Liquid -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup

I think this is a pretty good product for a drugstore brand. I have found that you get what you pay for when it comes to foundation, especially when it comes to a bad complexion like mine. Do not buy this if you have dry skin. It is a dry makeup with salicylic acid. It is excellent for very oily skin. I was able to find a good match for my skin color also.
Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - Color Protect Conditioner

This is not worth the price. It's just an average product. I would have been just as well off to purchase a drugstore brand.
Foundations -Prescriptives - Custom Blend [DISCONTINUED]

This is a good deal. It is $62, but you don't have to use much, so it goes a long way. You also get a travel-size bottle to go with it. How much better can you do than a color made just for you? They also will put certain ingredients in it for your skin type. For instance, I have oily, acne-prone skin, so my formula was made oil free, and they put an oil-absorbing agent in it. However, I think I am still going to look around at other foundations despite my success with this.
Hair -Aveda - Color Conserve Shampoo & Conditioner

This is not worth the money. I don't like the smell. It's minty or something. It doesn't do anything spectacular that I can see for this price.
This hand cream is awesome. Sometimes my hands get disgustingly dry in the winter. This is a great treatment for them. It's pricy ($18), but you are getting what you pay for. I don't know much else to say except this stuff is great!
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash by Lash Mascara [DISCONTINUED]

I looked for this mascara not too long ago. Why did they get rid of it? I loved how it wiped the brush twice when you pull it out. I end up wiping the brush myself as I pull it out with other mascaras. Otherwise, I get clumps. I already have thick lashes, so all I need is some extra length. This mascara never clumped. It was great. I hate having to pull out the little clumps from my lashes!
I did not like this product because it weighed down my hair. This is odd since I have very thick hair. Therefore, do not use this if you have thin hair.
This stuff works! It is hard to find a straigtening cream or serum that actually works. Be careful not to use too much though or it will make your hair look oily. I have very thick hair that is shoulder length, so I use the cream. The serum is for thin hair. If your hair is like mine, I would suggest using a quarter-size amount. Update: I think they must have discontinued the serum in this and now only carry the cream. There is a serum that they carry, but I think it is a serum that is just supposed to be for extra shine. I haven't tried this in a while, but it's still great if it works like it did when I first tried it.
Palettes -Prescriptives - Holiday Colorblock for Lips-Warm
beachkitty79 4/30/2004 1:53:00 PM
I got this product a few Christmases ago. I really like it, although I only use a few of the colors. I look best in the more warm hues (with more brown in them). I also like the glosses that come in it. This is good for someone like me who likes to blend shades and has big lips that look like clown lips in really intense shades! My lips sort of have a lot of color naturally, so I don't always wear lip color. Therefore, this is going to last a long time.
This is probably the best drugstore brand of brushes. You can get these at Target. You won't pay those ridiculous prices like you will at cosmetic counters and Sephora, but you will pay more than the average drug store price. However, these do shed a lot. I don't think they are quite as soft as some of the higher-priced ones. So, if you are looking for decent brushes that you don't have to pay ridiculous prices for, buy this brand.

This is a good gel blush. I like that it's oil free also. This is a good color for me because it is more of a brown color. It gives you a nice glow. It isn't too overpowering. You have to use a lot to get a lot of color. It works great for my mom too!
This is an awesome blush. I believe I paid $20 for it, which seems expensive, but it comes in a huge pan. The huge pan makes it easy to get the product onto a blush brush. The color looks really good on me. I don't have super pale skin, but I would still say I'm in the fair category. This color will look great on you if you look better in shades that have a brown tone to them. This gives a nice sunkissed glow. UPDATE: I returned this because I started breaking out a lot. I wasn't sure if it was this or not, but I took it back just in case. It says it "may" contain mineral oil. I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean, but that is what concerned me. I hate it b/c I loved the color.
Styling Products -Biosilk - Biosilk Shine on Spray
beachkitty79 4/30/2004 12:06:00 PM
This is probably the only good Biosilk product. Some shine-on sprays end up making your hair look greasy. Not this one. It just gives it the shine you need and makes it silky instantly.
