Liquid -Sisley - Oil Free Fluid Foundation
frucht_tasche 5/8/2006 6:36:00 AM
This is a divine foundation. I have already many foundations (chantecaille, BB, SM, shu, chanel, cle de peau, etc.), but after trying some samples of this one, I'm hooked. It's lightweight, and goes on very smooth (even without primer) without any sticky feeling. It covers minor imperfections very well, feels truly weightless on skin, and provides a very natural luminouos semi matt finish (not flat or chalky at all like many oil free fdtns). Although it's oil free, it does not sit on fine lines/ accentuate flakes (in fact it hide flakes better than cream fdtns) and does not dry out my already dry-ish skin. It lasts long, too. I don't think I can wear this fdt in colder months, but in spring/ summer, it's great. As other reviewers said, the shade selection is not great. If you're very fair PPP, you will not be able to find a match because the lightest color (01) is already around NC 20-25. Darker shades looked quite orange. If you have normal to slightly dry or oily skin and like natural finish & are lucky to find a color match, you'll love this one! My gripe is its packaging. You cannot control the amount you need from the pump, so there's some wastage. & for this price, the bottle could have been prettier. I will buy again next spring/ summer. ***Update Jul 2007*** I still think it's a very good foundation, but I found a better one: by Terry Teint plumping fluid foundation. It's more moisturizing than sisley, but still light and not oily/greasy at all. If you like the texture of sisley oilfree fdt but want to try something which is more moisturizing, it'll be a great product. & By Terry shade selection is fantastic (very sophisticated) for lighter skintones.

Treatments -Decleor - Aromessence Neroli

I used decleor travel kit (neroli + hydra floral + baume essentiel) for about a month. I like this aromaessence. It's very hydrating, and gives a nice glow to my dehydrated skin. My problem is that I cannot use this product with hydra floral cream as directed because this combination constantly clogs my pores (I observed very carefully over a month). But it performed well with other basic moisturizers/ or under baume essentiel in the evening. I think it's a good boost for dry/ dehydrated skin (if you're on the oily side, it would not be nice because it leaves a slight oily feeling), but am not sure whether I will repurchase because I cannot use it with hydra floral cream.

Moisturizers -Dr. Hauschka - Rose Day Cream

I used this cream on and off for a while, esp. in winter. Like the previous reviewer, I also found this cream drying for my dehydrated combo dry skin. It's very thick and emollient, but if your skin is dehydrated, it does not provide enough moisture. I had to use hydrating serum or other hydrator under this cream. Maybe this cream is for people with surface dryness rather than dehydrated skin. But I loved the high quality ingredients, texture and scent. It is very thick and emollient, but if you warm a dollop on hand and then apply(like using la mer or decleor balms), it is not greasy (but glowy). I think it's a good product, but just not for me.

Lotions/ Creams -Annick Goutal - Creme Splendide Corps
frucht_tasche 5/5/2006 6:04:00 AM
It's such a luxurious product. It's not something I need every day. It leaves the skin silky soft, but many less expensive body cream will do this job (maybe even better). But the heavenly scent (so fresh rose scent, not heavy at all), beautiful packaging, and the smooth, fresh texture of this cream are very unique. I feel very pampered and the beautiful scent lingers quite a long time on skin. *** Edit ***: After using up one jar, I think it'll not be moisturizing enough for people with dry skin/ or those who live in dry climate. As a body care product, there are many which do a better job (even the one from nivea or l'oreal left my skin softer or I prefer some other scented body cream which is richer than this one)... but still a nice treat/luxury. However, I don't think I will repurchase because it's not moisturizing enough for me.

Moisturizers -Decleor - Hydra Floral Hydrating Comfort Cream
frucht_tasche 5/4/2006 7:40:00 AM
I used this moisturizer (reformulated hydra floral flower nectar cream) for one month together with neroli aromaessence (travel kit). This combo was very hydrating for my dehydrated skin, making it soft and silky. But I decided not to repurchase this moisturizer because of the following reasons: 1) as one reviewer said, despite its light texture (the texture when used together with neroli, literally melts into the skin), it felt very heavy/ sticky on face (and I usually don't have problems with emollient moisturizers) 2) the scent 3) and finally this combo constantly gave me millia breakouts/ clogged pores.
