I always thought this was a heavy, vanillic oriental, solely for those who like foody smells. Well, I put some on today, and I was really surprised to find a lovely, soft citrus-vanilla oriental, that didn't feel heavy in the least. I can sense the vanilla right from the start in the citrus notes, and it pretty much stays the same all the way to the slightly warmer drydown. I tried the EdT, and I would definitely consider wearing this any time of year. I'm sure the EdP and the extrait are even softer, but for summer I'd save the extrait for evening wear. Wow, this was a great surprise!

What a gorgeous fragrance. It's different from all other fragrances I've tried, in that it doesn't have top-middle-base notes, but rather notes that intermingle. At first it smells very citrusy and fresh, reminiscent of 4711. Then it goes into a lovely floral phase, very bright and feminine. Then lastly a light golden amber smell takes over, giving it warmth. Then it's all back to the citrusy phase again. And it keeps doing this, all day! I love it.

This fragrance is a tease. On certain days, it's impossible for me to detect its smell, be it on a paper strip or on my skin. On other days, it invites me in to smell its beautiful peach-colored concoction of apricots, violets, mimosa and roses, all captured in a beautiful glass bottle. Oh, how I wish I could rely on it to smell so divine every time! There's something so lovable about Trésor...

First time I smelled this, I thought: "Yuck! Too much amber!" Well, it's been lying around, and the other day I decided to try it again, soap within reaching distance. I was astounded. A beautiful, soft, golden scent started to emerge from my skin after a minute or so, a scent that was both warm and fresh at the same time. After a couple of hours it had turned into something very creamy and beautifully ambery, but not at all heavy, more like a skin scent. I'm impressed.

LOVE this!!! I've never smelt anything like it before, and rarely have I seen such a gorgeous piece of art work as LL's bottle. It's so original and playful, still it manages to stay credible and not at all childish. I love the anise and the white musk... This scent makes me melancholic and happy at the same time. The kids love it. This is a classic in the making. UPDATE: I found a Special Edition on sale for less than half price, containing the solid perfume version in the Gold Apple with a frog prince on top. I've searched for this for sooo long, and now that I have it, all I can say is that it's a gem in my fragrance collection. Beautiful.

I like this. I won't go into notes, I just want to say that this is a very classy and feminine oriental. I like the description of figs or plums in honey, it's very fitting. Lovely bottle as well. I wish it performed better on my skin, but unfortunately, we just don't seem to mix. Still, I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for something on the formal, ladylike side.

Fragrances -Gucci - Eau de Parfum II

In my humble opinion, this smells of raspberry soap, but not in the fresh, summery way. No, this is sharp, clingy, makes my nose hurt and gives me nausea. There might be some ingredient in this fragrance that I'm sensitive to, but it's rare that I have strong reactions in a negative way like this to a scent. Worst part: I can't even wash it off! Three scrubbings later, and it's still there! Save me!

Lovely fragrance! It's sweet, powerful, floral and oriental all in one. I especially like the honey and honeysuckle in it (at least that's what I can smell on my skin when I wear this, I'm not sure of the official notes). I'd wear this any time of year. It's strong but not overpowering – and delicate at the same time. Very feminine. Beautiful bottle and a gorgeous name.

On the right woman I'm sure this would be amazing. I'm not the right woman, however. On me, this was quite sharp and unpleasant, even though I can sense the creaminess somewhere in there. I've never had much luck with Rochas fragrances, and sadly this was no exception.

I'm sorry, but I just don't get this fragrance. To my nose it smells like all the other new florals that have come out on the market this past decade – a bit watery, a bit of rose, maybe some violet. Inoffensive, yes, but unfortunately boring instead. I generally don't like to put an age on fragrances, since I think taste should have nothing to do with age, but I must say this fragrance makes ME feel OLD, LOL!!

Lovely, spicy scent that becomes almost exactly the same as Ormonde Woman on my skin, only less rich. If I didn't own and love Ormonde so much already I'd buy this, although I'd probably be a bit disappointed by its tendency to fade quite quickly on me.

I love this fragrance – on a paper strip. It has all the things I like in it and it's very soft and feminine. Unfortunately on me it turns into something very chemical and harsh, it smells almost like glue. I've tried it so many times, always hoping that my chemistry will somehow have changed. But no, sadly not. I envy those of you who can wear it well, b/c it's truly a gorgeous scent.

Fragrances -Calvin Klein - Obsession

For the first hour I LOVED this. Strangely enough, I had never tried it before, nor smelled it on anybody I knew. And since my interest has turned from soft florals to orientals and floral-orientals lately, I thought I would give it a go. At first whiff I thought: "Oh my goodness, this could be an HG." I stuck my wrist under DH's nose, but he wasn't really impressed, even though I told him Obsession is supposed to be a man magnet... :) Anyway, for the first hour it was awesome, oriental with flowers and spice and orange in it and very soft. But then it turned flat. The flowers and the orange were gone, and I was left with a dry caramel smell. Not unpleasant, but not really a perfume kind of smell either! I put some Youth Dew on my other wrist for comparison, since I thought they were similar to one another. Not so in direct comparison. And YD is sooo much better on my skin. So I'll pass on this one...

If you like girly, fruity scents, give this one a go. It's very, very sweet, probably a great summer fragrance for the right person. However, personally I wouldn't buy this except for the beautiful, gorgeous bottle – there are so many scents similar to this one out there, and most of them for a fraction of the price.

Fragrances -Boucheron - Trouble

What posessed the Boucheron people when they chose this scent?! To my nose this is absolutely horrible, a mix of hard-boiled eggs and rubber. There might be some vanilla in there, but it's hardly detectable at all. A total catastrophy.
