickly and dramatically my skin has improved! TRY IT!

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Iconic Extreme (Waterproof)
FiendGirl138 5/1/2011 4:32:00 PM
Ok, first of all I looove this mascara! But I use it as a basecoat UNDER other formulas. Its very black, and the formula is quite slick and thin compared to other DiorShow mascaras. It has a plastic spiney brush which is great for separation w/o clumps. I generally don't use it alone even for daytime because its so black. And its a bit expensive for a product that's essentially just a base- so it only gets a 4 rating. That being said, its amazing what a layer of Iconic will do under my other mascaras when I want full on drama. It thickens, lenghtens, volumizes, darkens and increases the staying power of every single brand I've used it under! Plus, it keeps my thicker formulas from clumping up because instead of having to do multiple coats, I just do a quick swipe of Iconic and a quick swipe of the thicker stuff (right now its Lancome Hypnose Volume, YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils or Too Faced Size Queen- all of which start to clump when I do multiple coats). Voila! Quick, clump free DRAMATIC lashes. Will not be without this even though its pricey b/c I can use less of my other brands and it also takes very little of the Iconic to get the job done. So for that reason its a good value for me.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
FiendGirl138 3/12/2011 7:54:00 PM
I can sum up my issues with my pores quite simply-too large, don't like. I will try anything that claims to minimize them(yes, yes, nothing REALLY makes them smaller- but I digress...) So when I picked up this rather tiny tube of product, my first instinct was that I would be yet again wasting money on something that doesn't deliver....happily I was wrong! It truely blends my large pores almost away. I use it over moisturizer but under my allover primer. This is not designed to be used over the entire face but rather tapped into pores where needed. I use my finger and lightly TAP TAP TAP(no rubbing!)then poof! Pores appear much smaller! The $28 price is totally worth it even though it doesn't do much for controling oil as the package claims. I will forgive b/c I have a mattifying lotion that I love(Dr Brandts Anti Aging).

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Perfect Brow Pencil in Brunette
FiendGirl138 3/12/2011 7:21:00 PM
I love this pencil! I have almost black eyebrows and fair to med skin. Because my brows are so dark a lot of pencils are either too dark and ashy or too light and warm. This one is perfect. It stays on all day even though my skin is a bit oily, the color is narural and smooth. I can smudge it with my finger to soften but then once it sets, its on all day. I have tried sooo many brow pencils, pens, markers, pots of color, you name it. This is officially my HG!

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
FiendGirl138 3/11/2011 8:42:00 PM
Can I just add that I don't know what I did before I purchased my Mia! I use the brush for sensitive skin and my face has never looked better. Seriously worth the price! Easy to use, charge, clean. If you are even THINKING about buying one-do it. Believe the hype!! You will not be disappointed and your skin will thank you. And thank you and thank you......

Treatments -Dr. Brandt - pores no more anti-aging mattifying lotion
FiendGirl138 3/11/2011 8:31:00 PM
This is my HG mattifier and I've tried them all. It feels great going on and doesn't make my skin feel tight like a lot of mattifiers. And the best part: It truely controls oil ALL DAY! I use Retin A so even though my skin is oily, I get flakey dry patches. This is the only thing I have used that doesn't make dry patches worse. Don't know how it does it but I'm sooooo glad it does!!
