Treatments -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment

I have been using this spot treatment for about a year now. I have found that it works best if you start using it at the very first sign of a blemish under the skin. Obviously this isn't possible all the time. I haven't had any problems with it burning, of course my skin may now be used to it. When I think back, I can't recall for certain, but I don't believe it burned when I started using it either. I have noticed if it is a bad blemish, I will need to apply it 2-3 times per day to actually see results of it clearing up. If I only use it once, it does nothing. I have repurchased this but the small tube really does last quite awhile due to the fact that you only need a small amount on the broken out area

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Milk
rated 5 of 5

Milk is my go to for under my shadows (but over two faced shadow insurance). I find it works best if you dot it over the lid and then take your finger to blend the dots out into a thin over all layer. If you put it on too thick it is sure to crease, though. Its good and tacky, so the shadows will stick to it. I use it also under the lower lash line as a base to create an eyeliner with shadows. I have never tried it by the brow bone (I don't know why, that seems like an obvious place to try this as a highlighter). I can get this very easily where I live. Not only at Ulta, but several drugstores/grocery stores. The price is fabulous too!

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves

I bought this mascara really based on the hype and all the raving everyone did about it. Plus its a cute purple bottle. The first time I used it I wasn't impressed. I decided to give it a second go and realized if I actually take a little time to wiggle it at the base and run it through (2 coats), I'd love it... and I do. I'm not overly picky about my mascaras though. I love all the stuff many other people hate. But, let me just say that it didn't flake off, it really coats well, formula isn't too runny and isn't too clumpy. I can't say much in the way of curl because no matter what I use, the curl of my lashes stays the same (which is minimal)

Blush -Sonia Kashuk - beautifying blush

I purchased Flamingo and Melon. I adore my melon blush. It is the perfect color on my skin. The pigmentation is superb, it blends well, doesn't feel dry, has a good price tag, etc. I went to a couple different locations (Target) looking for this one and all were sold out. Finally I got my hands on it and it has become my HG blush. I need to get more so I never run out!

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Superstay Gloss - Beaming Blush #105
rated 2 of 5

I purchased this product on clearance/closeout (thank goodness) because I don't like it at all. I had high hopes for it. I loved the color and agree, it goes with nearly anything. However, it dries out my lips terribly. I apply it as instructed, and would expect the gloss side to help with the dryness, but it doesn't. My lips crack after wearing it. Also, the formula for the gloss is horrid. Its extremely sticky and even with the smallest amount, my lips are goopy. Perhaps with a better gloss that helps restore moisture it would be okay. The only positive thing I can say is it was a good concept (but didn't quite hit the mark) and the color was lovely. Won't buy again

Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss

I originally bought Timothy because I really love pinky coral colors which is exactly what Timothy is. I fell in love with the formula. Its tacky, but not so much sticky.. if that makes sense. I don't care for the smell but I'm not disgusted by it. I made my husband smell it and tell me what he thought it was (me knowing it is supposed to be creme brulee)..he said immediately "burnt sugar or burnt cinnamon rolls" haha! Creme Brulee *does* have a burntish sugar top but shouldn't smell flat out burnt. But, I can get passed the smell. I loved Timothy so much that I ended up getting Kirk too. It pairs very nicely with a nude lipstick. The packaging is adorable, and I'm looking forward to the two new releases they will come out with shortly. I'd like to say I would get them all because of how much I enjoy them, but for $19.00 I think I will stop where I am at.

Eyeliner -MAC - Penultimate Eye Liner - Rapidblack
rated 4 of 5
miserlymom 8/13/2009 2:30:00 PM

I have this a four only because I feel the pen could have had a bit more product come from the felt tip, BUT.. I have no real problems applying the product. I was excited when this first came out and wasn't let down. I haven't had any problems with it drying up. I have kept it in its original box and laying on its side as instructed. Still works fabulously. Also, others mentioned the color didn't come off vivid and was necessary to make a double layer, but I haven't found that to be the case with mine. I do favor liquid liners applied with a brush because they are more wet in consistency, but thats just me and my preference.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Ecstasy
rated 4 of 5

I picked this up at Ulta because I have been on the hunt for a vivid purple liner that really pops. This was it. It looks exactly as it appears in the bottle. I agree, though, that they could have had a better bottle for it as it does take up some space with the lid and just seems unnecessary. While its pretty, its not necessary. But, the quality is top notch. Great staying power, vivid, doesn't crack. It felt slightly dry on my lids in the inner corner and a bit on the outside corner with a wing, but not enough to really bother me. This product is going to stay on my list of must haves.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational
rated 4 of 5

I stumbled across these by accident before I ever even saw the commercials. I was stopped in a Target store because WOW an endcap with what seemed unlimited amounts of different color lipsticks. I believe there is something like 48 different shades. I purchased Pink Please, Born With It, and Coral Crush. I adore all of them. I do wish Born With It was a matte, but the bit of frost in it doesn't bother me (and I hate frost with a passion) The other two were mattes. I find no offensive small from them. In fact, mine almost have a sweet smell to them. The price was fabulous, I ended up getting mine for $4.49 at my local grocery store with a $2 off coupon! The tubes are cute. I haven't had any problems with them drying out my lips, they are very creamy, and I find have very good staying power.
