Blush -Stila - Cream Blush

Great pink shade with a touch of peachy coral. Love Stila's powder blushes. They last long, don't break me out, and don't make me look like an 80's reject with a ton of frosty shimmer. A tad expensive at $15 but not quite as bad as my other high-end favorites like NARS or Laura Mercier at $20, but I saved a buck or two by puying a pan at $13 to put into my RIS palette.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Spite lipglass
marjorie 12/11/2001 11:55:00 AM
This is one of my favorite lipglass colors. A mauve with a touch of taupe and no shimmer. Thick, shiny, and long-lasting like the other glasses. Wish there was a little more in the tube though for the $13 price tag.

Blush -Stila - Tint Blush

Light peach with a touch of pink. Very pretty color on fair skins. Lasts fairly long but not quite as long as my NARS colors.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Triple Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
marjorie 12/11/2001 10:55:00 AM
Wow. First let me say this was a tad goopier than I like, but when weighed against my pet peeve of under-eye smudges I decided to give it a 5 anyways. This the only non-waterproof mascara that did not smudge under my eyes at all and I have oily skin and live in FL. It also washed off easily. Pretty inexpensive, though there are cheaper out there.

Blush -NARS - Plaisir [DISCONTINUED]

Interesting and beautiful medium brownish rose with no shimmer.. Possibly too dark for PPP, but nice on my fair, neutral skin. Works great with many of my your-lips-but-better colors, esp. BB Brown gloss. Same NARS quality in pigment, staying power, and packaging. I wish these were a little cheaper, but oh well.

Blush -NARS - Sin
marjorie 12/11/2001 10:27:00 AM
Great rose color with a touch of plum and a touch of gold shimmer. Very pretty on. Long-lasting with plenty of pigment. Actually shows up on my fair skin...Orgasm did not. A little price-y at $20, but I would probably buy it again.

Blush -NARS - Zen
marjorie 12/11/2001 10:24:00 AM
This one works great as both blush and bronzer on my fair, neutral skin. It's a matte, peach-y tan with lots of pigment that lasts a long time. Great packaging. A tad price-y at $20, but I would buy it again.

Fragrances -Antonia's Flowers - Antonia's Flowers EDT
marjorie 12/10/2001 10:47:00 AM
Very fresh, slightly sweet floral. The freesia is strong and very citrusy. I like it but I could see where others might not. Not for those with a sensitive nose! Also, a tad pricey.

Soft sweet floral. Can definitely smell the apricot and sweet pea. A little price-y but a very natural scent.

Fragrances -Annick Goutal - Eau de Ciel

Soft, violet-y floral smell that reminds me of rain. Like this one very much. Expensive but her fragrances are worth it. Very natural and not synthetic-smelling or full of alcohol.

Crème -Almay - One Coat Light and Easy Makeup [DISCONTINUED]

This is the best of the stick foundations I've tried so far. A list which includes Revlon Colorstay, Loreal Quickstick, and Clinique CityStick. The coverage was a nice medium and the consistency just right...not too powdery or too creamy. The color was excellent for me...Buff. My skin is very neutral...not too pink or yellow...so it can be hard to find a match. My only criticisms are the sponge, which I found useless, and the price which I thought was a little inflated. If they added a full-spectrum SPF 15 then I would consider it a great bargain at $12..

Lipstick -Jane - Lip Huggers
marjorie 12/6/2001 9:57:00 AM
This was my first Jane purchase. I got the infamous Browned Down Red. A pretty muted red with a touch of brown and no shimmer. It is a great color for an even greater price. I paid less than $3. No nasty fragrances and the consistency is good...slightly thick and moisturizing...didn't dry my lips out. I have this "shade" already in a Clinique lipstick, but I think it will be going to swap now. Definitely will keep the Jane as a staple.

Blush -MAC - Buff
marjorie 11/27/2001 5:39:00 PM
Recieved this color in swap. A matte pink/peach, very neutral and nearly perfect for my fair complexion and only slightly yellow skin tone. Long lasting and comes in MAC's convenient flip top. If I couldn't find this one in a swap, I would definitely have to break down and buy it!

Lip Gloss -Body & Soul - Lip Glow lip gloss
marjorie 11/27/2001 3:22:00 PM
Received the color LoveBird in a swap and loved it. This was a gorgeous reddish brown with no shimmer that for once was not too intense for my fair complexion. Also it was very moisturizing and lasted fairly long. I looked up the price on-line at Sephora's and ouch! $16.50 is a pretty penny to pay especially for such unexceptional yet environmentally acceptable packaging. I would have preferred a handy wand for such prices. However, I would definitely swap for this again and if worse came to worse shell out the bucks for more.

Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Lip Gloss - Ruby Sugar

Sheer red gloss with a touch of burgundy and some shimmer. Perfect for those like myself who can't wear high intensity red very well. I love BB glosses because they are thick, sticky, and long-lasting.
