Bonfire, as so many have said, is a beautiful golden red -- not too light, not too dark. It doesn't have enough yellow in it to be orange, but it is definitely warm. The only questionable quality that I have about this lipstick is that it's a beautiful red in natural light but lighter and more orange in fluorescent light. So be careful to check it according the lighting you will have. I hear you about discontinued items. It seems that every time I find a product I really, really like -- especially lipstick -- they discontinue it. I have stocked up on several colors and several brands. I've stocked up on Bonfire, too.
Brown reds are my favorites, and this one goes at the top of the list. NARS really knows how to make some great brown reds. Kink, Congo Red, and Fire Down Below are three more of the great ones. I love Mongolian Red. It isn't too dark or two light -- just right for a substantial yet somewhat dramatic look. Thank you, NARS.
Oh, my goodness!! This stuff is gorgeous. My perfect color, brownish-red with some depth. I love it. I had no problem putting it on directly from the tube. It worked ok without liner, although, unless it's an emergency and I don't have time, I always wear liner. I'd wear this color every day.
I wouldn't call this blood red. I'd call it slightly brown red. And I love it. It doesn't go on dry at all on me. It is actually quite creamy. I think all lipstick looks better lined, but if Igo easy and put it on carefully, I can get away with no liner. I don't think it's too bold at all. Maybe if I put more on. Ha. Good stuff.
This is my perfect color. I love, love, love it. It is a little dry, as others have noted, so a bit of gloss will help. But I could not ask for a more perfect color. It is a deep reddish brown, but it doesn't look too dark unless you put too much on. A light hand and some nice blending makes it perfect. Maybe a touch of Paula Dorf Calypso on top. Now that looks nice.
This is good stuff! I love Extreme Spice. Very nice color, and the texture is creamy. I have no trouble with it staying on or bleeding. I'm very happy with it.
From the glowing reviews, I was expecting something entirely different. This turned out to be a sheer red, somewhat like Clinique Angel Red. It is a clear bluish red. I see no brown in it. I think I'll be able to wear it if I mix it with a creamier lipstick, but it's way too greasy for me by itself. I'm still searching.
Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Lipstick- Autumn

I bought this lipstick on Ebay and shouldn't have done it. I did try the tester in the store, and it seemed fine, but it turned out to be much, much lighter than I had thought. Much too light for me. I certainly wouldn't describe it as red or brown. I'd say it is a frosted golden rosy orange. It's downright pale. I do have to say that it has a great texture, though, goes on beautifully, and stays on nicely. It doesn't bleed or smear at all like some lipsticks do. The fragrance doesn't bother me. In fact, I think it's rather nice. It's quite pretty. It just is too light for me. ETA: I gave my Autumn away to a pretty redhead with fair complexion. It will look fabulous on her.
Brazilian is a absolutely gorgeous brown shade with warm red undertones. It is creamy yet not slick. I think it is devine in every way.
Lipstick -Clinique - Almost Lipstick - Black Honey

What a sucker I am. After reading all the fabulous reviews of this product, I just had to try it for myself. So I paid too much on Ebay and went for it. Color? What color? I may as well just wear Vaseline. The only thing that makes this a lipstick is that it's in stick form. I love lipstick, especially brownish-red, so I thought this would be great to try. But it isn't brownish-red. If anything, it's purple. Plus, after reading that Liv Tyler wore it in LOTR, I thought my lips might look like hers. Wrong. I looked up every pic of Liv I could find as Arwen, and her lips are red!! So if she's wearing Black Honey, it's over or under something else. This stuff is a huge disappointment.
I love, love, love this color. It's the perfect brownish-red for me. And one of the best things about Burnt Red is that it matches so many of my red clothes. I think if you wear red clothing you should wear lipstick that matches it. Otherwise, that's all I notice is that the lipstick clashes with the clothes!! This one matches so many reds. I love it. Not only would I buy it again, I have several tubes in my stash. The story of my life is that I find a product I love and the company discontinues it. So I want to be on the safe side.
What a disappointment. I was very intrigued by this new product and couldn't wait to try it. I bought Sienna, as brownish-red is usually my favorite shade. The first time I tried it, I loved it. (So I foolishly went back to the store and bought a tube of Berry.) But on the second try with Sienna -- and every try since -- it has been terrible. It isn't dark enough -- hardly any color at all. It looks sort of like a sad apricot instead of Sienna. When I first put it on, it feels smooth, but then it turns dry. It feels weird. And it doesn't last at all. The Berry has a nice, bright pretty color, but it's frosted. It doesn't say anywhere on the tube that it's frosted, and I was disappointed in that. I sent Almay an email expressing my disappointment and suggesting that they at least put the word "frosted" or "pearl" or something on the packaging. In addition, I like the see-through tube but hate, hate, hate the additional packaging. I like to be able to look at the color before I buy. Plus, it's terribly overpriced. I also have one more question. How can a lipstick contain water? Doesn't water evaporate? Shouldn't it contain moisturizers or some such instead? I usually love Almay products, but this one is a super dud from start to finish.
I was so excited when I saw that Avon was making a gel eyeliner in a pot. I was equally excited when I first tried it. But no. It's just.not.good! It disappeared. Where did it go? What a disappointment. I highly recomment Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in a pot along with the Bobbi Brown application brush. It looks the same as the Avon product but is great. It's pricey, but it's worth it.
Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Sepia Ink Long Wear Gel Liner

This stuff is awesome!! It goes on easily with the Bobbi Brown brush and doesn't smear. The color is gorgeous. I have green eyes and like the brown eyeliner shade. No matter how hard I try, pencil eyeliners smear on me. This one is just perfect.I love it!!!!
In my quest for the perfect "emergency" lipstick -- one that I can quickly put on when I don't have time for liner and a lipbrush -- I think Vixen is the closest thing I'm going to have to success. It is described as a brownish red, but on me it seems to have a bit of a wine cast. I have no idea why. But it is dark enough to be flattering on me yet creamy enough to last. I don't see it listed anymore on the Prescriptives website, so I fear it has been discontinued. I have a stockpile, though, so I'm good to go!
