Its very oily and silky in texture on application. I dont find that it emulsifies after you add water. On me it stays the same - I don't know what I could be doing wrong...After I wash it off my face still feels oily and I end up using a face wash as well. You face just doesn't feel clean after this product. I bought it on clearance so at least I didn;t spend much on it...

Its pretty good in my experience. I only use it on my body (not face). It seems to absorb quickly, doesn't leave a white cast and protects well. I wish they had expiry dates on these as I suspect mine was pretty old when I bought it on clearance sale...but there is no way to know.. My spray nozzle stopped spraying half way through the bottle so the packaging could be better

Sunscreen -RoC - Minesol SPF50+ Fluid Cream for Face

I am not too impressed for the price! It protects well but is thick, leaves a white cast, very sticky and sometimes irritates/burns my skin when it's extra sensitive. I would call it cream instead of fluid as it takes some rubbing in before its absorbed. For what you pay you can get a better one. I would love to try out the Eucerin Matt Fluid next...

Deodorants -Nivea - Pearl & Beauty Deodorant Spray

Its a very nice smelling deodorant/antiperspirant. I have used tones of different ones and this one works the best so far. Excuse the detail, but its the only one that doesn't start smelling sour when you start sweating during the day.

Makeup Brushes -The Body Shop - Face/ Body Brush

Excellent brush! Soft, doesn't shed and large enough for application. It is not meant for buffing powder in but it is pretty clear looking at the shape before you buy it. I use mine mainly for blushes, bronzers and face powders. I think its an investment.

I love this quad!!! Pity it has been discontinued. I love all the colours. They are light, sheer and are perfect for office day wear. I personally can see the distinct difference between the colours but I don't apply more than two at a time. I normally use brown/ pink/ peach as a wash and then also apply some light pink (the lightest under the brows as a highlighter). They all have a lovely shimmer which is more noticeable with the peach and pink shades. Using this with some black/brown eyeliner and mascara is a perfect easy routine for mornings. With regards to application, you do have to be more careful than normal. You can get fallout if you overload the brush. The brush is a bit odd (its thin and long) but I find it still does the job fine. I personally adore the packaging as its so original and pretty. I recommend grabbing these if you still see them on sale!!!

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Aloe vera gentle cleanser

I quite like this cream cleanser (this review is not for face wash). For me, it removes makeup after I wipe twice with cotton pads. I feel that once is not enough. It is soothing, doesn't clog my pores. When my face is extremely irritated and burny this is the right product to use. I can't really say much more. Its worth the price in RSA. I also like the fact that it doesn't contain preservatives. I still might prefer their Vitamin E cream cleanser as it leaves the face sooo smooth and soft. The only con is that it is hard to get the last quater of the bottle out...

As much as I like their whole line of products due to them being organic and against animal testing, I had to return this one. Its light and feels good on the face, smooth and good under makeup. Unfortunately, just like some people have mentioned here (and I was worried about that before using it) it broke me out terribly!!! Within a few days of using it I suddenly had 3 hard cystic acne on my face which I don't normally get. I do sometimes break out but this was a different type - very hard and sore. The last time I broke out like this was after I used coconut oil for removing my makeup only once!!! I almost don't want to recommend against this in case it works for other people's skins but it was a no for me!!!

I used only a fifth or a quater of the tube when it turned extremely dark. It was so dark that an african lady I offered it to could use it without a problem with colour match!! I originally bought it in Light and it hasnt had a chance to stand a long time to oxidize from being old. Its just a faulty formula. I had exactly the same problem with Revlon Beyond Natural Foundation but at least then it turned dark on the last quater of the tube! I cant repurchase a product I cant even use up.

Polishes -Mavala - Nail color cream

I bought a few of their creme colours on special. So far I have tried only Liberty which is a milky beige colour with slight pink undertone. It dried faster than my other polishes (I used with Mavala basecoat 002) but the look was horrible! It applied soo streaky with 2 coats. Unfortunately, you can't get away with a beige that streaks!!!! Not impressed!!! I will update when I try out the other colours.

This review is for the Yes to Cucumbers Facial Cleansing Gel (just like the review below). I love this product! It looked like it was going go be refreshing so I expected a bit of tightness after use. There was none of that! It is soo mild and calming - I absolutely loove it! Skin just feels so good. It smells fresh and pleasant. It comes in 100 ml tube. It is just a tad pricier than your typical drugstore products but its soo worth it! It is almost 100% natural which you don't find very often. Totally recommended! In fact, I recommend every single product of this brand!

I am in love with the whole brand and want to buy every single product from them! They don't test on animals and have mostly natural products which is rare in the shops. This cream is great. It sinks in instead of sitting on top and does a good job of moisturizing. I like the subtle powdery smell of carrots. It is a bit more pricey than other common hand creams but at the same time you get a huge tube which is double or even tripple the size of most hand creams. Definitely worth it!

It's one of those creams that form a barrier rather than being absorbed. As far as moisturizing goes it definitely helps to relieve tight dry hands. Not sure the effect is as lasting as they claim. What I hate about this cream is that it balls up. If you rub you hands together it rolls off you skin. As a result it makes you skin feel almost dirty like there is something on it. Way too annoying! J&J also test on animals so I won't repurchase any of their products.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12-Hour Eyeshadow Quad "Coffee Bean"

I really like this quad. Only 1 of the colors is shimmery (copper) and they are very well put together for a perfect neutral brown smoky eye look. I wouldn't want them to be more pigmented because this is the exact color intensity I like and want. The shadows are very smooth and easy to apply and blend. I am not very skillful at eye makeup but this comes out perfect every time. I have 4 Revlon quads: Copper Spice, Sandstorm, Coffee Bean and Blushed wines. I wish they were a lot cheaper in my country (17-20 USD is pretty steep!) but I still love them all!

Polishes -Revlon - Vixen

I love the color but regret not buying Essie's version instead which I heard is exactly the same. The reason is that its the same price in South Africa and I assume that Essie would be a lot glossier based on the performance of their other shades. This polish was a bit thick, took forever to dry, and the end result became dull very quickly. Because it is a cream finish every nick and scratch becomes very obvious and contributes to the dull look. Lately all my Revlon polishes also tend to bubble on me so I am not too happy that I have purchased so many of them recently!
