Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Bright Duo - Bustling #864
Radchickee 6/6/2011 1:19:00 PM
The colors go on very smooth and silky and both have just the right amount of glimmer. The gold shade is obviously gold, if that's what you're looking for. Can also be applied wet. Not crazy about the package design, as the teensy applicator is stored in the bottom half.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip glaze
Radchickee 6/2/2011 10:41:00 AM
The shine and ease of application of these glazes is nice, but these are so super sticky and goopy, they are uncomfortable to wear. I guess the stick and goop is the tradeoff for the longevity because the shine does last longer than some other lip glosses. Everything will stick to this, so try not to get caught in a windstorm. The other sligthly disappointing thing about these is that the paler colors are all so sheer, it almost doesn't matter which shade you choose.

Fragrances -Avon - Bird of Paradise EDT
Radchickee 5/31/2011 8:29:00 PM
This smells exactly like wood. It's very masculine, like a mens cologne. I think this could be unisex. I don't find it pretty. Update - I tried this again and changed my mind. I don't know if it's chemistry changing from day to day, but this was actually nice on the second attempt. It smelled very vintage, very different than the perfumes on the market today. I will be keeping this one.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Wet/Dry Shadow in Brazen Berry
Radchickee 5/31/2011 9:59:00 AM
These shadows are very beautiful. There is depth of color and all the shades go well together. There is a slight shimmer to three of the shades that is very subtle and never over the top. The darker shades are dark enough to use as a liner if you don't want to wear black. The package has a flip top that seems a bit unstable. It keeps coming apart if you push it back just a bit too far. But an excellent shadow.

Fragrances -Avon - Cotillion

This is a soft spicy oriental. I can see why so many people like it. I has a certain sophistication that is very reminiscent of the 30's when I think this first came out. It has a real vintage vibe, which is a good thing in this case.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Root Rescue
Radchickee 5/30/2011 1:13:00 PM
Despite what the package claims, this did not match my existing hair color. I bought the darkest shade of brown and was surprised that it had way too many golden tones and was too light and not natural looking at all. It was so obvious I had done my roots and the new color didn't match. I tired this because of the gimmicky application tool, which was mediocre. I normally use Clairol root touch up and I'm going back to that.

Lip Liners -Avon - Glimmersticks for Lips
Radchickee 5/30/2011 1:05:00 PM
I like these liners in general but I wish they had more shades to choose from. I would prefer to sharpen them but these are a bit more forgiving when in a rush. I find Avon's supposedly neutral shades to be consistently orange when applied, rather than truly neutral. I would purchase the mystery mauve and plum shades, but not likely the rest.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
Radchickee 5/30/2011 12:50:00 PM
I just started using the primer and it's doing everything it says it's supposed to. I can't say my skin looks poreless (I think that would be impossible without photoshop), but it does look matte and stays that way much longer than without it. And it provides a great base for foundation. It's worth the money. The jar is a bit hard to use because it's small and awkward but the product itself is very good.

It must come down to skin chemistry, but this stuff smells like pencil lead on me.

This is a cool floral watery fragrance on me. Not bad, but not great. Avon has come out with some excellent fragrances over the years but this isn't one of them.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream mousse blush in soft plum [DISCONTINUED]

A great mousse blush. Very wearable pink shade, easy to apply and blend. There is the slightest bit of shimmer, otherwise I would give this 5 stars.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin ] ] [DISCONTINUED]
Radchickee 5/20/2011 12:10:00 PM
This a very light blendable cheek blush. It's sort of a coral peachy shade, but not orange. It's very light and might not even be noticeable on anything but fair skin. It's good for when you want the slightest hint of color. Very blendable and wearable. It has the slightest bit of shimmer in it, which I'm not sure if I love. I'd give this five stars if it didn't have the shimmer.

Blush -Cover Girl - Simply Ageless
Radchickee 5/20/2011 12:07:00 PM
At first, I liked the way this blush could be applied exactly where you want it, because it's a cream. It comes with a sponge applicator but it looks better when you blend it with your fingers. After using it for a while, the product became lumpy and bumpy in the container - not sure if that's due to air exposure or why it's happening. Also, there are only four shades available, and all are on the warm side. The most cool shade is also the darkest, so it's easy to overapply if you're not careful. I think some cooler pink shades would be appreciated by those of us who don't want orangey cheeks. The container is also huge. It would take a really long time to use all this up, assuming it would be usable till the end, with all those lumps and bumps forming in the product along the way.

Lip Liners -Marcelle - Waterproof Lip Liner
Radchickee 5/20/2011 11:59:00 AM
A very good versatile liner. Comes in very wearable shades, from light to dark. I'm not so sure it's totally waterproof, or if it needs to be, but it does have less smudge factor than many other liners. Once you apply lip color or gloss overtop of the liner, it loses any waterproof quality it had anyway.

My favorite lipgloss ever. Not stickly or goopy. Comes in a variety of shades, from clear to full coverage. Excellent value. I continue to buy these over and over.
