Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Moistureshine Tinted Lip Balm [DISCONTINUED]

I LOVE this tinted lip balm! There's not much to say that has not already been covered here...I bought Nude, which is (reddish-bronze)sheer and shimmery and perfect on my lips. This will be the perfect balm for summer too since the SPF is an added bonus. I will be picking up more since they are $5 a pop. There is a light scent and taste, but they are not bad and both fade out. My lips have never looked so naturally pretty! This is the product I wanted in Almays pure tints. PERFECT!
Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - MoistureShine LipGloss in "Sweet Nothing"
sarahbella1012 2/21/2005 11:40:00 AM
This gloss is the worst clear gloss I've tried in a drugstore brand. No staying power at all. I'll spend the fwe extra $ for MAC's clear lip glass next time.
Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - Moisture Shine Gloss in Dreamy
sarahbella1012 2/21/2005 11:38:00 AM
This gloss is just ok. I picked this up in a 2 pack at Target. Dreamy is a dark mauvey-brown gloss that seems to be "my lips but muddier". The color is very similar to Shiseido Mocha Glaze (which has NO staying power at all) and Almay's Raisin Glo. Staying power is decent for a drugstore brand.
This is great for a drugstore lip gloss! I did not expect to be so impressed. The texture is not overly tacky, it has lots of pigment and seems to last when worn w/a lipliner. This is MUCH better than CG Wetslicks! The color is a mauvey-plum and it almost acts like more of a liquid lipstick than a lip gloss since there is not a ton of shine. Great staying power and it doesn't dry the lips out. Would repurchase, it is worth the $5!!!
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
sarahbella1012 2/11/2005 9:46:00 AM
I had to buy this product to see what they hype was about and found that it does not live up. First off, it smells like a plastic and roses, which is unbearable underneath my nose. It has not helped heal my chapped lips, though it has been useful for patches of dry skin on my face, seeing that it is a salve. It has also lasted longer on the face than on the lips. Lots of product for the price, but I will not re-purchase. Cute tin.
Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Lip Gloss - Kir Sugar
sarahbella1012 2/9/2005 2:04:00 PM
I love, love, love this lip gloss! This is what I was hoping for in MAC's Lovechild, only that dries out and balls up on my lips. It IS sticky, like all BB l/g, but that adds the staying power. The color is a plummy-mauve with a slight touch of brown that does not look "too dark" on the lips, which is part of why I love it. It seems to last quite a while on me, especially with a little bit of lip liner. One lippie off for the price as compared to the small tube and the icky brush. I will suffer for this color, however! I will repurchase.
Lipstick -Prescriptives - Modernista in Ultra Chic (B/R)
sarahbella1012 2/9/2005 9:10:00 AM
This is one of the only long-wearing lipsticks I have tried that does not dry my lips out. The color is a brown-mauve, which leans more toward the brown side, but is the most wearable neutral for my NW20 skin in this line. I'd repurchase if there were more shades available. Also, I miss the sleek packaging of the other Px lipstick tubes. This tube is much larger.
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for lips in Juicy Apple
sarahbella1012 2/4/2005 2:38:00 PM
This l/g is high on shine but low on pigment. It applies as a very sheer bright pink and whatever color applies seems to run away from my lips almost immediately! Since my lips are barely pigmented, this is dissapointing. The color is a scary bright pink in the tube, but it goes on nicely, I just wish it would stay that way! No scent, no smell.
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for Lips- Tenderheart
sarahbella1012 2/4/2005 2:26:00 PM
This is an ok neutral lip-gloss. I like it with Spice l/l. I took lippies off for the way it balls up upon re-application and others for it's orangey quality that sometimes shows up. I 've had a few of these and the kind in the pot and the color doesn't seem consistent. It is not overly sticky or smelly and the tube seems to last quite a while. Nice glossy finish.
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for Lips -Black Honey [DISCONTINUED]
sarahbella1012 2/4/2005 2:16:00 PM
I was hoping this would look like the black honey sheer l/s, but instead it is a globby red-hued mess! It does not apply evenly as does less pigmented Clinique lip glosses. I was hoping for a sheer glow similar to Revlon's Cherries in the Glow or even the pot l/g by CLinique in Cherry Spritzer. Thankfully I found those. This is NOT a repurchase!
This is a burgundy-brown neutral gel blush that appeared muddy to non-existant on my NW20 skin. I used it as a base to help keep powder blushes on, and it was effective for that. The gel stains the fingers, which doesn't bother me in the Warm Glow hue, since that one shows up nicely on me. Plenty of product for the price.
I might repurchase this sparkly mauvey with brown undertones lipgloss. It is a beautiful color, but the stickiness of the texture is just Ok. Also, it tends to ball up on my lips with re-application. Nice stand alone color, faint smell, great packaging!
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Expansion [DISCONTINUED]
sarahbella1012 2/4/2005 1:48:00 PM
This mascara gave me big, fat, clumpy lashes! Even after wiping the brush I had clumps! Since I am not a fan of spider-let lashes, I tossed it. The staying power was fine and it did not smell. The packaging was average.
This is part of the Fall 2004 collection. As much as I wanted to love it, I do not. It feels heavy for a lustre l/s and applies as too bright a rose color for my NW20 skin. The brown undertones do not show up on me. I wore it continuously for one day and had dried out lips as a result. I may wear it off and on with a lip balm, but will not repurhcase.
Highly pigmented, lots of product, medium pink color - nice product, but it does not suit my NW20 skin as well as Petal or Baby Doll.
