This color is too "hot" for my yellow-undertoned skin. It really clashes. It also just looks cheap - streaky application and ends up looking like a rosacea flare. Not a good product for me at all. Would not recommend.
Styling Products -Nick Chavez - Plump N Thick Thickening Hairspray

I got a free can of this as a GWP from drugstore.com. Threw it out after one use. I can't stand having hard, crunchy, tangly hair and this made mine all three of those. I don't know if it added body but I felt like it made my hair look like hard straw. Awful. Would not recommend.
I can't understand the hype over this product. It hardly shows up on my NW 25 skin. When I finally build it up to where I can see the color, it's too peach for me -- pulls a bit orange maybe because I have yellow undertones. I prefer a rosy cheek so I should have known this wouldn't work for me. Obvious glitter is too large so it looks cheap. Will not repurchase.
Masks -Paula's Choice - skin recovery hydrating treatment mask

My skin is insanely dry lately and this mask is saving me! I've been using it everyday, at least once a day, sometimes twice. I have not had any breakouts from it and it makes my skin GLOW. Loving it and can't live without it! Also love the price and the great customer service/quick shipping. (I would not recommend this for people who don't have severely dry skin as it would be very greasy.)
The original Issey Miyake is one of my HG fragrances and I have worn it for around 12 years so I thought I would love this one too. It is named appropriately, with a base that is very reminiscent of the original and very strong rose/floral topnotes. It smells nice at first, but after an hour I started to loathe it. I tried scrubbing it off after about an hour and a half of wearing it. Unfortunately, it has some serious staying power. I just found it cloying, powdery and much too sweet and old ladyish for me. No thanks - I'll stick with the original.
I own two of these and I LOVE them!! Smell/taste divine, nicely pigmented, and not too thick/sticky. As with most glosses, doesn't last long enough for me but I don't mind reapplying. Will for sure buy more.
I can't figure out what all the hype is about for this product. It's so watery that it smudges like crazy. My eyes tear sometimes from the freezing wind we have here and this would just run down my face. Yuck. And it doesn't lengthen or thicken as much as I like. I like a very dramatic look for lashes but this just looks more natural. I now use Benefit They're Real and it's fantastic!! A much more dramatic look and it stays put.
I have used this product for years and it is amazing. Total HG. I use a tiny bit (about a dime-size) for my everyday conditioner. It's one of the only conditioners that detangles my fine, dry, highlighted blonde hair. I only use a smidge because if I use more than that, it really weighs down my superfine hair and then I have to wash it more often. (I usually only wash my hair 2-3 times per week. Any more than that, and it seems to make it look even more fine and damaged.) I do wish this weren't so expensive but because I only use a tiny amount a few times per week, one jar lasts me a year. Will keep repurchasing forever.
Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer

I love this moisturizer. It's got retinol in it so it helps with exfoliation but it's pretty mild - I don't notice any flaking from it. I would not recommend this for really dry skin - it is a pretty light moisturizer. It has that slippery silicone feel to it and at first feels a bit greasy but then absorbs fairly quickly. Does not cause me to break out or turn red (I have sensitive skin and rosacea). Overall, I really like this and highly recommend it.
I am in the US but I ordered this from the UK but there was free shipping so it was only around $12 usd total. I was excited to try it after reading all the great reviews. When I first applied it, I was totally wowed. It was a perfect color match - I am NW25 and I ordered 25 and it was perfect for my yellow undertones. I loved the finish - very natural - not too dewy, not too matte. So for a few hours, I was in love. And then, when I checked the mirror later, I realized that my rosacea-prone skin was freaking out and turning bright red. Ugh - a horrible reaction I guess to the fruit in the formula. Sadly, I threw it in the trash because I didn't want to deal with sending it back to the UK. So I would not recommend this to those with sensitive skin/rosacea. Total bummer for me!
Skincare - Face -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

For those with sensitive skin, beware. This product is not for people with rosacea, despite the claims on the website saying that this works even for sensitive skin as long as you don't use the muslin to scrub or hot water. I did not use either but still ended up with an instantaneous severe rosacea flare-up that lasted well into the next day. I should have known the second I smelled that familiar Noxema smell. I don't understand why they include eucalyptus oil knowing it's an irritant with no real benefits. And if they're going to include it, why would they say it's OK for people with sensitive skin? Ugh. Now I have to decide if I want to spend the money to mail it back to the U.K.
Cleansers -Ren - Moisture Protect Comfort-Plus Cleansing Milk
Seattlemama 9/25/2011 4:23:00 PM
I have been using this cleanser for two months now and I have been really pleased with it and will definitely repurchase. I have extremely sensitive, rosacea-prone, acne-prone, dry skin with flaky spots. This cleanser works really well for me and I use it every night. It dissolves my makeup (I use a separate eye makeup remover first - this is not effective at completely removing my stubborn mascara) and I haven't broken out at all since using it. I do not get my face wet first, just spend a few minutes rubbing it into my skin and then use a cotton pad to wipe it off, and then splash lukewarm water on my face. It's really gentle and doesn't cause any redness, which for me is a miracle. I also like that while it's creamy and not drying at all, it also doesn't leave a greasy film behind. I adore this stuff and highly recommend it to others with sensitive/dry skin.
Mine doesn't say "Light Texture" anywhere on the tube but it is the Active C for Normal to Combination Skin. I LOVE this stuff. My dry skin just drinks it up - it is absorbed instantly. I got the Normal to Combo version despite the fact that my skin tends to be drier because I can be oily in the T-zone so I figured I would just use a separate moisturizer if I need it. This stuff is not drying in the least. It feels like velvet and makes my skin glow. I do need to blot twice during the day, once at lunchtime, once around 5 p.m. - that's just how my skin is. I would not recommend this for oily skin. The miracle of this product is that even though it contains fragrance, it doesn't cause me to breakout whereas normally my skin breaks out if I look at it funny. The fragrance is light and pleasant and fades quickly. This product just works really well for me and I highly recommend it. It is outrageously expensive for a tiny tube but I will continue to buy it anyway.
Hair -Kerastase - Resistance Double Force hairspray
Seattlemama 9/19/2011 1:07:00 PM
Pros: the smell is nice, the mist is superfine so it doesn't weigh hair down, nozzle didn't clog. Cons: the crazy high price, and it doesn't hold a curl in my fine, naturally wavy-but-blown-straight-and-then-curled-with-a-curling-iron hair. I don't want a helmet head but I need something stronger than this. With this, the curl went flat within 2 hours. Probably would be perfect for someone with medium-thick hair, but it's a no-go for babyfine. Would not repurchase.
HG for me. Perfect MLBB plummy pink and the price is right. I feel like you get a lot of product for your money. This is one that I'm terrified they'll stop making so I'm stocking up. This does seem to have a bit of brown to it, which normally I can't stand but somehow with this color, it's perfect. The formula is perfect, creamy and not drying at all. This is sheer but builldable, satin finish and looks very natural on my yellow-based NW25 skin. The only thing that could be improved is that I wish it lasted longer - it is pretty short-lived. But other than that, this is perfection in a tube.
