Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass in Love Nectar
Fawne84 12/15/2005 7:07:00 PM
While I loved the texture of this as well as the brush applicator, I can't really say this met up to my expectations. It's simply not pigmented enough to show up as more than a very sheer gloss with fine gold glitter. I think I would like this if it was a bit more of a pale peach on my lips. Instead, it looked orange on me for some reason.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Kitten
Fawne84 12/15/2005 7:03:00 PM
Kitten is a pigmented shimmery nude that is very versatile in my opinion. I usually wear it as a sheer wash because I can see this looking too frosty if not applied with a light hand. Because it's basically a nude shimmer, it can be used on any skin tones! I will definitely buy this again when I run out.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Tipsy
Fawne84 12/15/2005 2:27:00 PM
I wish that this gave me the "peaches and cream" look that someone else described, but this showed up as a sheer bright red on me. I love the idea of cheekstains but I just did not like this color. I guess a large part of the reason I purchased this was for the scent--it's absolutely yummy! I just wished this showed up more peachy on me :-(.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara Waterproof
Fawne84 12/15/2005 11:51:00 AM
This is the only mascara I've tried that actually does what it's supposed to. It definitely gives my lashes a lot of volume and thickness, but I wish there was a mascara that lengthens as well. Another thing that I agree with other reviewers on is that the tube doesn't last very long for some reason. It dries out pretty quickly. Overall, I love this mascara and will keep buying it unless I find something that lengthens in addition to voluminizing and thickening.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Georgia ] ] [DISCONTINUED]

When I first applied it, the color didn't show up on my NC25 skin. However, I finally decided to use the brush it came with instead of my own and it instantly made a difference. I think that the stiffness of the brush really helped in picking up more pigment. I think I read the same thing in another review, so if you have trouble getting this to show up, maybe try using the brush.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose
Fawne84 12/8/2005 11:14:00 PM
Although this mascara was pretty decent, it was not good enough for how much it costs. It gave me some volume and a little bit of length, but for spending $22 on a mascara, I'd expect a miracle product! Maybe I will try the waterproof one and see if that works better--waterproof mascars tend to work better on me for some reason.

Highlighters -NARS - The Multiple in South Beach
Fawne84 12/8/2005 11:04:00 PM
South Beach is a shimmery bronze with maybe a hint of peach on my light, yellow-toned skin (MAC C2). I always apply with a very light hand because I don't like a lot of color on my cheeks and this product gives me a very healthy glow. I haven't noticed the glitter chunks that some people mentioned but that could be because I only use a small amount at a time. The reason I couldn't give it five lippies is the outrageous price tag. You do get a fair amount of product, but not enough to justify spending $36. I do, however, really want to try Mustique so I may buy it as a splurge in the future.

Liquid -MAC - Face and Body Foundation
Fawne84 12/8/2005 10:53:00 PM
In addition to Sephora's all over skin foundation (old formula), this is my HG. The consistency is runny but it makes that makes it easier to blend IMO. The coverage is sheer but it can be layered on without looking cakey or fake. I never use concealer because this is definitely enough to even out any redness I may have. I do agree that it can be somewhat dewy (or oily for some) but a light dusting of loose powder will fix that. Personally, really matte foundations sometimes tend to look a little chalky on me so I love the natural finish this gives. I use the shade C2 and it is a perfect match for my light yellow toned skin.

Bronzers -Sugar Cosmetics - Tropic Tan [DISCONTINUED]

I had been wanting this sooo badly until I was in Sephora today. My lemming was killed right on the spot. Although the texture was really smooth and you get a lot of bang for your buck, this color was absolutely HORRIBLE on me (even with a light hand). Even under the extremely yellow lights in Sephora, this looked really fake (orange-y and red). However, this may be better for people who want a bit of a reddish undertone in a bronzer. But on my light asian skin, it just looked awful. I did give this 3 lippies though because it was very pigmented and I loved the texture.

Palettes -Stila - Perfectly Peach Palette (Fall 2005)
Fawne84 10/26/2005 6:41:00 PM
I love this palette! The eyeshadows were very pigmented and the blush was a beautiful peachy-nude color. I love peach eyeshadows but I found my favorite in this palette! It is the middle, shimmery one--absolutely gorgeous! Now i'm wondering if Stila has a color like this in their regular line.

I absolutely love this lipstick! It's a slightly frosty peachy pink w/beige and sparkles--I think it'd look good on just about anyone. Definitely one of my favorites!

Lips -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Tinted Lip Balm #10 Glow [DISCONTINUED]
Fawne84 7/7/2005 3:13:00 PM
Pros: GORGEOUS peachy color, long lasting, great texture, and very moisturizing--definitely my favorite lip balm thus far!
Cons: Price. For a drugstore product (esp a lip balm), I think this is overpriced. However, I will probably repurchase as I have not found anything better. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No

This has the cutest packaging and smells great in the jar, but once applied, it smelled absolutely AWFUL! My boyfriend even told me it smelled "burnt!" Even though it was on sale for $4.50, I still returned it because it really was *that* bad.

Liquid -Sephora - All Over Skin Liquid Foundation
Fawne84 5/28/2005 6:07:00 PM
My absolute HG! My skin looks absolutely flawless when I'm wearing this. Even though it's supposed to provide only a light coverage, it's definitely enough to even out any redness or minor flaws. The consistency is also very smooth and blendable (the best I've ever used!) and leaves a dewy and natural finish on my normal skin. It doesn't look cakey or masklike in the least! I have D20 and it matches my NC25ish skin perfectly. At first I was afraid it would be too light but it blends in seamlessly and dries darker than when it initially comes out of the pump. Just be careful because the pump does get a little out of control and will squirt everywhere if you're not careful. The price is also very reasonable at $18, which is a lot cheaper compared to many other higher end brands. I absolutely cannot rave enough about this!
Update: Although I still love this foundation, it's become one of my TWO favorites (haha). I also recommend MAC Face and Body in addition to this! Was this review helpful to you? Yes No
