I love this shade of red! I decided to spend only 99¢ on a lipstick from Wet n Wild because I don't often wear red lipstick. I definitely got my money's worth! I had tried a different red shade from Wet n Wild before, called Cherry Blossom, which was way too pink. however, Sevilla Sangria is perfect on my fair skin. I'm not sure what it is about the quality of the red, but it just looks so good!
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish in Tokyo-a-Pink-Pink 501B

this is a great value for only 99¢! by itself, the color is a bit too strongly pink for me, but with lipbalm underneath, it's just the right shade! unfortunately, mine somehow broke, possibly due to sitting in my bag in hot weather. so I pressed it into a pill case for use as a pot and now I can put it on with a lip brush :)
Lip Liners -Rimmel - 1000 Kisses Stay on Lipliner in Red Dynamite
fihe 12/29/2008 5:06:00 AM
I bought this for use with my Wet n Wild red lipstick, and I think it works quite well! the pencil is not really creamy, but not too stiff either. it's just right for lining and filling in the lips, and seems to be a nice true red without too much blue or orange. if I make mistakes they can be rubbed away a bit, then I can fix up the lip line with a little concealer. the pencil is a good size: not long and clumsy, but not so short that I'll run out very quickly. Great product!
Liquid -Rimmel - Recover illuminating anti-fatigue foundation [DISCONTINUED]

I love this foundation! I bought it in True Ivory, even though I think I should use a lighter shade (it was on clearance and that was the closest shade they had to my skin color, haha). I have disliked most of the drugstore foundations I've used, but this one is great! the bottle design makes it easy to squirt out whatever amount of product you need, and it's light and sheer and blends very well! plus it makes me glow! this is the only non-mineral foundation I've kept! UPDATE 11/27/09: ok so I lowered this to four lippies, because my skin has gotten oilier, possibly to a change in my skin care regimen. this appears to come off on oily skin. I do use powder to set it, but I feel like I still need to reapply. hmm
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Eyes Quad - Suedes
fihe 12/29/2008 4:47:00 AM
this is really old and it's discontinued but for some reason I still have it and use it :\ I really do like the colors, since they complement my fair skin and brown eyes quite nicely. however, I gave it only two lippies because of the quality of the product. with some of the eyeshadows, a weird "crust" forms on top that can't be removed with the sponge applicator. a natural-bristle eyeshadow brush is needed for that. and even when I use my brush, there are problems. I get a ridiculous amount of fallout (eyeshadow flakes ending up on my cheeks), messing up my foundation and sometimes smudging on my face so I get brown streaks. I guess that's why it's discontinued. Ha.
this seems to have been remade, but the one I have comes with a pink, purple, blue, and blue-green shade. the pink and purple look fine on my fair skin as is. the blue is ok. the blue-green, however, looks weird with my brown eyes. I think all of these colors would look better if they were more pigmented, but I guess applying them wet would take care of that.
Lip Treatments -Avon - Flavor Savers Lip Balm - Strawberry

I love this lipbalm! I'm actually wearing it right now! I like the pleasant fruity smell and the little touch of color it gives to my lips. the formula is nice and keeps my lips moisturized. it's great!
I first rated this product well over a year ago, and normally I'd give an update as an extension to my original review, but I decided to delete my whole review and start over. you see, I had bought this many years ago, like when I was in high school, and hated it. I think what was wrong is that I got the shade Porcelain Ivory, which apparently was too light for me, and because it made me break out. thinking back, I'm sure this was because I was constantly sticking my fingers in the product and probably didn't wash them -_- also, I didn't like how it made my skin look dry, but now I realize that this was because I used too much, and also I think my skin has gotten oilier since then, unfortunately :( however, a few months ago I decided to give this product a second chance, getting the next darker shade, Classic Ivory. it looks a tiny bit dark on me right now, which I'm fine with because I plan to primarily use it in the summer, when I get a little darker. also, I apply it with a slightly damp flat-top brush, which is much more effective than using my fingers, since it is more hygienic and prevents me from using too much. even though it provides a matte finish, I still need to use a mattifying moisturizer and pressed powder or else it'll come off by the end of the day. sadly, "matte" does not translate to "oil control". so I gave it only 3 lippies. nice finish, poor staying power.
Mascara -Maybelline - XXL volume+length microfiber mascara
fihe 12/29/2008 4:34:00 AM
this stuff totally sucks. it does lengthen the eyelashes but gave me little or no volume. and I hate having to put on primer beforehand, which, by the way, dried up rather quickly. even after putting on the actual mascara, the eyelashes still look a bit white from the primer. plus they made my lashes feel crusty. I threw it away a little while ago because it was just that bad. and I never throw away makeup.
Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara Waterproof
fihe 12/29/2008 4:30:00 AM
this is a really nice mascara! it really does make my lashes full and soft. however, it doesn't give a really dramatic effect. it's more natural, which is nice for everyday. I haven't had any problems with it flaking or clumping or anything, and it's pretty easy to remove with eye makeup remover.
my mom gave this to me because she didn't like how the color looked on her. I, however, like it. I think the formula is pretty nice, even though I don't need any lip plumping at 19 years old. I think it's a really good nude lip color for fair skin! and with some clear gloss on top it would really look awesome!

this stuff reminds me of a crayon: smells and tastes like one, with a bright color you may find in a box of Crayolas. on my lips, it is a nice shade of bright pink. however, I need to make sure it doesn't get around the sides of my mouth or else it'll look like I just ATE a crayon :O overall, I don't mind as long as I keep it within the lines. it's basically a lipstick in lipbalm form.
I bought this thinking it would be a nice rose color, as the name implies. however, it's more of a bronzy reddish color. the formula gives a lot of color along with shine, which is good, but for this color I wish there were less color. I need to be careful that I don't touch my lips or else some of the color comes off on my skin! I think it's too dark for my fair skin, but it's not totally bad either. at least it smells nice :) I would try Glazewear in a different color next time.
Lip Treatments -Avon - Winter Parade Lip Balm - Sugar Cookie
fihe 12/29/2008 4:14:00 AM
I bought it because the packaging was cute and I like sugar cookies, but this stuff smelled and tasted weird! also, it makes the lips a weird yellow color. sometimes I would get chunks of wax from the lip balm come off onto my lips and I had to melt them away with my fingers. ew.
