My HG mascara, I wear this on special occasions when I want to look really HOT! Lashes look long and thick, consitency out of the tube is fantastic, dry time is perfect, and I am a contact lens wearer so I have to be really careful--some mascaras actually HURT and STING when they flake off into my contacts and the flake has to be removed immediately--this one I can't feel at all if a stray flake accidentally lands in my eye. It hardly ever flakes by the way- in my opinion it is the best mascara out there. I have not tried the waterproof Defincils, this stays on so well I haven't needed to buy the waterproof version yet. Expensive, but worth it.

Shampoo -Aveda - Blue Malva Shampoo & Conditioner

I like this shampoo overall, although it my opinion you have to use a lot of product since it doesn't lather/spread well. That is ok, though, since most lathering agents are harmful to hair. I use it every 3 shampoos, on other days I use Matrix Amplify color XL, which gives great body and also protects color. My combination seems to be working well, my brassiness is minimized and hair is soft and pretty. I don't use the conditioner, so I can't review that.

Eye Primer -L'Oreal - De-crease Eyeshadow base

This really helps eyeshadow stay on- even better than much more expensive Lancome eye shadow base, which I found did not work at all. The wand is a little strange, I find myself poking at my eyelids to smear it on, then patting and pulling, which CANNOT be good since I'm probably being too rough on my poor eyelids. But once the product is on, eyeshaow goes on smoothly with minimal to no touchups needed in an 8 hour day.

Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer

I had a makeover in Las Vegas using Laura Mercier products, and the makeup artist used this foundation primer. I felt obligated to buy something, and thankfully had enough sense to buy this and a concealer out of all the products she used on my face. I noticed that my foundation did not budge all day, even in hot Las Vegas. After a long day I returned to my hotel room and went to bed, and let me tell you that my makeup still looked beautiful the next day when I woke up!!!! (Comes in handy for party girls in hot cities). That was a year ago, and I live in the desert of El Paso, TX- another very hot, dry city where makeup can slide off your face. I am now on my 2nd tube of this primer. It is a clear, liquid/gel type substance full of botanicals and it makes my foundation (any foundation) go on smoothly, and STAY ON until you wash it off. (Have no trouble washing it off at all). It's almost as if you don't think it is doing anything, but you really notice when you are NOT wearing it, because you need to touch up throughout the day when you're not.

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze

My new HG self tanner- beautiful color immediately so you can see where you've applied it, but it deepens over a few hours. Looks very natural, and leaves a lovely subtle shimmer/glitter as well. Feels as if it is moisturizing too. The smell is very pleasant initially, not self tannerish at all. After a few hours you might be able to catch a whiff or two of the usual self tanner smell, although not NEARLY as bad as others I've tried (and I have tried them all!) If I could change anything at all about it I would make it a longer lasting tan- on me it seems to last max 2 days (about 2-3 showers).

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

I must have bought the wrong color (I know that is not supposed to happen, that is the point of this foundation, right?) but on me it is very visible, going on almost chalky and streaky, even after blending with a sponge, fingers, etc. It just will not sit right on my skin for some reason. I will not repurchase, I hesitate use it even as a backup foundation, when I run out of my favorite Prescriptives. Good thing I bought it at a buy one get one free sale with my friend, I think she did like hers however.

Scrubs -Derma E - Microdermabrasion Scrub

A wonderful scrub, the beads are just the right size, and only a tiny bit is needed for a great exfoliation. Smells great, I kept wanting to add more just because it smelled so good. Leaves skin really soft. I will definitely repurchase when it runs out.

Moisturizers -Olay - Total Effects Moisturizing UV Formula

I think this is a great moisturizer. I first bought this after I noticed my mother looking much younger than she did literally 10 years ago! Her pores, which I always remember as enlarged, were much less visible. Her skin is now virtually wrinkle free. (She is 58) I asked her what she was using, and it was this Oil of Olay Total Effects, so I went out and bought myself some. I am 32 (people usually think I am 25-26), and have had great results- I don't think I have aged at all in the past year.

Moisturizers -Avon - Avon Retroactive Age Reversal Cream

Very light gel cream, feels cool and soothing on the skin. I have not seen any noticable difference in skin discolorations, works ok on wrinkles, but it is a nice base for under makeup, and it feels so good. It could be a bit more moisturizing, great for sensitive skin. Smells nice.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Oil Slick Eyeshadow

The way to use this so that it doesn't budge or crease all night is with Visine. Put a drop of Visine in your hand, lightly dip your eyeshadow brush in it, then dip it in your Oil Slick and apply. It will stay put, and look beautiful and sparkly as intended, without migrating to under your eyes or to other parts of your face.

Hair -Rusk - Shining

Absolutely weightless, very fine mist. 2 or 3 squirts is all I need for my dry, highlighted, long hair. Gives a very nice finish on those days when your hair is done but needs a little shine, over light hold hair spray.

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole (Original) [DISCONTINUED]

I first bought this foundation a year and a half ago. The salesgirl must have been on drugs because the second I brought the foundation home I realized the color she had chosen for my skin was WAY too dark and chalky for my skin. Unfortunately, I had purchased it in a store that did not exist in my hometown so I couldn't return it, and I hated to give it away or throw it away because it is so expensive. I am so glad I didn't, because just recently I bought a pearl colored all over shimmer cream from Maybelline and decided to pour it into my bottle, and now it is perfect! Still lasts all day, but now has a beautiful shimmer to it, and the color (the pearl color made it much lighter) now matches beautifully. I will definitely buy again, perhaps in a color that actually matches my skin!
