Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - shimmer strips casual

I like the reviewer below on this palette bought this palette on clearance. It is my first Physician's Formula eyeshadow. I had avoided this brand previously because of their high price tag and I wasn't happy with some of their face products. Anyway, I am satisfied with most of the colors, with may the exception of the yellow shimmer that is hard to get color off. I'm happy with the bronze and gold colors and the red one is I go to when using this palette. I would buy this again but only at the clearance price I got it. It is like any other decent quality drugstore shadow. To me the one annoying thing about these shadows is that they do that thing where some products turn kind of hard and shiny and difficult to get product off after a few uses so you end up having to scratch more out of the pan and tap it off and therefore waste more product and leaving your product pan shiny/glossy. I think some of you will know what I am talking about.
My bottle comes of a little aqua blue. The name suggests that it would be a minty green color. With that said it has a nice lasting power on me (with base and clear top coat) and I'm very happy with it. I have already repurchased other colors from this line. I hope wet n wild come out with more!
Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Nail Color - Club Havana
Angelamakeup 4/7/2013 12:09:00 PM
The color is flattering on tanned or dark skin, it looks coral/orange. When I first used this product I was not impressed with the formula or staying power. However, I have I have since started using it with a base coat and top clear coat and it lasted 5 days with barely a chip. I'm happy about that and have already repurchased other colors from this megalast nail color line.
I got this shade in a GOP it came in a quad with 3 other purple toned shadows. The colors look so beautiful in the pan but I have to say that they lack pigmentation. When trying to blend these shadows it seems like the color just disappears. I actually seem to find that Estee Lauder's "Pure Color" eyeshadows seem to have this issue for me overall. I've swatched a limited edition palette before and those colors seemed to be beautiful, maybe they were part of their "Gelee Powder" line.
I got this 75% off and decided to try it. I've seen the Happy Booster line and been intrigued by it due to youtubers talking about this. I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of Physicians Formula. I usually find it to be an overpriced drugstore brand. Surprisingly, I really like this shade. I picked up a few of the other shades too but have yet to try them. This one is great for when I want to do a no foundation day and just use primer and a little bit of this to warm up my face. the little pink heart is great to add a little bit of color to my cheeks too. Dare I say this is my first "hit" from this brand?
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - 8-pan Palette "Comfort Zone"

I love WnW! This palette is has really great greens and browns. The colors are pigmented and easy to work with. These shadows are great for anyone at any level. They feel very buttery but have a slight bit of fall out as do many shadows. Just be careful when working with them like any shdaow. You won't be disappointed with the quality of this palette! I wish WnW would come out with more of these 8 pan palettes!!!
Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Eye booster eyeliner + serum

A black eyeliner that serves as a lash serum too! Is this too good to be true. Sadly, it was for me. Granted I could have bought a dud but my pen dried out after about the 3rd time of use. I even tried storing it upside down so that the liquid inside would flow to the tip. I wasn't able to use this long enough to see a difference in my lashes. I will either return this or give this one more go by exchanging it. All the positive reviews before mine make me want to try it again. Before mine dried out, the color came out well and it did not smudge I was so impressed with my first use of it. But after the 3rd day the pen (since it was drying out was not giving me a opaque black line. I bought this in Ultra Black 7365 it came with a bonus freebie of a clear lash serum. Gosh I really wanted to love this product.
I have slightly mixed feelings about this palette. First off it's dirt cheap! The colors and pigmentation are absolutely gorgeous. The only negative thing I have to say is that the shadows start getting lumpy in the pan (i've noticed this a lot with ELF shadows) so I have to keep scratching the surface layer off if I haven't used the palette in a while. I really think the 3 dark colors are so flattering to create a smokey eye. I would not repurchase this but while I have it I am enjoying it.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Kirkland - Baby wipes
Angelamakeup 11/14/2012 5:29:00 PM
There are better than the Huggies brand baby wipes that Costco sells. We've been repurchasing these for about 9 years now and every time I've strayed which has only been about twice I've regretted it. I use these to wipe my dog's paws and bottom when he comes in from being outside. They work wonderfully.
Where has this been all my makeup days of my life??? I had heard so much about the beauty blender so I decided to pick up a double pack from Sephora. I watched a few tutorials on YouTube as to how to use it. OMG this stuff applies foundation and under eye concealer like a dream! Say goodbye to cake face for good! I am so impressed by this tool. I love it. For the price of this the packaging is a bit cheap, the thing that holds the sponge in place kind of pokes into it. So I think it created a little hole that I wish was not there.
The packaging looks cool but it hurts your fingers to open it up! The sword handle kind of scratches your fingers. The formula thin, the color gets caught in the dry spots in my lips. I like how its not really jet black so that makes it more wearable. It does come off a little vampy though because I'm usually wearing more natural shades.
Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - Complexion Primer Potion - Pore Perfecting
Angelamakeup 10/10/2012 11:07:00 PM
I've tried a lot of primers in my extreme love for makeup. This one falls right in the middle for me. It's nothing special but it seems to smooth out my pores. I think I saw a review for this that reminded the user of bacon grease. It made me laugh a little because I can see where they get that impresson from, cold bacon grease that has turned white. With that said, it didn't seem to break me out or make me oily. I'm combination with an oily T-zone and dry eye area.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment

This was my very first Wet N Wild Palette ever. I've been seeing on youtube about how great they are. I picked this one because the reviews on here were so positive. Okay... I have to admit that it was not love at first application. It took about 4 times before I absolutely fell in love with it. It is currently my favorite drugstore palette. For $3 you can't go wrong! I love the bottom lilac color that is labelled for the eyelid!
Wet N Wild got this one right! It doesn't have a "lipstick" smell. I have a sensitive nose so I can't stand things that smell too strong of anything on my lips. The color is gorgeous! It works well on my NC30-NC35 skin. It also works well on my friend who is NW 20 I believe. I did a test on the claim to it's 4 hour staying power. I ate, went to the gym and 3.5 hours later without any touch-ups the lipstick still looked great! One lippie was taken away for the cheap packaging, but I'm used to that with WnW lip products. I don't fault them for it because the product itself is good and you can't beat the price. Also, it's not the most hydrating thing but it's also not super drying to the point that it would bother me.
I admit, I bought this product because of the high reviews here on makeupalley. The packaging is very cute, it's reminiscent of Benefit blushers. As with most makeup, the brush that comes with this is bad, although this one is particular junky I don't fault the product for that. I think it must just be there for decorative purposes. At first I was really disappointed with it. I found this product to be really powdery and not long lasting. I disliked it and just wanted to finish it up at first. So I've probably had this for at least 8 months now. And I finally found a way to use it! I first apply with a light hand a little of this, I top it with another light hand of NYX Pinky followed by a light hand of Wet N Wild's Pearlescent Pink. In order to have some staying power I top it with my skindinavia setting spray. I actually really LOVE that combination. With that said, I don't think I will repurchase this product since it didn't strike my fancy to begin. It may be worth a try for those of you out there who love to try different things.
