Eye Shadow -MAC - Wedge Eyeshadow
Angeline 10/29/2006 11:10:00 AM
I like this as a brow colour too! Its not as harsh as a dark brown as I've found that dark browns on my brow only tend to make me look really aged and painted. Update: Now that I AM really aged and not as painted as before, I still love Wedge and use it on the inner corners of my brows.Normally I use Fake for my brows however, the texture for Fake is displeasing and streaky...Wedge has a lovely soft, smooth texture so it helps to blend in Fake nicely.

Fragrances -Bulgari - bvlgari femme
Angeline 10/15/2006 2:36:00 PM
This is the review for the Parfum. Bvlgari Pour Femme used to be my signature scent and I layer with the dusting powder when I go out at night since it has tiny golden sparkly bits which are nice for pretty scented shoulders. The puff is cute too. I've worn it for years and think its a beautiful refined and delicate scent - not too florally nor too commonplace and is quite unobstrusive when used discreetly.
For special events- I carry around my little 7.5ml bottle which is housed in a soft yellow leather pouch. Too precious- makes me feel pampered and confident. I love holding that little frosted bottle in my hand- it fits just nice into the palm and my fingers close all around it like a concealed weapon. The top is the same gold one and the bottom tapers down into a soft rounded point. My initial thought was that it looks like a tiny hand-held dagger..dangerous when handled deftly. heh. It rolls around when out of the pouch so I can't keep it on the dresser.
One spritz on the nape of the neck and wrist lasts for approximately 6-8 hours. Its definitely not heavy like most parfum versions of other fragrances which are really heavy and unwearable. My mother loves this too and to my surprise, it always gets very attentive, good service from restaurent/sales personnel when out dining/shopping !! 5 stars.

Fragrance -Givenchy - Xeryus Rouge
Angeline 10/15/2006 1:43:00 PM
Is this still on the market or discontinued? My bf is a real perfume whore who used to buy any new perfume on the market so it takes a whole lot for me to sit up and take notice. He wore this a long time ago and I thought it was a great warm oriental scent that is perfect for a night on the town. What I recall most was that my sister loved it so much that we bought her a set and everytime she emerged from the bath, the room smelt absolutely beautiful. So the bath gel gets high marks from me. Its soft and snuggly enough to be sexy on a woman too.A good buy. Different from the normal run of the mill crisp men's scents.

Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Emporio Armani She
Angeline 10/14/2006 6:41:00 PM
Initially I wasn't really impressed with this as I don't normally gravitate towards powdery fragrances and due to my previous line of work- I was constantly surrounded by all the Armani scents. So naturally, the grass is always greener on the other side and I always used some other brands whenever possible.
Fast forward to many years later - a friend smelt absolutely lovely for lunch and I was surprised to find out it was EA SHE. I already had 2 bottles which I'd been ignoring and had also been given a large set for my birthday (which I was dissapointed with at that time) but having rediscovered how lovely this scent could be- its mellow and warm- I'm now very pleased with it and it is "almost" a signature scent. From "tolerable", its now become "reccomended"!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Cloud Eye Shadow
Angeline 10/11/2006 1:34:00 PM
This is absoultely gorgeous! It really livens up my small eyes and makes me look more awake. Eeks, can't believe I'm saying this but I don't even need anything else to pair it with and just lashings of black mascara is enough.I took tons of eyeshadows on a short holiday trip and just reached for this alone everyday. Love the soft soft shimmery texture. Will repurchase definitely!

Blush -Stila - Hint Blush
Angeline 10/11/2006 1:27:00 PM
This looks really boring and muted in the pan but once applied, it really livens and gives a great natural pop to the cheeks. On my Asian yellow toned coloring, I thought this would turn muddy as I can't wear brown on my cheeks (and this looks a flat beigy brown)..surprisingly it makes a great polished natural face and I love it for everyday use. Think I MAY actually finish this one!

Cleansers -Kanebo - Faircrea Whitening Foam
Angeline 9/26/2006 2:33:00 PM
Can't say this made me any fairer as I don't notice much change but its a really nice cleanser. Foams up easily, unscented and leaves a thin film of oil on the surface of my skin. I thought it was weird at first but since my skin is dry- I've learnt to appreciate it as other cleansers tend to leave my skin tight and uncomfortable. Even without added moisturiser right afterwards- I feel alright, no flakies, no spots appearing. Reccomended and would repurchase!

Scrubs -Burt's Bees - Citrus Facial Scrub
Angeline 9/10/2006 3:28:00 AM
I received this in a swap and thought something had gone horribly wrong until I read the reviews...thank God for reviews! The pot is cumbersome in the shower and although cute- started to rust at the rims. The texture is such a strange, clumped up ball of brown stuff that smells of my mother's fruit cake. I tried it with water but it didn't work well for me so I used it with cleanser and it did..however 1 week later my skin broke out badly and I'm sure its this product even though I have dry dry skin. I've since been using this for my body and alternate it with St Ives. St Ives is rougher on my sensitive skin whilst this doesn't scratch as much and I like the moisturizing film it leaves on my arms and legs. Its ok but I still prefer other scrubs for use on my face.

Treatments -SKII - Repair C
Angeline 8/13/2006 5:03:00 AM
I started out loving this and ignoring the smell since it was magic for my thirsty skin. Unfortunately, lately it has been giving me little bumps and I am not in love anymore. There are no longer any signs of plumping up or hydration.Doubt I will repurchase unless there's some fantastic GWP.

Lotions/ Creams -Naturistics - Naturistics WIldflower Bouquet Body Cream with Milk proteins
Angeline 6/9/2006 7:45:00 AM
I was a bit doubtful when I first saw this product since I've found that Naturistics tend to scent their products with very artificial cloying perfume. To my joy, this was really really nice. This Wildflower Bouquet body cream is supposed to have a blend of violet, narcissus and sweet fennel. And the scent is really wildly floral!
The cream is more like a lotion..its runny, not extra thick- yet absorbs like a silky dream..perfect for non winter countries. The cream-lotion is a correspondingly sweet lavender color. I think anyone averse to florals will run when confronted with this scent..but I think its lovely and smells way more expensive than this large tub cost. Good one.

Scrubs -Nuskin - Exfoliant Scrub
Angeline 6/9/2006 7:26:00 AM
I am too lazy to incorporate scrubs into my normal routine but suddenly decided to rev up the basic skincare routine a bit so I tried this out 2 weeks back. The tiny grains were gentle and fine.Smells lightly pepperminty and clean. All good with me.
BUT my skin somehow developed a rash to it and suddenly I had like 16 angry red blemishes all over my cheeks and jaw.Totally horrendous! I've done the process of elimination and since I've not been wearing any makeup for the past few months (wow!)- its either this or one of my other skincare products which have not given me any probs in the past.
Verdict: Should be fine for most people except those with extremely delicate sensitive skin, ie:me, these few months. I used up the rest of the tub scrubbing my legs and feet.

Moisturizers -Laura Mercier - Night Nutrition Renewal Creme for Normal to Dry Skin
Angeline 5/16/2006 6:06:00 PM
I love everything that smells of roses and this cream did not disappoint. Slightly thick but great in dry aircon rooms. Wake up with soft skin, no dry patches. Am overall happy with the experience and will repurchase!

Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Verite LightLotion Cleanser
Angeline 4/25/2006 6:04:00 AM
I've been having bad skin days lately and now its very sensitive skin. Cetaphil did absolutely nothing for me so I turned to this and it was marginally better but would not repurchase. I don't use a lot of makeup but I always need to use a foaming wash away cleanser after tissuing this off.

Gels/Soaps -Ralph Lauren - POLO SPORT Water Basics Shower Wash
Angeline 4/25/2006 5:53:00 AM
Very good product that foams up nicely. Lovely blue gel with a fresh energising scent that actually stayed on the skin long after my shower was over. Not cheap but well worth it. My skin feels pampered and comfortably clean on hot humid Malaysian days using this. Especially good for toting to the gym because of the durable light plastic tube. 5 stars!
