Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+

I love Fix+! I like to use it when I wear full coverage mineral foundation. After I apply foundation I spritz my 187 twice and dab on my cheeks, forehead and chin. Then I lightly blend it all in.
Since I did gain a little weight my face looks a little thicker so i've been doing a lot of contouring and highlighting. Using this technique everything you put on your face will blend together but not messing it up. It just makes everything flawless and neat! Oh and it also makes your makeup last all day.
It is also a great mixing medium. If you have a shadow that you want to use as a liner spray your liner brush and add some shadow and viola! Also on hot days I like to put a bottle in the fridge and spray on my face. It cools you down and refreshes your makeup!
It smells wonderful and its very refreshing. This is a awsome product! I'm all for versatility and this product is it!! LOOOOVE IT!

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser

I purchased this cleanser about 3 weeks ago. I've been having a lot of skin issueS the past couple years and I can't seem to get the skin that I had before back. I know that I slack when it comes to washing my face and taking care of it. Also i'm sure its heriditary, my mom had acne at my age and I am a picker as well, which is BAD. Well 3 weeks ago I realized I need to be more strict when it came to the care of my face. I tried out my friends Neutrogena oil free cleanser (orange formula) a few times and I actually noticed that it did help my skin. The only thing I didn't like was the smell, it had that medicated stentch. I've seen the commercials on tv about this new cleanser so I thought i'd give it a try. I did and I love it. It removes all the dirt off my face and treats my acne. Oh and smells wonderful!! My face isn't clear but it's slowly getting there. I use this along with my St. Ives Apricot Scrub and they work perfect together. I've been sticking to a daily routine and i've noticed the bumps going away. I still have scaring and a few other pimples.
The price is pretty reasonable. It's about $6 at Target. The packaging is alright, the pump is convienient but I can see how it might be problem when you travel. The scent is amazing! It has that citrus smell that just calms you down at night and wakes you up in the morning!
I'm praying that with the products i'm using and the strict daily routine I can get my clear skin back. I will definantly repurchase just as long as keeps working. I look forward to washing my face now with this stuff which is awsome!!

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Birthday Suit

I just bought this color and I looooove it. The color last a while and it's very moisturizing. Not drieing at all. Great formula and I'm pretty sure that i'm done searching for a nude lip color. It's not shimmery at all, it's very matte. Only $5 and if you can get buy one get one free that's a better deal! I got mine bogo and I got Brazilian. It's a dark brown. Also a great color. I will definately repurchase!!! UPDATE: This color is a great dupe for MAC's new lipstick Brave New Bronze!!! I don't know why I passed that color up because it's so pretty. It's sold out at my MAC store. I am sooooo happy I discovered this!!!

Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Duo in Medium Dark Natural & Shimmer

I'm surprised that this product didn't get better reviews. I've been using this on days when I don't feel like wearing heavier makeup and I don't feel like fussing with my loose Everyday Minerals foundation. I love the fact that it has a highlighter also. It gives you a light to medium coverage. Takes the redness away and evens out your complexion. Great on those late mornings with only 5 minutes to dedicate to makeup. A little expensive but it'll last you a long time. I'm a fan of the mineralize skinfinishes and i'm very happy with this product.
UPDATE 1/9/09: I've gotten lighter this past fall and winter and this is PERFECT for a contour color!! LOVE it more because it just became more versatile=]

Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15

I bought this yesterday at Longs with a BOGO Free coupon=] Anyway, I also own the Almay Smart Shade makeup. These products are exactly the same, from the packaging to the texture of the makeup. I did notice that the Almay has a pink undertone and Revlon has more of a yellow/orangy tone. I have yellow undertones and this works and blends better on my skin. The foundation lasts all day and it covers the simple stuff like redness, freckles and light acne scarring. But if you have fresh zits or really dark scars this wont cover it, you're going to have to use some concealer for that. I noticed that I can't wear this alone without setting powder, if not my face becomes sticky and shinny. If you can pick this up at your drugstore with the BOGO free promotion do it! It's so much more worth it. This retails for $12.99 for 1fl oz. Which to me is ridiculus for something you get at a drugstore. The quality is good but if you can wait for a promo and get it half off it's so much better. I love saving money so I rarely buy these things full price. All around good product. A little thicker and has more covereage than your average tinted moisturizer. Great light to medium coverage and ideal for those who have yellow undertones. Make sure to set with powder and it will last all day. I just use my MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural. I will repurchase for sure!!

Eye Primer -L'Oreal - De-crease Eyeshadow base

I'm surprised this prosuct didn't get better reviews. I've heard of Urban Decay Primer Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance but never really wanted to spend over $15 for a small tube. Before buying this I was using MAC's paint pot in Soft Ochre. That worked perfectly fine for me, made my shadow last all day and only a couple of cheap shadows creased on me. Summer is ending and my lids are getting a little dry and my Soft Ochre paint pot doesn't provide me with much moisture. My lids got flakey and my shadow did not look cute at all. I watched a few mixed reviews on youtube, then I stumbled on pinkiecharms review. She suggested that people who need that extra moisture to go ahead and try it out. But people with oilier lids to stay away. Anyway, so I bought and I love it. And I only paid $6.50!! My shadows last all day with no creasing. I'm pretty excited about this find! Girls it's worth the try, if you're on a budget or you just don't want to spend almost $20 for primer like me get this, you wont be disappointed.

Mascara -Almay - One Coat Nourishing-Thickening Waterproof

I've been experimenting on mascaras these past weeks and I bought this one. I've never tried a Almay mascara so I gave it a try. I bought this at Longs and got a free eye makeup remover. This mascara is pretty moisturizing but it causes my lashes to lose its curl, after working with my lash curler to get the perfect curl=/ This is the first waterproof mascara that made my lashes uncurl. I've never had that problem with any waterproof mascara. When I want more of a natural lash I guess I can reach for this. I don't think I will repurchase because I hate when my lashes are uncurled:( UPDATE: I've used this a couple more times after wrtting my review and it still makes my lashes uncurl, not as much as before though. I don't know if it is because it was brand new thats why it caused my lashes to completly uncurl?? But now i'm starting to like it...it gives my lashes a real natural look=)

Brows -New York Color - Browser

I've used this before, used it up and never repurchased...until recently. I began using a pencil because its faster and easier to fill in my brows. I like to use this when I really want my brows to look nice and well groomed. I don't use the brush that comes with at all because it's way to fat. But I do like the tweezers. I keep it in my purse and use it for those little stray hairs, I find that it works pretty well. I only use a little and use brush to blend it in for a more natural look. I rarely use the wax, my brows are so thin and I don't have those little strays. For $3 bucks this is a pretty good product:)

Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Fix and Perfect Foundation Primer

I'm noticing this is a hit or miss primer. Some love it and some hate it. For me this is the first primer i've ever used so I can't really compare it to anything out there. I've used this a few times and it's held up in this hot California weather. I don't think i've used this long enough to say it hasn't broke me out. Soooo i'll update later on how my skin reacts to it, good or bad. I mainly focus on my tzone because I find it works real good keeping my oilys under control. It has a really nice scent to it and it dries to a nice smooth almost powdery finish. Which is good for applieing my mineral makeup. I got this at Walgreens for a buy one get one free promo they were having, so I got a Rimmel lipgloss as my free item. If it wasn't bogo I probably wouldn't of paid $8 for it alone. I would buy this again, I know Walgreens has those promos all the time and i'll probably pick up 2:) I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that it doesn't break me out because so far i'm pretty happy with it.

Lip Treatments -MAC - Strobe Rays Tinted Lip Conditioner Stick

I'm in love with this lip conditioner. When I bought I thought, why the hell did I just spend 14 bucks on lipstick?? Buuuuut after wearing it a few times I realized its worth it! I've searched everywhere for the "just right" nude lipstick that isn't drieing and doesn't make my lips peal. This stuff is great, applies so well and smooth. Stays true to its color even on my pigmented lips. I just ordered another one online, I should of ordered more than one since it's limited edition:( I'm surprised not that many people caught on to this one. Girls reading this and are looking for a conditioning nude lippee...get this one!

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation - Intensive formula [DISCONTINUED]

GREAT summer foundation!!! I've been using this foundation for 3 days now and I LOVE it! I got the intensive formula because I feel I need more coverage, I have some redness and acne scars I need to cover up. It's been extremly hot in these past days and this foundation controled my oil so well. I ordered the 6 piece set, you get to choose a from foundations, brushes, lip gloss, eyeshadows and misc tools. GREAT deal!! They're based in Texas and I live in California so I got my package pretty fast, 2 days!! I'm sooo excited about this product.
Before using this I was using MAC's Mineralize Loose Foundation (it's their version of MMU) and on a hot days my t-zone would be so shiney and oily by lunch time. Before MAC's MMU I was using Bare Escentuals for almost 2 years but discontinued that. I used it and liked it but all of a sudden I began to break out, it was all bad. I think I was allergic to one of their ingredients.
Ok back to Everyday Minerals...Since the intensive formula is very dry before application I spray a little of MAC's Fix+ on my face to help moisturize, this also helps my makeup last way longer. I also spray once after application, so I don't look too powdery. The packaging doesn't bother me at all, the 8g containers stack very well together. I just placed another order today. I got another 6 piece set (got some stuff for my mommy =P) and a free sample kit just because it was free, why not right?? I got a foundation in Original Glo, some reviews suggest you try a mixture of the intensive and original glo formulas, makes a great combo. Soooo I will try that and update later. Anyway, this product is great and it's sooooo cheap compared to MAC and BE. Sooooo if you are looking around for mineral makeup please try this first, it's natural and cheap=]

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)

I purchased this brush out of frustration and my growing interest in MAC makeup. I originally bought the Coastal Scents imitation. I was like alot of people that didn't want to spend over $40 on one brush if there is something out there that's comparable and really cheap. In the end I threw that out and bought the 187. I love it! Perfect for my liquid foundation, it doesn't soak up and waste any product. (With my Coastal Scents I was using 3 pumps of my foundation and I noticed with my 187 I only needed 2!!) This brush is soooo cute and versitile. I use it for liquid foundation, blush, skinfinishes and light application of powder foundation. I think for face brushes i'll invest a little more than eye brushes, I don't ever want to break out like I did with the Coastal Scents stippler, allll bad! This brush is heaven, so soft, perfect size, cute and chic! Will repurchase if I ever have to=]
