Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Womanity

This is a certainly an unusual fragrance. I'm always on the lookout for something thats different but it's hard to come across one that isn't either too strange to wear or sickly. Perhaps as this seems like it's in a class all on its own I found I just couldn't make my mind up about it. I loved and hated it at the same time. As other reviews have pointed out it doesn't mix well with some peoples body chemistry and I find this may have been the problem with me. Some days it smelled quite different to others. It did though last ALL day long wich is very important to me. I want to be able to enjoy the fragrance myself. I had eventualy decided that I would keep it as a great everyday "edgy" perfume to wear that would make me stand out from the crowd. But a thought came through my mind that made me rethink my decision..."Would a man like to smell this on a woman??"...I'm not entirely convinced...

Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Alien
rated 3 of 5

I remember when this perfume was launched and what a fuss was being made about. There was so much talk about how different it was and and that it wouldn't appeal to the masses. The bottle and campaign were also quite a divergence from the classic perfume image of glamour. After smelling it myself I was very intrigued and put it on my wish list and didn't get around to buying it for many years. But now its hard to see what all the fuss was about. I really don't find this fragrance to be very unique or rather that different as its supposed to be. Perhaps it was at the time of it's realese? It's staying power on me was non existant and I could barely smell it after 10 minutes. The bottle is rather beautiful though but I was surpised that the gold cap lid was made from cheap plastic. I hate to write a negative review for this fragrance as I really tried to like it but I won't be buying again.

Fragrances -Paco Rabanne - La Nuit

I'm afraid I'm going to agree with the other reviews, this is so 80s it's almost offensive. I do love some 80s perfumes only because they remind me of my childhood and my mothers fragrances. I almost tried to persuade myself to wear this for nostalgias sake but this is so dated I would honestly be to embarressed to wear this in public. The bottle is beautiful though, which is ashame that the perfume will have to be taken off my wish list.

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Lipstick SPF 8 #22 Pink Celebration
rated 2 of 5

This is a great 60s style pink and while I've tried to love this I am always dissapointed by it. It looks like a very strong lip color but goes on sort of sheer or patchy and its difficult to blend evenly over lips.

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Pink Label
rated 5 of 5
YoHarajuku 4/30/2012 8:26:00 AM

I had been hearing so many people rave about BB Creams but I couldn't figure out what the big deal was. They looked to me just like tinted moisturisers. Not wanting to be another sucker I decided to ignore the fuss. But when I received a sample of this cream in a swap I was immediately amazed! I'm not easily impressed by beauty cosmetics, it takes a lot for me to really rave about something. This covered my acne scars like a full coverage foundation with a light application, looked very natural. Went on easily with fingers and no caking or noticeable areas like with most foundation. It stayed on all day besides my oily skin. I definetly will be buying this when I get a chance!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
rated 4 of 5
YoHarajuku 4/26/2012 4:46:00 AM

It can be difficult to find an strong moisturzer for oily skin that isn't heavy and clogging to pores. I found this to be very good at giving my skin that extra boost when its dry and tight, and it absorbs very quickly. Has a nice light fresh fragrance also. However I didn't feel it was a strong enough moisture booster to warrant the price. Its really just a bit better than an average moisturizer. It does make my skin feel comfortable and fresh and like I said it is hard finding good creams for oily skin so I will be buyng again.

Masks -L'Oreal - Dermo-Expertise RevitaLift Mask
rated 5 of 5
YoHarajuku 4/10/2012 6:52:00 AM

Love these so much! I needed some kind of "super charged" moisturizing treatment to use after a series of at home TCA Peels. Even though it was for mature skin I decided to give it a go as the price was decent and I didn't have the time to browse the net for anything else. Wow, I was so suprised how good this was! I left it on for 15 minutes rather than the instructed time of 10 and my skin feel so refreshed, energized, smooth and tight. Never had my skin felt this way, it was like I had been for a salon facial but better. They are a bit pricey considering they are single use but I have found that I can re-use each mask 3/4 times each if I wrap it up tight in the packet with an elastic band afterward. For some this might not be hygenic but if you use right after thoroughly cleaning your face I see no problem. The only downsize is the mask itself is a bit scary looking lol. Definetly one to do when no ones around or face a bit of teezing.:D Admittedly I am normaly a bit of a snob about drugstore products but I must admit L'oreal does surprise me every so often with there items.

Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Prime Time Oil Control
rated 1 of 5
YoHarajuku 3/20/2012 6:51:00 AM

In total agreement with all the other bad reviews of this product. Bought this after using and liking the original prime time primer and thought it would control my oily skin. But no, it's horrible, foundation crumbles / rolls of skin and looks patchy and weird. I'm sticking to the original prime time!

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Cream Quad - Khaki Suede
rated 2 of 5
YoHarajuku 3/19/2012 9:58:00 AM

I purchased 3 of these quads thinking they would be great bases for eyeshadow. I was very wrong, they some how manage to make my eyeshadows look all the same shade. For example aplying cream first then placing light lavender eyeshadow on lids with a dark purple in crease they pretty much show no tonal difference between the two. Pretty strange. On their own the creams are nice enough but for me only good if you want a light wash of color and nothing else. I don't recommend these for heavy eye makeup looks.

Treatments -Lancome - Rénergie Morpholift R.A.R.E.
rated 2 of 5
YoHarajuku 3/5/2012 6:39:00 AM

Unsure if this is the right section for my review but my product is: Renergie Morpholift RARE Repositioning Cream This is a very thick cream and while easy to apply I did experince rolling, which I can't stand. I experimented with patting the product on and leaving it to dry but it never soaked into the skin completly. After a few hours I could still rub my face and rub little rolls of the cream off! After 30 minutes my skin was quite oily looking also. I definetly don't think this is best for oily skin even though the instructions state for ALL TYPES. There is nothing that says this is a night cream even though thats what it feels like. I may apply this product on at night only just to get the use out of it. But if it cloggs my pores it's probably not worth it. I did feel some slight tighting or firming of the skin, but over all I'm sure there are more products out there that do the same and are better to apply.

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex
rated 4 of 5
YoHarajuku 3/1/2012 7:19:00 AM

I'm not afraid to look in the mirror anymore! Excellent serum! My dull sickly skin is much fresher and healthier looking. More even skin tone. Product absorbs very quickly into skin, no greasy residue like some serums. No problems with acne or clogged pores which can be trouble for me and my oily skin. Product is expensive but when it works it's worth it in my view. Definetly buy again :)

Styling Products -Kerastase - Spray Volumactive
rated 4 of 5
YoHarajuku 12/15/2011 6:18:00 AM

I have very oily, long medium thick hair and have always been wary of applying products directly to my roots but decided to give it a try as volumizing products I have applied to the rest of my hair gave me so so results. I applied alot of this product directly to my roots, blow dried with a bristle brush. Was quite pleased, hair was definetly fuller and bouncier at roots. No sticky or greasy feeling. This product was very expensive £17.90 in a luxury hair hair care shop at my local mall. I normaly buy all my beauty products online to save money but was going on vacation and couldn't wait for it to arrive in the mail. I do think it is over priced especially as it is a small bottle. I found that after only using it a few times it already looked half used! I would definetly buy again but not for the full retail price, only if I can get it at a discount online.
