Shampoo -Aussie - Moist Shampoo

I have dry, color-treated hair and all this shampoo did was make it feel limp and greasy. Also caused break-outs that cleared up as soon as I switched shampoos. I liked the conditioner slightly better, but wouldn't recommend it if you have acne-prone skin.

Conditioner -Aussie - Moist Conditioner

I usually like all Aussie products, but not this one. While the conditioner did leave my hair feeling really soft, I started breaking out really bad while I was using it. As soon as I switched conditioners, my skin cleared right up.

Shampoo -Garnier - Fructis Body and Volume
diana6 5/13/2007 6:56:00 PM
This shampoo really did nothing for my fine hair - no added volume! Plus it seemed to dry it out. I have really light blond hilighted hair, which turned more and more brassy as I used this shampoo... would not recommend it for blondes! The brassiness went away as soon as I switched shampoos. I guess the only pros are the cheap price and large bottle (which I am now stuck with!).

Skincare - Body -Banana Boat - After Sun Lotion with Aloe

I have really dry skin on my arms and legs, so I have tried many different lotions, but this is my favorite. I use it once or twice a day and it always leaves my skin feeling soft, but not greasy.

Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer spf15
diana6 5/13/2007 6:36:00 PM
I really wanted to like this since I usually love anything Aveeno... especially b/c it was kind of expensive for a drugstore brand. Good: I liked how "radiant" it really made my skin look and I think it might have evened out the skin tone a little bit too. Bad: It was a pretty thick consistency (harder to apply) and after a couple of days I started to notice more clogged pores and break-outs, even though it claimes to be non-comedogenic. I have acne-prone skin to begin with, so this was definitely bad! I'm using up the rest of the bottle on my arms and legs...

Self Tanners -Vaseline - Healthy Body Glow Daily Moisturizer - Medium [DISCONTINUED]
diana6 5/13/2007 6:25:00 PM
I've tried several different gradual tanners (including Aveeno, Olay, Dove, and Jergens), but I like this one the best. It works more quickly, so you don't need to apply it as often and I think the color is slightly better too (less orange-y?). AND it leaves my skin soft. Plus it's the cheapest of the bunch and doesn't smell nearly as bad as Jergens, although it does have a smell... which is my main complaint with all of these gradual tanners. My other top pick would have to be Aveeno.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Moisture Sensitive Skin
diana6 5/13/2007 6:20:00 PM
This is my daily moisturizer. I use it either under foundation or mix it with foundation (Maybelline Pure Make-up) for a tinted moisturizer when I don't want as much coverage. I have acne-prone combination skin and this stuff never makes me break-out! I used to use Murad moisturizer which was a lot more expensive. This is very similar, but much cheaper. My only complaint is that it sometimes feels a little greasy before it dries on your skin, especially on warmer days.

Liquid -Maybelline - Pure Makeup [DISCONTINUED]

I have tried lots of different foundations, but I like this the best! I have acne-prone skin and some scarring, but it makes my skin look glowy and healthy. While it doesn't have the best coverage, it's natural looking and can be used with a concealer. When I really don't want a lot of coverage, I mix it with moisturizer. I used to always look shiny and/or made-up in photos, but now my skin always looks flawless, even at the end of a long night! And when I've accidentally fallen asleep with it on, it hasn't made me break-out, plus it still looks pretty good! I would definitely recommend this, especially for the cheap price. Somehow it just looks like real skin, not at all like a mask! Also, I wore this all last summer and then everyone at work was shocked to find out I wear makeup - they couldn't tell I had anything on, but thought I had perfect skin! (SO not true)
