OMG, this stuff is awful!! It left my face feeling and LOOKING parched and after a couple uses I noticed I felt itchiness on my face and was irritated/broken out worse!! I'm not 100% sure what it could be exactly b/c it might be something like the sulfate detergents or it could be the awful urea preservative in this, but either way I'm switching to something else.

Yuck, this left my hair dry like straw and frizzy!! And I hate the coconut sunscreen smell it leaves behind....what a waste of money, now this is just going to be used up as a shave cream because it seems pointless to use in hair whatsoever.

Really wanted to love this because it is aimed at rosacea/sensitive/acne-prone skin, which all of the above totally apply to me. However, all this ended up being is my last resort trial of something with titanium dioxide, which conclusively made me finalize that I cannot use things with it because whether in mineral powder form or liquid makeup form, I end up with a rash of pimple-like things all over my face. My mother kept asking what I did different b/c my skin looked awful and I claimed that the bumps were flattened down but it was acne marks that were left behind b/c that is what I honestly believed. But then I recalled my allergist mentioning something about how she realized she was allergic to titanium dioxide, so now I know it's actually not the mica in mineral makeup that my skin can't handle. This did give good coverage though in my opinion, with a dewy finish. The color choices could definitely improve with more pink-based or neutral tones instead of being mostly yellowish.

Crème -Cover Girl - AquaSmooth SPF15 Make-up
rated 3 of 5
AuNatural716 7/4/2012 4:18:00 PM

Got recced this all over the MUA boards when asking about makeup for super sensitive, acne-prone skin, and reading reviews on it and the ingredient list kept me wary about trying it because I didn't think it woud work for my skin. I ended up using it for a 3 days straight until I just gave up because it started making my skin feel itchy by the end of the day and it felt a bit too heavy on my oily skin. This might work better for someone with dry skin, but I just feel like the creamy residue seeps into my pores. I didn't use this long enough to get actual breakouts, and I basically think I chickened out in fear of feeling it on my face, so that's why I gave it a neutral rating of 3.

Liquid -Smashbox - Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Fdt.

Got a sample of this to take home from Sephora and tried it once--it broke me out within that first day! It went on fine, felt alright through the day, however the real test is by the end of the day when my skin is incredibly oily. By that time, this foundation was still good coverage, however it felt itchy/tingly on my face, and when I removed it with cold cream and then washed my face off, it was more broken out and my current breakouts were even more irritated. This is how I know when foundations are a no-go for me! So sad this didn't work, but in some ways I'm glad because I wouldn't want to pay that price for something I'd use everyday. Nonetheless, it was a nice texture for oily skin types, and the color choice is awful because even the lightest shade is a bit too yellow and dark, which can look to orange in natural light on my pale skin.

Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
rated 4 of 5
AuNatural716 6/20/2012 4:54:00 PM

WOW, so impressed by this! I bought this after reading MUA reviews on it..I used to be mascara-crazy! Trying loads of different brands with all sorts of different wands, formulas, etc. and I always seemed to go back to my trusty Maybelline Waterproof Turbo Boost because it gave me the blackest black, had the glossy natural look I loved, and went on without clumping. But this mascara commitment also meant that my lashes haven't been given much an oomph in terms of volume and length, even with a double coating each day. I never thought I could find anything that compared to this same dark black look, and have since not bought many new types of mascara after trying so many, but I am SOO glad I tried this! It is dark black, loads up with length and volume, and may outshine my original HG! Also it was only $2.99 at Walgreens! I'm only unsure about a tad bit of clumping I got on a lash or two, but I think that was more due to not wiping the wand off before my second coat...Anyways, I highly recommend going out and buying this because it is awesome!

Cleansers -Neutrogena - cleansing bar sensitive skin
rated 2 of 5
AuNatural716 6/10/2012 11:23:00 AM

YUCK. I don't get all the reviews on this. I only tried this because I Read somewhere that this is the face soap Jennifer Aniston uses, so because she has obviously perfect skin, I bought it. However, this soap STINKS and left my skin feeling dirtier/like a film was left behind. It also seemed to inflame my breakouts a bit more. Purpose bar soap is sooooo much better in my experience, and this Neutrogena crap ended up going in the trash.

Foundations -Unlisted Brand - MAD Minerals Foundation
rated 2 of 5
AuNatural716 6/9/2012 2:28:00 PM

After reading some of these great reviews on MAD minerals, I made a couple sample orders. I have used the samples up this past week and find it to be really great! Both lucy and alima itched my face up during the day, but MAD didn't! And Mad's SKIN COLORS matched perfectly--which is a problem I had with all powders I tried. My fair skin is so hard to match and the color fairly light worked perfectly, blended into my skin perfectly, looks natural, and gets a dewy glow throughout the day!! Best part of all, it is clearing up my havoc-wreaked skin from so many failed makeup trials! It feels soothing on if anything and doesn't irritate. Coverage is amazing too and it lasts all day long!!! It does get a bit less-perfect by the end of the day, but nothing that a freshening-up can't fix! The website even explains how you can use these minerals on freshly laser-resurfaced skin and things like that. Also, they offer a sample-size shipping price that is only around $3 if you're just getting samples and then it's $6.00 if you make a full order like I did! Go ahead and give this makeup a try if you have ridiculously sensitive allergic skin! The pricing is very affordable too. Will update my review soon! UPDATE: Had to drop this down 3 lippies cause as usual, looks like I spoke too soon. I ended up trying one more mineral makeup brand after this one and no matter what they break me out/irritate my skin, which makes me think my skin just can't tolerate mica. I've always had this problem where natural-based things usually caused more harm than good on my sensitive allergic skin, so of course this almost came as no surprise. I find things that are inert/synthetic seem to make for better makeup products only because they don't react with my spastic skin. Overall though these mineral makeup trials ended making me go back to liquid makeup.

Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation
rated 2 of 5
AuNatural716 6/9/2012 2:21:00 PM

Although this makeup went on fine at the beginning of the day, the colors are a bit off and I felt some itching and tingling by the day's end. I had the highest hopes for this product and unfortunately it mildly disappointed me. However, MAD minerals seems to be working just fine now and the color, coverage, consistency, and lasting power are all so amazing, so I recommend checking out as a better choice for ridiculously sensitive skin.

Powder -Alima - Satin Matte Mineral Foundation
rated 2 of 5
AuNatural716 6/9/2012 2:18:00 PM

Finally resorted to trying non-bareminerals mineral makeup again and had high hopes for this because my skin is ridulously sensitive/allergic. However, not only are the colors off for this makeup, but the finish is slightly sparkly, the foundation makes my face ridiculously oily by the end of the day, and worst of all it itched/broke it out a bit! I almost gave up on mineral makeup after this but went on to try lucy and MAD minerals as well and lucy broke me out as well, but MAD minerals has been amazing so far! It's soothing on my face, has amazing coverage, amazing colors, blends like my skin, gets a dewy finish throughout the day, and best of all doesn't seem to be causing any itch/reaction issues!

Liquid -Maybelline - Dream Liquid Mousse
rated 1 of 5
AuNatural716 6/9/2012 2:14:00 PM

While desperately researching every makeup option out there for my poor broken-out, ultra-reactive, sensitive, allergic skin desperately looking for a replacement for my discontinuned HG foundation Maybelline Natural Perfecting Mineral liquid foundation, I came across this realizing it had similar ingredients. Even after putting it on, it had a very similar finish and consistency as my HG so I got really excited. However, this is defintely not as good as my adored long-gone foundation. This ended up clogging me up and breaking me out a bit because gets so oily by the end of the day. But what's worse is that this oxidizes/turns orange immediately after hitting the sunlight outside! I have this in the lightest shade and next thing I know I have oompa loompa streaks on my arm where I patted the foundation onto my cosmetic wedge before putting it on my face, so I cringed at the way my face probably looked after I realized that! So sad though because that left me still on the lookout for a liquid makeup that does not break me out. This ended up being a big "oh well" and is about to get returned to Ulta very soon. Maybelline, get it together, girl! UPDATE: ICK! I had to use this again while waiting on my mineral makeup order to come in and man this super-sucks!! I started breaking out all over my face while using this and it's cause this stuff is so greasy/nasty. And then when I caught a glimpse of myself w/this makeup on in a brightly lit mirror, it looked AWFUL. It just sits on top of my skin like a bunch of gross tinted oiliness, not like skin at all! Back to Ulta this shall go..

Liquid -Merle Norman - Luxiva Lasting Foundation
rated 2 of 5
AuNatural716 6/9/2012 12:34:00 PM

This probably would have been a good foundation for many ladies, but this broke me out in sores/welts on my face and the perfumy SMELL annoyed me for a few hours after I first put it on. This is a very thick foundation with a heavy consistency but good coverage because only a little bit is needed at a time. However, it was hard to wash off. The biggest reason I did not give this a 1 though is because this foundation was the last thing I've tested that made me realize and conclude that I am for sure allergic to talc in makeup. I broke out in welts after using a couple different brands of talc-based powders before I tried this and I can finally say for sure talc is a major source of these for me, but if you're not sensitive to talc then this is an ok foundation, but probably better for mature skin rather than younger women.

Foundations -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15
rated 2 of 5
AuNatural716 6/2/2012 11:41:00 AM

Really wanted this to work for me but it broke me out and felt a bit itchy throughout the day. Plus the way this makeup went on was kind of sucky--coverage was ok, but you can see through it and it kinda sits on the surface of your skin more than sinking into your skin so it's obvious you're wearing makeup. But I do like the consistency/texture (its like a whipped foundation texture) and wish it worked better.

Liquid -LORAC - Breakthrough Performance Oil Free Anti-aging with sms complex spf 14
rated 1 of 5
AuNatural716 4/14/2012 12:54:00 PM

UGH. I wanted to love this product, even with high price tag, but it just broke me out all over! I thought the ingredients would be perfect for my sensitive skin, but turns out it was actually just disastrous. I only used this for a day and now I have little annoying breakouts all over my face. And for the coverage/look, it sucked too! All the colors are off/too light/yellow and they never blend in to look like real skin! So sad this sucked because now I have to go make yet another embarrassing cosmetic return.

Concealers -Boots - No7 - Instant Radiance Concealer
rated 4 of 5
AuNatural716 4/12/2012 1:10:00 PM

I really like this concealer because I finally found a highlighting concealer without irritating extracts/botanicals in them for around my eyes. The color seems perfect in Shade II, which I actually got after returning Shade I. Shade I is a very PINK color and is supposed to be for lighter skinned girls, but really Shade II is actually lighter and just a bit more yellow-toned, but not really much--so I'd suggest Shade II for nearly everyone who is not so RIDICULOUSLY pink. I just wish this product did not : a.) cost so much for so little (14-15 bucks for a clicky-pen's-worth of concealer!), b.) seem so hard to find in the only shade that works (out of 3 targets in 2 different cities that I checked, I found Shade II only in one of them!), and c.)come in a crappy clicker pen. Not sure if I will repurchase because I may find something else.
