Liquid -Lancome - Eau De Teint [DISCONTINUED]
mypsalms 7/18/2003 3:39:00 AM
I bought this product when I worked for Lancome. It has one of the best review from our customers and I was curious enough to have it a go. And WOWW.. I know now why it has such a good review. Thing is, Eau De Teint is just what it's named. Just a hint of tint that leave your skin looked so natural. It actually gives a beautiful light coverage that stay true after 6hrs of wearing...even when you perspire! In the winter, no powder needed to set this foundation!

Liquid -Chanel - Double Perfection Fluide [DISCONTINUED]
mypsalms 4/11/2003 9:27:00 AM
A perfect foundation for busy people! Except for the smell, this is my first try on Chanel foundation and I think I have to give a thumb up! It does what is promised. Flawless skin with the touch of valvet. It is a quick make-up for those who are busy because you won't need to powder your face afterward. Promise you ... that after 3 hrs your skin is still velvet-soft. Quiet expensive but not so if you compared it with Giorgio Armani or Sisley. Give it a go by the way..

Treatments -Clinique - Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer
mypsalms 3/15/2003 7:13:00 AM
This product is very similiar to Idealist from Estee and Skin Refinishing from Artistry. I like the Artistry so I like this as well. it does a wonderful job at 'polishing' the skin and could act as moisturiser as well for non-too-dry skin (in fact that is what I am using it for). However, I suggest whoever use it alone as moisturiser will put on a proper moisturiser with at least SPF 15 for the day time. U see, exfoliating may thin the skin. Now, we don't want a smooth skin with freckles do we??

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Idealist

I think it does the job but it is too pricey to use as a primer. i still recommend NARS as it will stay truer and longer on skin than idealist. Great product though...

Powder -Chantecaille - Compact Makeup
mypsalms 1/18/2003 7:47:00 AM
Difinitelly true to its advertising. I have just bought my bamboo compact and hmmmhh.... there is no word to describe its softness and velvetiness. It cover quiet well with two layer application and my face stays perfectly luminious for hours. I think it worth the money I pay.=UPDATE=:: It slips after 3 hours into the summer weather, now that I'm used to it I can't help thinking that it's more powder coverage than Powdery foundation. I have to wear them in layers to achieve that foundation look. It has not live to my expectation although it's still a good compact for that afternoon touch-up but I believe any other less expensive powder will do just the same.

Foundations -Sisley - Botanical Makeup foundation
mypsalms 1/11/2003 6:29:00 AM
I met a lady with such a translucent perfect face when I finally asked her what foundation she was wearing. Since she works as Sisley's BA she said "this one". I tried a sample and hey... I think she must used something else. It doesn't appear satiny on my face (at least not very long). She lied to me!!! This product has a nice cucumber smell but leave grease on my skin... it wears off... I can tell u that :(

Liquid -NARS - Balanced Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
mypsalms 1/11/2003 6:23:00 AM
I think this is one of the very long wearing foundation. i like it very much if not because of the price. The coverage is sheer, build up to medium is possible. I wear it since early morning and my face stays perfectly satin feels till late evening....no bulls!! I recommend this for combination skin users though as it is quiet moisturising.

Mascara -Jane - Fan Club Curling Mascara
mypsalms 12/29/2002 10:02:00 PM
I am living in Sydney and couldn't easily get this product anytime I want it. But, with such a gooooooddd price I usually get a friend who is having his tertiary study to buy them everytime he got home. I have to admitt that it is so good that the rating given is well worth. Now, I switch it to the Australian product which deliver the same quality (slightly more pricey)called Mirenesse. Happy at last to find a match.

Liquid -La Prairie - Cellular Treatment Foundation, Satin Finish, SPF15
mypsalms 12/26/2002 9:01:00 AM
It is difficult to persuade me in buying liquid foundation. However this one come with a sponge. so I was convinced. The product is truly moisturising for the face. For some reason it doesn't break me up although it leaves my nose shiny ( i have combination skin). Very expensive but worth every penny of it. I m using it for autumn-winter season. Great coverage and stay quiet long on skin (6-8 hrs)

Liquid -Lancome - Photogenic Ultra Confort
mypsalms 12/3/2002 7:06:00 AM
First of all, this product is not Maquidiceur! Lots of people think that they will get the same coverage and the same creamy feeling from this product. Well it is not! I found that those who have very dry skin do not get well with Ultra confront as nicely as Maquidiceur. The coverage on Photogenic is less than that of M.deceur. Overall, really nice product. But, do not compare it too much with its senior.

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - translucent loose powder
mypsalms 11/30/2002 10:01:00 AM
Well,, this is the first time I buy a translucent powder. Never trust them to be TRANSLUCENT before. But LM's makes an exception. Fell beautiful, soft and velvety on the face and great to dust on around the neck area just to give this area the same finish. I think I would forever recommend this product to everyone. It lasts for ages and yes it is TRANSLUCIDE....

Lip Gloss -Stila - Strawberry Lip Glaze
mypsalms 11/30/2002 9:56:00 AM
Beside the great price, I really like all stilla's glosses. They give just the right hint of colour to the lips. I have asian complexion and very fair too, so do not like anything too deep.. stilla makes great lipglosses! But, I have another winner with less price, try Lanaige glosses. Trust me, you'll love them...I cross my heart for the 2 brands!

Concealers -Shiseido - The Makeup Concealer
mypsalms 11/30/2002 9:50:00 AM
To tell the truth I do not dislike this concealer. I bought it because the great reviews I read about the product. But, mmmm... I don't know. I think Bobbi Brown's concealer is giving more coverage on dark circle though....However this one come with greater price. So, I think that pricewise, Shiseido is a go, but if you're looking for something more like a concealer, go for Bobbi and Estee.

Mascara -Jane - Waterproof mascara
mypsalms 11/24/2002 10:41:00 AM
I was in the training room for my employment in one of the major dept store in Sydney. This girl has such a fabulous long and curly lashes on day after day. At the end of the training week, I asked her about what mascara she is using. She told me that I couldn't find it here in OZ; but if I have anyone coming from the State I could ask to brought this mascara in. I love it since. It really is dirt-cheap. But promise you that the staying power is more than those from Maybeline (we all love maybeline, don't we?!! Then, try this one..you'll love it)

Loose Powders -MAC - Loose Powder
mypsalms 11/24/2002 10:34:00 AM
There is nothing too special on this powder. The packaging is as what other MA products are. I think it should goes all right for anglo skin coulouring, but do not reccomend this for asians. The powder goes pasty and looks too dry on asian complexion... well it does on me.
