Wow... I have short lashes that almost point straight down, and although I love my Shu Uemura curler, I just don't have the time or the patience to deal with it anymore. Plus, sometimes curlers tend to make my short zero lashes bend up in a "V" (there's not enough length to do the move-gradually-outward thing). Yuck. Anyway, this is THE ONLY mascara that works for me. I've tried ALL of them..high-end, low-end. Maybelline GREAT LASH is like using a wet sharpie marker (no matter what the mags say!). Le Grand Curl makes my lashes curl and you can actually see them. No clumping or flaking either. But I don't like the waterproof version. LGC is starting to get harder and harder to find. Hope they don't discontinue it. I use it in BLACK. I actually started using this because Kevyn Aucoin recommended it in ALLURE (I think) a few years ago.
***UPDATE*** L'Oreal changed this to Le Grand Curl Extreme. Not as good as the original. Try CLARINS Pure Curl Mascara instead. That stuff is the BEST! That is my new HG.
The BEST eyeliner. My HG. But...OMG!!! I've been using this for as long as I can remember (I use the Black and the Black/Brown) and I read these reviews and I thought to myself, "Huh?? Built-in hidden sharpener??? I must have a different eyeliner. Or an old version." (But I just bought one when I was on vacation three weeks ago!!!). So curiosity got the best of me and I took out my eyeliner and LO AND BEHOLD!!! Out popped the end and there was the cute little sharpener! I had absolutely NO IDEA. Where have I been, under a rock? I need to pay attention to advertising. Thanks, ladies, for the 411!!!
This is the best product ever created. I love it! This makes your skin look flawless, and with no icky, dry, matte-y, powdery makeup-y feel. Coverage without the gunk. Eco-friendly packaging. I use the 40 watts. My HG foundation.
I absolutely LOVE this product! I don't know exactly what's in it (sea salts?), but whatever it is, it works wonders! I noticed a difference in my skin texture immediately. Yes, it's pricey, but definitely worth the money. Smells pretty too.
This is a great drugstore product! Part lipstick (for great coverage) and part lipgloss (for shine and moisturizers). User-friendly, moderately long-lasting and not sticky. Definitely MLBB. I've gotten lots of compliments on this color -- MA's think I'm wearing my Chanel UNITY gloss (when I use just one layer). I only wish UNITY had as much coverage! I bought other colors for my MIL and she loved them! I also tried MIRRORED MOCHA but it's too dark for me. This is definitely a drugstore staple.
Glossimers are beautiful! I received a Barneys New York Beauty Book in the mail which featured the new Glossimer Extreme shades and I loved the new black and silver (instead of the usual black and gold) packaging. I went right out to get one (or two??) and was actually disappointed when I saw the colors in person. I was planning to get MAGIC or PASSION, but when I saw them and tried them on my hand, they were WAY too bright and WAY too metallic for me (obviously, the photos in the beauty book were a little off!). But WAIT -- what was that on the counter??? A completely different display of GLOSSIMERS (without the EXTREME and with the usual gold packaging). I have six colors -- I bought UNITY, GIGGLE and BLIZZARD and I received OVATION, BRILLIANCE and MAGIC (still haven't tried these on my lips) in swaps. They're moisturizing, long-lasting and have no fragrance. I can't wait to get more of them!
