Misc Beauty Tools -MAC - Brush Cleanser

This brush cleaner did not work well at all for me. My brushes never got really clean, especially the taklon ones...I could never get all the lipstick out of my lip brush. It also contains too much alcohol which is very drying for brushes. If you are looking for clean, soft brushes use something else...Johnson's Head to Toe works MUCH better than this.

Pressed Powders -Estee Lauder - Lucidity Translucent Pressed Powder

This is my favorite powder! Goes on smoothly and doesn't look flaky like most powders tend to do on my dry skin. I wear this in the shade "Transparant" which doesn't deposit any color on my skin. I'm glad that there isn't an extra space for the sponge...I use a brush to apply powder and toss the sponge...having an extra space would make the sleek blue compact too bulky (imo). I used to use EL a lot in my 80's youth and strayed away when the younger, "hipper" lines began appearing. I am happily finding that this line still has some nice products especially for skin that is on the dry side like mine.

Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Travel Foundation Brush #312
rated 5 of 5

I received the travel foundation brush in a swap and I must say that it is wonderful! The handle is shorter (brush measures 5" bottom to top) than the full size version but for me that is an advantage. The brush head itself is the same great quality as its full sized counterpart. I keep this in my purse for foundation touch ups. I must get more of these! Wish there was an ULTA in MA!! I don't see these on the ULTA web site...

The individual travel size brushes are not the same as the travel set that yunity mentions below. The individual travel (shorter, silver handle) brushes are the same quality (squirrel, sable, etc.) as the larger brushes. The travel set is different (pony/blend, $29) and may very well be of lower quality. I received the travel foundation brush in a swap and I must say that it is wonderful! The handle is shorter (brush measures 5" bottom to top) than the full size version but for me that is an advantage. The brush head itself is the same great quality as its full sized counterpart. Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Blush Brush #324

After buying the Japonesque 9 piece brush and really liking it, I ordered this brush from Naimies a few months ago and paid full price ($34) for it.

I have no access to Ulta B&M stores, and at the time I was looking, Japonesque brushes were not available on the ulta.com web site. They are now (it figures!) and are usually on sale.

It has become my favorite blush brush. Just the right size for applying blush to my cheeks. It is made from squirrel hair and is so soft! The brush head is not as large as some. If you like really large blush brushes then this might not work for you. I love it though!

This brush is made from super soft squirrel hair. Deposits eyeshadow precisely and beautifully. The softness of the bristles makes applying darker colors a breeze. I have four of these. One of my favorite Japonesque brushes!

Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Eye Detailer/Powder Liner #215

I use this brush exclusively for lining now. I have tried the MAC 266, Prescriptives and Philosophy eyelining brushes and I like this one much better. I find the bristles are a little "stiffer", not hard but easier to control than the softer bristles of the others I've tried. Nice brush!

Wonderful lip brush with a cover. I have two of these. One for my vanity and one for my purse. Love it! Wonderful shape to the taklon bristles. Not too big and not too small, just right! It applies lipstick much better than the covered MAC 316 that I swapped away.

I totally agree with gail_san. This brush is wonderful for applying concealer under the eye. I also use it to spread my Almay Amazing Lasting Concealer on the lid as an eye base. Gives total control. Great brush!

I received this brush in a swap and it is excellent quality. I believe it retails for $15 at Ulta. It's wonderful for applying my Aquasmooth and Laura Mercier foundations. No streaks. Recommend this!

I also have the 9 piece brush set. The brushes are all excellent. Soft and luxurious. No shedding whatsoever. My Chanel brushes couldn't compete with these and I got rid of them! I love them!

Palettes -MAC - Nordstrom Face x8 Palette 2002

The colors in the palette are so pretty! The only one I couldn't get to work for me is the Margin blush (much too warm). Found a new favorite eye shadow in Sable! I keep this one in my purse. I hope MAC comes out with more of these smaller palettes. Great deal!

I tried to like this palette. The colors are really pretty but they were too warm for my cool complexion. I sold this on ebay. Very nice palette though

Another nice blush from MAC. This was my staple until MAC came out with Well Dressed. It's a medium pink on me with with just a hint of warmth. Very pretty!
