Blush -MAC - Gel Stain in Subtropical
rated 5 of 5
Casii 5/27/2003 9:41:00 AM

I ordered this after all the MUA raves. Once I got it, the color in the tube scared me a bit, but putting my trust in MUA I tried it and you all were right! A natural sheer flush of pink that looks healthy. Wonderful for the light looks of summer. This one will definitely be travelling with me for vacation.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip Glaze Palette - The Pinks
rated 5 of 5
Casii 5/17/2003 10:58:00 PM

I started out buying one of these as a gift for my sister and upon receiving it, thought I might need to give myself a little treat since it was so darn cute. The glosses are great and twice the product you'd get with a lipglaze pen. I feel like I can control the application better than a lipglaze pen as well. The colors make me look healthy & glowing without being frosty.

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color
rated 5 of 5
Casii 4/14/2003 2:11:00 PM

This is my "I have one minute to attempt to look alive rather than one of the undead" staple. Warms up my whole face with a sun-kissed glow. Looks scary in the pot, almost an orangey-brick red, but goes on wonderfully when used with a light hand to perk up your whole complexion. I'll also use it lightly to highlight the eyes; it brings out the gold in them. Great dipped in lip balm for a warm lipcolor.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Down With The Love Trio
rated 4 of 5
Casii 4/2/2003 3:55:00 PM

I bought one for myself and liked it so much I order duplicates for my sisters birthdays this month. The shades are almost universal and feed into the need for Stila without emptying my pocketbook. Blush gives a warm flush without being glowy and the eyeshadows work with just about everything.

Great shade in the same vein as Lovechild! Another staple to drop in the purse for continual use.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Chocolate Lip Glaze
rated 4 of 5
Casii 3/28/2003 5:23:00 PM

I would buy this product again (as long as it was included in a set)! Really my first experience with a lipglaze and while I like it, with every applications I find myself saying "This use was $2." I thought about straining it through a screen goldminer style to see if I could find some precious metal in it or mounting it on a custom stand as a collector's item. Unfortunately, until Stila either gives out more product or something like this comes in a set again, I'll pass.

Mascara -Max Factor - Stretch & Separate Mascara
rated 5 of 5
Casii 3/28/2003 5:15:00 PM

I just hate rushing to unclump lashes that are quickly cementing into spider-lashes, don't you? And that didn't happen with this mascara. No clumping, no stiffness, no flaking or smudging thus far. Separates nicely and does add a bit of length. I've become a bit of a make-up snob (thanks to all you MUA-ers!), but this stuff was worth my lunch money.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Sweet Dreams
rated 4 of 5
Casii 3/11/2003 2:50:00 PM

Champagne peachy pink on me that looks great! Pricey, but considering I could've blown $20 on a so-so dinner to reward myself or $20 on a completely wearable gloss; I'm proud to say I chose the gloss.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Mediteranee Duo
rated 4 of 5
Casii 3/11/2003 2:45:00 PM

I must've had Nars fever at Neimans because I didn't even try this duo on, I just had to have it. When it finally came to application time, I watched the shimmery coral/orange color go on and started saying, "No way will this work..." So, I blended the other color back over top of the orange bits, said 'what the hell' and went ahead to line and mascara; stepped back and whoa, gorgeous tropical, smoky eyes (if those exist). Made my brown eyes look as though they were about to devour some hapless naked man dipped in chocolate.

Blush -NARS - Torrid
rated 5 of 5
Casii 3/11/2003 2:36:00 PM

Dead sexy. I walked out into the snow flurries for lunch and felt like a fish out of water with my Torrid-flushed cheeks giving off heat. I tend to tan a bit in the summer (even with scads of sunscreen on), so this will be a wonderful shade for me once the warm weather starts cranking out.

Fragrances -Michael Kors - Michael
rated 4 of 5
Casii 2/12/2003 9:56:00 AM

Yes, I might buy this again when I finally run out (10 yrs maybe). It's definitely dramatic, I'll say that, but some days I have to be dramatic. However even on those days, I'll spray it once and then walk through it. I do love it though. It's one of those love it or hate it fragrances. Whatever floats my boat and on days when I was a luxury cruise, this is my choice.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dandelion
rated 4 of 5
Casii 2/12/2003 9:49:00 AM

I love it I have to say, but I wouldn't buy it again at this point. Maybe when I find myself scraping the bottom of the box, I'll think otherwise, but I rarely get to the bottom of any make up purchase. Lovely light pink flushed glow on me, not made up at all. Adorable packaging; several people have carried it out of my bathroom to ask what it is. But Holy Cripes Batgirl! $26?!? Is there gold dust in it? I'll likely have moved on to another 'must-have.'

Palettes -Stila - Spring Lip/Cheek Duo (gloss.com exclusive)
rated 4 of 5
Casii 2/10/2003 10:42:00 AM

Why, oh why, can't I resist? This teeny, tiny compact could've easily been passed up by most sane people at $25, but I had to try it. If it hadn't been right on top of the box it came in I might never have found it; it's so small! Don't care for the cardboard cover much, it'll go downhill fast with even sporadic use. But the colors were a pleasant suprise. The CC perked up my winter blah cheeks to give me a healthy flush. The gloss was deceptive in the compact, but flashes a pretty pink and gold; great for sheer lips or over other lipsticks. Combine the 2 and you can play with other looks. I wouldn't buy a replacement though. This is a fun "I'm worth it!" gift to myself. Not a staple.

Lipstick -Bare Escentuals - Lip Palette
rated 4 of 5
Casii 10/18/2002 9:58:00 PM

I snapped up this palette because I really liked the colors and the portability. I have darkly pigmented lips and these rosy browns/nudes work on me. Plus they don't dry me out.

Palettes -Urban Decay - Gypsy Den Face Case
rated 5 of 5
Casii 10/18/2002 9:54:00 PM

My lemming caved in and got this. I've always had a thing for the gypsy look and this is a funhouse of color to create lots of different gypsy looks! Very street wearable too. Portable is a plus in my book. Whipping out cute palettes or glosses is a little vanity of mine.
