Lipstick -Revlon - ColorStay in Pink Indulgence
rated 4 of 5

Firstly, it is a gorgeous pink colour. It is bright dolly pink but wearable. Now about the lipstick: it is fairly expensive, can only be applied on top of some lip balm otherwise it dries out my lips and it can only be applied on super smooth flake-free lips or it will emphasize all the dry spots. The lipstick goes on very smooth and then dries into a matte kind of finish. I would buy this again because you don't find this colour easily in a drugstore.

Lotions/ Creams -Badger - Cuticle Care
rated 5 of 5
iramasson 10/6/2009 3:10:00 AM

I am in love with this product! Firstly, its organic and is not tested on animals. Secondly, you get a decent amount. And thirdly, it works! It has tons of different natural oils in it. I absolutely love the fact that it doesn't have mineral oil or petrolatum as it has a totally different effect. It is soo buttery and just melts when you touch it lightly. As others have mentioned it feels a bit oily at first but then it gets absorbed. I am very impressed and will continue buying it as my cuticles always need extra attention.

Makeup Brushes -The Body Shop - Foundation brush
rated 2 of 5
iramasson 10/2/2009 1:49:00 PM

I didn't like it at all. It was my first ever foundation brush and lets say I won't be using brushes for foundation for a while. It streaks so badly. What is the point of using it at all. My time for applying foundation doubled if not tripled compared to applying with my fingers. Thanks Goodness I managed to return it which took some convincing the manager. Even though it is a good qaulity brush I dont recommend it.

Lip Liners -Revlon - colorstay natural
rated 4 of 5
iramasson 10/1/2009 3:33:00 AM

I bought this to pair it with Colorstay Smooth Nude lipstick and it is a great match. The color totally blends with my lips and works great for nude shades of lipsticks because they don't normally cover the edges of my lips. This have fixed the problem. I wish the pencil was a bit creamier and softer but it was still worth getting as I don't usually come across nude drugstore pencils. This pencil does the job. I also love the fact that it is automatic and doesn't need sharpening. I will repurchase if I don't find anything better.

Lipstick -Revlon - colorstay smooth nude
rated 5 of 5
iramasson 10/1/2009 3:27:00 AM

I have bought it also thanks to the reviews below. It is pretty much the only light nude lipstick I have been able to wear so far. It is much more wearable than Matte Nude Attitude. I also bought Colorstay Lip liner in Natural to go with it and it works quite well. As everyone else mentioned it goes on really smooth and moist and dries minutes later. Thanks to that it doesn't look as cakey as all other nudes I have tried. You can kind off buff it into your lips. I do find it drying so I apply it on top of some lip balm (not too much). I does last longer that other lipsticks but can leave a solid line on the inside of my lips. Also never apply this on chapped lips - it looks horrible since it emphasizes dry spots. I find it quite pricey but I think it is worth it as there is not much choice for drugstore true nude lipsticks imo. I recommend this!

Treatments -Clarins - Beauty Flash Balm
rated 2 of 5
iramasson 9/28/2009 3:45:00 AM

I got this in a sample bottle that didn't come with instructions. I simply applied it as a moisturiser on clean skin and then foundation 5 min later. I don't know what it is but every time i used this it rolled off when i appllied my foundation. it is so annoying! It literally balls up when i applied anything on top. Not sure if there is something I am doing wrong here but so far I am definitely not happy with it!

Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Cream Gloss in 03 Adorable
rated 4 of 5
iramasson 9/21/2009 9:31:00 AM

This is from their LE Pure Beauty line. It is a beautifull gentle colour. It is muted peachy pink (hard to describe) colour. There is no shimmer whatsoever. I is quite sheer but leaves a nice creamy sheen on my lips which tones them down a bit and creates a perfect nude lip on me. I love it! It applies evenly and doesn't set into fine lines. My lips just look glazed and beautiful. It smells deliciously butterscotch and is advertised to have shea butter and other moisturising ingredients. It is moisturising but is not meant to be applied on dry chapped lips if it makes sense... Like any creme gloss it can accentuate dry flakes and they just want to separate. It is quite sticky but wears a decent amount of time because of that. It a nice nude gloss for every day. Very cheap and worth trying out.

Polishes -Essence - Nail Polish in So Glamorous
rated 5 of 5
iramasson 9/21/2009 9:18:00 AM

It is a polish in their permanent line of minis. They are meant to dry in 1 second. The color is shimmery red. Application is fairly smooth with an opaque finish in 2 coats (some people with good skills could get away with 1). It is a nice polish for the price. Gets a bit thick by the end because the bottle is so small. It takes quite a long time to dry (despite what the name says). It also has a flat brush which helps with application. Its recommended.

Polishes -Essence - Nail Polish in Sugar Rush
rated 5 of 5
iramasson 9/18/2009 3:11:00 AM

This polish is from their 3 Dimensional Line. It is simply excellent!!! It has a jelly consistency, very smooth and easy to apply, doesn't streak at all and looks stunning. It is a sheer milky pink. Not all polishes from this line are jelly like but this one is great - right on par with Essie Mademoiselle for me. The packaging is somewhat smaller then other brands but it is really cheap. I was really shocked to find something so good in a cheaper brand. You won't regret buying this! I have now gone and picked up a few other shades and will review those later.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Uriage Eau Thermale d'Uriage
rated 4 of 5
iramasson 9/17/2009 9:47:00 AM

I got this expecting my skin to be all soothed and calm after using this but unfortunately it hasn't had the same effect on me. Even though I still think it is good for the skin, I found it to be quite drying for me. I spray it and then wait for it to dry by itself but as it dries I feel my skin getting tighter and itchier. Very similar to what I experience after being in salt water or using green tea as a toner. I applied it a couple of time before bed and I woke up with a slightly rougher texture and some spots on my face dryer and flakier. I will repeat that it might actually be good for the skin as it probably somehow exfoliates the dead skin cells but it just wasn't what i expected. For instance I cant use it on top of my foundation because it makes my face dryer which is already a problem for me with foundation. Maybe it would work better for people with oily skin. I can't say yet that I wont repurchase. I will try use it in really hot summer months when my skin gets oily.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Mineral Oil
rated 2 of 5

Ok...I haven't done any research but from my personal experience products with Mineral Oil do block my pores and cause acne and I have used a lot of them. Unfortunately it is quite hard to avoid it as so many companies use it. I am especially annoyed at expensive brands like Clarins that have it at the top of the ingredients in a lot of their products. For the price you pay they could have definitely used something more refined!!! Now that I am more aware of cosmetic ingredients I will definitely try to avoid it by all costs.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shine Seduction [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
iramasson 9/17/2009 9:25:00 AM

I also got this on clearance sale and like the previous reviewer I got this in 130 Pink Seduction. It looks mauvey-pink with gold shimmer in it. I actually quite like the shade! The golden shimmer is tiny and just adds dimension rather than standing out by itself. I have farely pigmented lips and it looks stunning on me. It is sheer but definitely adds a tint to my lips turning them into cool toned pink colour. It applies very evenly on lips and generally isn't bad quality. It also delivers a great shine. The watermelon aroma is quite strong and you can kind of taste it in your mouth for a while but it doesn't bother me as much. My other shade of this gloss from a clearance sale is Ivory Star (560/608). The shimmer here stands out a lot more. The shade is shimmery beige which won't be flattering for a whole lot of people. I can only wear it with brown eye shadow and some nude blush. It is also very difficult to apply. You have to do a lot of blending as it is very streaky at first. After a couple of minutes it kind of sets and looks more even. I doesn't have much shine. I don't recommend this shade! I do like the click pen packaging, the silver stayed put with me but I find it to be a farely small amount of gloss compared to other brands that just never seem to run out. This is only the second gloss I am finishing even though I hardly ever applied it (I have a huge stash of glosses and was using all the other ones for a while). I wish they put in more product. I won't repurchase, however, because they test on animals (I only discovered after the purchase). That is the reason I took off 2 lippies. I think there are plenty of cruelty-free alternatives out there for me!

Lip Gloss -Palladio - Herbal Lip Gloss - Pink Souffle
rated 5 of 5
iramasson 9/10/2009 2:19:00 AM

I recently really got into Palladio glosses. I must say I am pretty happy with them! This gloss is sheer but I expected that. I have pigmented lips but it does tone them down nicely and brightens up the face with a peachy sheen. It is very glossy without frost or shimmer. I like that! It has a pleasant vanilla smell and I don't find them sticky at all. I prefer them to my Revlon SL glosses because they just feel so much better on the lips. There is no chemical smell as well. Overall I am quite happy with the purchase! I definitely recommend to get these! The price is great and the size is decent.

Lip Gloss -Palladio - Herbal Plump 'N' Shine Creamy Pink
rated 5 of 5
iramasson 9/7/2009 6:46:00 AM

I first got this in Frosting. It is sheer but has just a tint of peachy gold. It looks very moist on lips with practically no shimmer. It slightly tones down my lips. Then a bit later I got the Creamy Pink version. It is a lot pinkier and milkier. When you first apply it, it looks like it has set into the fine lines but if you continue blending it in with the little brush it comes with you get the desirable effect. It looks nice on the lips - light milky pink which makes lips look very moist. I quite like it as well. I can slightly feel the plumping action but it has no burning or tingling sensation like the Maybelline plumpers give me. I really really like these glosses! The packaging is nice. I absolutely love the little brush applicator! This gloss has a pleasant vanilla scent to it - it always reminds me of Mc Donalds ice cream. The price is fine and the results are excellent. It is gorgeous for summer! I definitely recommend this especially if you are in the USA where I believe these are very cheap!

Polishes -Revlon - Dark Pleasures - Scarlet Letter
rated 4 of 5
iramasson 8/26/2009 6:25:00 AM

I got this on a clearance sale at a good price! I love the color - it is my favourite out of my dark color collection. It is a dark deep cherry red and looks great. I found the application to be very difficult. It is very uneven. Two coats do the job but in some spots you can still pick up streakiness. I dries pretty well and wears fine (not worse than any other of my polishes). It is not super glossy which can be corrected with a clear top coat. Overall, I am happy I tried it. I am tempted to try out more dark red polishes instead of black and navy which are far less wearable for daily wear IMO. Won't repurchase because it is uneven.
