i am usually not one for green eyeshadows, but i have made an exception in this case. this shows up on me as a very light green with lots of gold sparkles. gorgeous. a very unique color.
Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Shea Butter Body Lotion (Lait Corporel)

another winner from l'occitane's shea butter line. i won an auction for this off of ebay for much less than the $29.00 price tag it carries at l'occitane stores, which makes me happy. this lotion does a great job of moisturizing the areas that really need it (like my elbows, which have a tendency to get really dry in the fall/winter) without making me feel greasy.
i love these! i have these in rose, vanilla, strawberry, lavender, and lemon (which was my favorite, but i believe sephora discontinued it). i use these whenever i feel like wearing a light scent, and they have the added bonus of being portable, so i can use them as a pick-me-up during the day. you can't beat the $2 price tag, either.
this works very well for me, as i only use it for spot treatment. it is a bit too thick for covering up undereye circles (which i usually don't have a problem with), though, so i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to use it for that purpose. otherwise this is great for covering up red spots, and w10 is a great color match for my very pale skin.
this was a little dry in texture and turned orange on me (i am very pale). i have had good experiences with other mac lip liners, but this one just didn't suit me.
i always get compliments on this color whenever i wear it. mac's website describes this color as a "brownish burgundy", but i think i would add "with a touch of berry" to the description. because this is a cream lipstick, it is more moisturizing than mac's matte lipsticks. another one of my favorite lipsticks.
i really think that this is a great color, even for people who wouldn't normally wear red lipstick. very shimmery, very glamourous. goes on smooth and lasts long. one of my favorite red lipsticks.
i liked the color, but the consistency and the taste were just awful. for an oh-so-glamourous shimmery red color, i'm better off with urban decay's "gash" lipstick, which tastes better and is much easier to apply.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

a big thumbs down for this. when i tried to blend it into my skin, it just sort of sat there on top. by the end of the day it made my combination skin look and feel filmy and greasy.
i have combination skin that tends to get very dry in the fall/winter, and oiler in the summer. i tried this last summer for a couple of weeks before i had to hand it over to my boyfriend, who has oily skin, because it dried out my skin and made me feel like i was wearing a mask. i love the smell of tea tree oil, but all of the body shop's tea tree products, with the exception of the tea tree blemish stick, are a bit too harsh for my skin. unless you have really oily skin, i'd recommend staying away from this line.
this didn't do anything for me. unlike the body shop's tea tree oil products, which dry out my skin, this one did not. after washing this off my face, though, my skin basically felt the same it did before i used the mask. i'll stick with queen helene masks - they're cheaper and seem to work better.
ugh. this definitely ranks among the worst mascaras that i've ever tried (although i wouldn't go so far as to say the worst). i think the main problem with this is that the bristles on the mascara wand are so far apart that it makes it extremely difficult to keep lashes separated. as for the formula, there was really nothing special about it, and it did end up smearing by early afternoon (i applied it at about 9:30 in the morning).
nars matte lipsticks and chanel's hydrabase lipsticks are hands down the two best lipsticks that i've ever tried. i have nars' matte lipstick in "congo red", which is a beautiful deep burgundy red color. the staying power of this lipstick is amazing, and the added vitamin e makes it moisturizing as well. an all around winner.
Skincare - Body -L'Occitane - L'Occitane Foaming Bath

so decadent! i have this in amber and vanilla. both smell wonderful and create lots of fluffy bath bubbles. they are very pricey, though - $24.50 for 16.9 oz. of product. however, a little of this goes a long way. i save these for occasional indulgences after a long day of commuting and working.
this is a great neutral that's one of my staple, every day eyeshadows. it's also much less shimmery that other ud shadows, so you can wear it to the office. i'm a ppp and this shows up as a champagney-pink color on me. great staying power when combined with benefit's f.y. eye.
