Really firms the skin. Similar in effects, but more moisturizing, than Philosophy's When Hope Is Not Enough Serum, which I use during the day because of its light, watery consistency (I use Thermafirm at night). I have seen real results with both these products. Avon/mark does not test on animals.
Fragrances -Philosophy - Amazing Grace SOLID Perfume
Alexandralexa 11/17/2006 1:27:00 PM
Smells exactly like Amazing Grace cologne, which I have not found to be the case with any other AG products. Unfortunately, the solid doesn't extend the life of my AG spray as I had hoped, but it's still great for toting around easily. I really appreciate portable products and this adorable packaging fits the bill. AG is such a pretty and comfortable fragrance that I'm willing to put up with its poor lasting power.
Well, I'm loving Angel, which is far less Barbie bubblegum than I would have expected from reviews. On me, it's a light cool-neutral shimmery, pink, creamier and less drying than other MAC frosts. Plum Dandy is a little harder for me to wear, but I've made it work with All Woman or Rose Champagne (included in the set) lipglass. My only complaint is that the the bullet cases in this set are light and cheap compared to MAC's regular cases - more like Lauder Group's Jane l/s cases with sparkles in them. Still, a great purchase, especially because MAC has great colors and formulations and doesn't need to test on animals to get them to us.
After re-purchasing several times, I am still crazy about this gloss. Prrr is a very shimmery, pale, nude-peach (more nude than peach on me). A must-have to wear on its own or over almost any l/s. Looks especially great over Freckletone or Hue. MAC has great colors and formulations and doesn't need to test on animals to get them to us.
This pinky coral really brightens up my face and makes me look so healthy. Perfect on it's own or over l/s and also great for brightening up nudes that are too pale or neutral. I find that many lipglasses are too sheer or too thick and opaque, but Pink Lemonade has a perfect balance of sheerness and creaminess. I love this color. MAC/Lauder Group does not test on animals.
I passed Plink! by for ages, but it has quickly become a staple for me. A neutral-cool, shimmery, pale pink that makes my lips look glowy. As is usual, the lustre formula is comfortable and moisturizing, yet long-lasting. MAC does not test on animals.
Palettes -MAC - Velvet 6 Smoked Eyes Holiday 2006 Palette
Alexandralexa 11/3/2006 7:51:00 PM
Gorgeous colors that cover the smokey-eye spectrum (shimmery vanilla, matte beige, duochrome taupe/purple, duochrome brown/green, grey with microglitter, black with microglitter). These colors will work on anyone for a variety of looks, from subtle to dramatic. Simply put, this is a must-have. Run, don't walk.
Glowy/shimmery, natural-looking pink. This is what I wanted VGV, which was too dull for my complexion, to look like on me. Very flattering over Plink and Plum Dandy. If this were not LE (Nocturnelle) I think it would become a must-have like Nymphette. MAC/Lauder Group does not test on animals.
Palettes -Trucco - Holographic Colour Collection Angel Face
Alexandralexa 10/21/2006 12:29:00 PM
Blue, red, violet, green and gold holographic pigments that are so much easier to work with than loose powders. I don't review shadows much because I just have the basic neutrals - and, in addition to this product, that's really all I need. Try this palette with Trucco Moonshade shadow and get ready for the wow-factor! So much can be done with this product on any area of the face that it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. Sebastian/Trucco no longer tests on animals.
The perfect matte black eyeshadow. A classic. Sebastian/Trucco no longer tests on animals.
I ask my SA for the lipstick version of Nymphette and got Sandy B. Overall, a pretty peachy-pink-gold, but based on reviews, I expected something a little brighter. I think I have more of a problem with the frost formula than the color though, as I find many of MAC's frosts overly frosty. I definitely need to wear gloss on top. I prefer lustres and glazes, but if you're a frost-lover, this will flatter. MAC/Lauder Group does not test on animals.
Lip Liners -Sephora - Slim Pencil - Lip - Chocolate Brown 118
Alexandralexa 10/21/2006 11:27:00 AM
I don't see any chocolate and I barely see any brown. What I do see is an almost-perfect YLBB soft berry-red. Sephora lip liners are half the size of standard liners and I would be so happy if more companies made smaller-sized products, so I could fit more makeup in my cosmetic case when I'm on the run.
Sour, old, dirty. One lippie for the cute bottle and one lippie because mark does not test on animals.
Gels/Soaps -Sephora - Indulgences- Banana Foster Hair and Body Wash
Alexandralexa 10/13/2006 2:38:00 AM
Deliciously scented hair and body wash. Really smells like Bananas Foster, not a hint of artificiality. Moisturizing for the body and leaves hair silky and sweet-smelling. A favorite.
I like this on minimal makeup days. One end holds BeneTint, a rose-tinted (and fragranced) lip and cheek stain and the other, a clear gloss. I usually wear a light lip, but Benetint is great for when I'm feeling cheerful or need to :) BeneFit does not test on animals.
