Lip Treatments -Blistex - Blistex Spa Effects

I had high hopes for these because Blistex products usually work great for me. The scents were ok but I really only liked the "relaxing" one. But you get stuck buying all 3, which also annoyed me. Yes, there are 3 but they are all small, and you end up paying more than you would if bought 3 of a basic Blistex. I thought they were overpriced for what you get. The lip balm goes on ok and feels fine....but in no time, it's gone! I don't think they're drying but it's like they evaporate, so what's the point? They do absolutely nothing for me.

Shampoo -Back to Basics - Tangerine Grapefruit

I bought this when I ran out of the Back to Basics grapefruit clarifying shampoo, which must have been discontinued. While I like the old stuff much better, I think the tangerine grapefruit does a good job of removing build-up without stripping the hair. My hair is shinier and has better texture after I use it.

Skincare - Body -Olay - Olay Body Quench Rapid Repair Hand Lotion

Just like others said, I bought this because it had a great review in Allure. I can't see it moisturizing throughout the day - you definitely need to reapply. For me, it's a good hand lotion to use at work because it absorbs well and isn't messy. It should be a good "maintenance" lotion, meaning that it will keep my hands soft. However, I would not count on it to heal dry hands or prevent chapping in the winter. So I will use the tube I have but I don't think I will buy it again (Sally Hansen 18 Hour is sooo much better!). UPDATE: After using the product for awhile, I've decided that I will buy it again to keep in my desk at work.

Lotions/ Creams -Heavy Duty - Heavy Duty Hand Cream

I was really disappointed in this product. I read magazine reviews that said it was fantastic but it didn't absorb well and made my hands feel slippery and coated. The smell wasn't bad at first but got annoying after a while.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

I use Cetaphil to remove eye make-up. It works wonderfully and doesn't irritate my skin, unlike so many "real" eye make-up removers (huge pet peeve- they say they are for eyes but sting and blur!). I have occasionally used it as a cleanser when my face was dry or when another product caused a negative reaction.

Treatments -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment

Since I've gotten older, I tend to get the monsterous painful deep pimples that leave dark red marks once they're finally gone. Advantage Acne Spot Treatment is the only product that has helped get rid of these before they get out of control. Whenever I feel one starting, I use the spot treatment and it keeps the pimple from growing, then makes it go away. I also appreciate the fact that it doesn't make my skin dry and scaly.

Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Blackhead clearing scrub

I bought this as a substitute for Clinique 7 day scrub. While I didn't have serious blackhead issues, I did have breakouts all the time. This worked just as well as the Clinique scrub and is much cheaper. I use it as a daily cleanser in the morning and my skin has improved greatly. I'm on my 2nd tube and will continue to buy it.

Polishes -Seche Vite - Seche Rose

This is a great product to use when you don't have time for a manicure but want your nails to look well-groomed! The color is a nice neutral shade that should look good with alot of skin tones. It wears well and doesn't chip easily.

Treatments -Barielle - Extra Gentle Cuticle Minimizer

I used this as part of my manicure, not as a daily treatment. It worked to soften my cuticles so I could push them back, and it really was gentle. However, I would have gotten the same result with a cheaper product. The label says you can use it while wearing polish but I don't understand why someone would need to do that.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara

Finally! I now know I am not alone! I tried Great Lash after reading reviews in magazines and had the same problems some of you had - after a short time I had dark smudges under my eyes. I am always trying to cover up my dark circles and not make them worse with mascara.
