Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking Mascara
ChloeYoung 12/31/2012 11:02:00 PM
Tried this out as a deluxe sample from Sephora and fell in love with it instantly. I got the regular black of course, wearing a pop lash color everyday would be weird. The little twist in the wand is what works the magic, it lengthens and adds a noticeable volume. Holds the curl throughout the day, though it's not waterproof, it doesn't smudge anyhow. It's everything I've hoped for from a mascara except for the price point . I got the full size at Saks recently and I'll probably keep using it till I find sth better.
Styling Products -Bumble & Bumble - Styling Lotion

Don't know what it does exactly so I just use it as a styling prep, before blow-dry or ironing. It does give more vividness to my dyed color, and creates a bit more volume. Which is good enough for sth with such a general name. I tend to use it everyday and maybe I'll buy a next bottle when I run out.
Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
ChloeYoung 12/31/2012 10:52:00 PM
It really works on my extremely dry fingers suffering from detergents. I use it every night before sleep, allow the thick ointment to work into my skin and cuticles. The next day I would wake up with baby soft hands. Love it. The lemon smell could be a little disturbing at first coz the resemblance to lemon-scented air fresheners, but I to used to it soon.
Just the right amount of moisture I need: enough to soothe my dry patches, not too much that it would refrain me from drinking water from a mug. Like the strawberry smell and barely detectable color.
Eye Shadow -Yves Saint Laurent - pure chromatics eyeshadow quad
ChloeYoung 12/16/2012 12:20:00 PM
Unique texture as can be infered from the name, chromatic shine while smooth as satin eyeshadows. When used wet(with the little rubber applicator inside), it is easy to achieve full intensity. Can't say enough about this product. The technology behind is worth the $59( you only get 5g though). Got this in shade 6, will keep hunting other shades
Eye Shadow -Tom Ford - eye color quad #01 golden mink

Most expensive eyeshadow I've ever bought(by the piece). The luxury and performance you get is ddefintely worth the splurge, if you like glitters. There is no other brand on the market that make better glitter shade(compact eyeshadow) than Tom Ford. It feels silky smooth when gliding my fingers over the pan. The particles are so small while extremely shiny. Not that kind of chunky glitter you get from loose pigments. Considering the amount of product you get, it lasts an entire life. I would 100% recommend it as an investment.
Looks gorgeous in the tube, the perfect MLBB shade you can hope for. but it is way to0 sheer to build up any color even on pale lips, unless you apply over and over again till it's too glossy. I like the packaging, hefty glass and square tube. The applicator is too small, I have to re-dip twice to cover my lips. which are very thin in the first place. Glad there is no discernible smell or taste, cos they can turn out to be repulsive sometimes. I will continue to use it as a balm-gloss. But wouldn't repurchase. FYI, not the entire line has poor performance like this one does. the gloss in shade Cameo is very pretty, and has the normal consistency of a lip gloss.
I bought the base and top coat at Sephora. $10/10ml is not the best of p/c you can get on the market. In the first two month I have nothing to complain about the team, fulfills all I can ask for from top and base coats. But in the third month, when I have half bottle left of both, They start to thicken, really a pain to use. My polish would peel off in sheets in the 2nd of application. Half a bottle would just go wasted. Such a shame, wouldn't buy again. Now I am using Essie's first base, hopefully it won't disappoint me.
Conditioner -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Biotin B-Complex Thickening

Doesn't moisture very well for my extremely dry hair and scalp. But the good side is it doesn't hurt my hair and cause fallout. The ingredients are mostly organic. But for the price point, it's not worth purchasing again. There are many natural hair products that cost less.
The color is really pretty. The consistency is the the sheer side but 2 layers would look perfect. $14 for a nail polish is a little pricey. The color is hard to find a dupe though
Received it as gift from sephora.deluxe sample size. It goes on great ( seperate long lashes while holds the curl)but smudges! What a shame. Good thing is I am not buying the full size anyhow.
Liquid -By Terry - Cover Expert Perfecting Fluid Foundation
ChloeYoung 11/18/2012 8:21:00 PM
Really a splurge. but it was worth it. The cverage is not as good as it claims but the finish is quite natural---doesn't look like a heavy duty fooundation at all. it really is velvety, matte while silky. And for my super dry sensitive skin, it lasts all day long without drying or irritating my skin. Love it, except for the cheap tube packaging. I am wearing shade1, which is slightly lighter than my skin tone, but it looks pretty natural in winter.
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
ChloeYoung 11/14/2012 7:33:00 PM
Best eyeliner ever, great consistency, super water/crease proof. and the price is pretty fair cmpared to other brands or eyeliner pencils.A small jar can run for a year at least.
The lid is ridiculously long to begin with, though some people find it stylish. I have these in shade 1 and 4, 1 is the lightest with pink undertones, and 4 with yellow undertones, but I have to mix them together to create a perfect match. It claims to be a moisturizing foundation, and it applies like a moisturizer(the consistency is close to a gel moisturizer) but the result is not so pleasing---it emphazes the dry pathches, and the worst part is, it never dries down. So I am left with a tacky-feeling face after putting my foundation on ,and it's not fun. the coverage is moderate. the smell is good, flowery and soft. But that doesn't make up for the fact that this is a failure. there's a lot of high-end foundations better than this one. So think twice before you buy this one
it's just a conditioner that give you a full amout of vanilla smell. it's not moisturizing, not protecting, just smells good. Actually it makes my hair even drier than un-conditioned. The drieness gives you the volume when blow-dried. the price is not attractive, 10 dollars for a 100ml, not worth it, even if it claims to be natural and handmade.
